Are you referencing the post you quoted, or other chatter?

Because, assuming Freeman and Moroknek sign, Williams is the second-most productive (and most at Texas) OF on the roster... Robbins seems to be legit, Peterson is older, but hasn't contributed, and then there are three freshmen.

Otherwise, with those 37 guys, we're an injury to Tinney, Robbins, or Williams away from being in a very difficult spot. Pack (32 overall, 5th OF), Monsour (229), and Monsour (242) are all highly-rated though.

Post I quoted. He has been insistent since the portal opened and lineup postulation began that Williams is not part of the equation

He will be part of the equation, but he has to come back to baseball healthy, and there is going to be a ramp-up period. He probably isn't just going to walk across I-35 in late January after not doing baseball for 4-5 months and be ready to start a few weeks later in the opener at San Diego.

There are just a lot of moving parts with him that it probably is safer to make him a luxury more than a necessity in terms of roster building/projection.

Well I certainly hope not, that sounds quite dangerous

She’s also the one that went to TexAgs looking for a lawyer to help him getting eligibility right?

Obviously of fans of Texas, we would consider this a bad decision

But maybe the guy is just ready to stop playing school and go play ball full time.

Freeman will be 23 in November, very likely a key factor in his decision.

Larson (above) seems to be an upgrade.

Not a good decision. I heard Moroknek is signing for more than this.

He was drafted because they had a deal.  He is older, can take the bonus, and not have to go to school.  Hopefully, it works out for him.  Sounds like the staff was prepared.
