This reminds me of one of my favorite internet listicles of all time. It was titled, "The Eleven Worst Songs of 2004" and as you read, you realized it was all eleven songs off U2's album How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.

Well that explains why he sucked so bad as a player.  He's soft as baby shit.

I mean he did throw for like 400 yards almost vs Oklahoma that one year for us….  That was definitely his college career peak.

We can talk missed penalties, if Venables is up for it.

This is a clear late hit out of  bounds with the official staring right at it, TE screen play to Endries.. There are at least two others of these, as the Sooners clearly pushed the envelope of hitting well after the play was over the entire game.

I mean, seriously. The 'missed call' rabbit hole is one that any OU coach in their right mind would try to stay as far away from as possible.

My least favorite U2 album for sure, but no one can call “City of Blinding Lights” a bad song.

Were they numbered uno, dos, tres, catorce?

I do not understand the criticism of Niblett.  After Saturday's game, he's averaging 21.6 yards per punt return.  Even if you take away the 75-yarder, he's averaging more than 14 per return.  And most importantly, he's been pretty surehanded -- no fumbles.  I don't think he's going to make anyone forget about the likes of Jordan Shipley or Aaron Ross, and I'd be the first one to agree that prior to the OU game most of his production had come against inferior competition, but he hasn't been nearly as bad as people on this board make it out to be.

It has been mentioned, but there should be a stat of average negative yards the Longhorns give up when nobler doesn’t just fair catch the ball.

As happy as I am for Tre Wisner, I’m sad for Cedric Baxter. If you remember him from three seasons ago, he was a force and completely fast, elusive and strong as hell. Plus, he’s a really nice person. I am afraid we may never see him reach his former self. I hope he has used his NIL money wisely. He told em that he wanted to start an apparel brand and had even created the logo, which was nice.

More power to him for a full return to his former talent and I wish him health, wealth and success!

Ummm…

Cedric Baxter was a high school senior 3 years ago and I think that he was injured for a large part of that season.

Baxter was injured almost his entire freshman season, but played and was largely ineffective.

Baxter was injured all last season.

Baxter has been largely ineffective since trying to return from injury this season.

There may be a theme here.

While this season is not complete, this is the third season he is on campus. He played for Texas three seasons ago when he started against Bama as a true freshman. He played in the playoff game vs Washington and had 64 yards rushing on 9 carries and 1 TD. More importantly, he's a cool dude and I want him to win. I can't imagine how hard this is for him. He could help the team if he was healthy.

The coffee and sunrise are double good this morning.  Outstanding effort from the coaches and players alike.  Keep that shit up.

good morning ya'll.jpg

I asked him to autograph the $1 with a Sharpie, as I wasn’t going to spend it last season.  To which he stated, Hell No and that it was the same $1 bill out of his desk that I’d given him the year before - touché!

ou players #47 and #49 come screaming in from the top of the screen at about 10 seconds, and then they both proceed to run like lumbering cattle while most of the Texas team flies past them. I remember the dark days in which this was reversed, watching our slow ass dipshits run a blazing 6.5 40 while ou players sped away from them with ease. Man it's good to have the correct order of things restored.

Happy to slam Mack, but this is apples to oranges. OU has been a mess under Venable. OU rarely had a bad offense or team under Stoops.

Agreed it's not a one to one comparrison, but no different than saying Mack got shut out while Sark never has.  Sark has never faced teams like Mack did.

(1) 2023, 2024, 2025

(2) : 3 years ago, 2022, he was in high school.

(3) Texas vs Washington, January 1st, 2024 (Less than two years ago, but two seasons ago) . . .

Baxter fumbled.

Apparently he was having a good game, but I only remember his fumbling away the game.

9 carries, 64 yards 1 TD

2 receptions, 39 yards

1 Fumble: 2nd play of the drive after Washington went up 28-21, Baxter fumbled. Washington scored a FG and then Texas went 3 and out.

After fumbling, Baxter had one more touch for the rest of the 2nd half. A 3 yard run.

Perhaps I would have remembered his running if he hadn’t fumbled away our season.

This was our 1st offensive play to Washington. It was clear he got hit out of bounds.

You don't remember his domination of Iowa State? His long run against Kansas State? Baxter was a big part of our success that season. The fumbles were definitely a team effort that game. Blue's fumble going into the redzone really hurt.

I seem to remember us having 4 chances to throw a short pass into the end-zone and win that game at the end.  We fucked those up too, so there are plenty of places you can say the game was lost.

ok that's a valid excuse actually

long snapper I could see but a punter #47 wasn't making sense to me

Those guys are allowed to fill space and "funnel" the runner to the football players

but we knew that and made sure to purposely viciously block in the back all their other guys MUHAHAHAH

Dude, it's his third season with the Horns, but you keep harping on a pointless detail. What the hell?

More importantly, you've changed my perspective on Baxter by reminding us he fumbled. Now I view him as a hopelessly bad failure and wish him nothing but unhappiness. I'm so sorry I spent time with him.

Thanks. Love to buy you a mocha latte if you have time.

He was a solid contributor as a true freshman in the 2023 season. People who are saying otherwise must be confusing him with Blue.

Baxter looked big, strong and fast against Alabama in 2023.  Or maybe my memory has failed me.  I think he got dinged up late first half or early second half.

He pretty much closed out the bama game that year when everyone knew Texas was running.
