I think arch is more than 10% honestly.

The truth?  No. I don’t trust him at all right now.

has he shown you anything this year to truth him? I’m not trying to rail on the guy. I do think the OL and Sark is a bigger issue today and last week.

but I do not think Arch has it right now.  Might not this year. We’ll have to see if he gets better.

Which play is more likely the work? The one that he has shown he can’t execute or the one he has executed in games this year? For fucks sake this is just not that hard.

Arch can fucking suck all he wants but that doesn’t mean we should continue to do the things he sucks the worst at. Try to win not try to run the Sark style offense. Even GDGD understood the very simple concept of call plays for your players not your system.

I wait with bated breath the 3rd quarter adjustments that Sark makes. If it holds to form the first drive in 2H will have a false start and a hold combo to deliver a three and out.

Both of these offenses are pure garbage. Mateer is a dumb shit who doesn't know how to properly read a defense, and Arch is very slow processing his reads while playing behind the worst offensive line in the conference.

Asswater.

I'm glad I gave up on spending the money to see this in person. I almost wavered on this game, but bought a guitar last night with the money I would have spent to have to sit in a steaming hot pile of cotton bowl shit and watch this

Again, if Arch is capable of learning that play, we have to run it. If he isn't, we shouldn't play him at all. I don't understand why that concept eludes you.

Because I want to win today. I don’t care about some sort of teaching. The goal is to win this game. Why that concept eludes you is baffling.

Think it’s 90% offensive line and playcalling

The play calling is more like 40%

When the OL is struggling you help them out. Spread the field. Quick pass game. Take shots. Creative screens like that blowU fake bubble tunnel screen. Shit like that.

We’d be ahead in this game if Arch could execute a simple slant.  How then is the coach and OL the biggest problem?  Our QB isn’t very good.  He’s just an athlete playing QB.  It’s the biggest problem.

You'd have us run 2 plays for an entire game? I don't understand what you're wanting with respect to that specific play. We have to run something else, and it was a good play to run that worked.

It’s amazing how effective quick slants have been. However, we’ll keep throwing ineffective screens and running Wisner into linemen.

I’m wanting us to call plays that have a chance of working when we are 5 yards from the end zone. Who’s talking about the whole game?

I would like to point out that the OL has been not great but the biggest issue is inexperienced penalties on Brooks. The kind of thing that playing him more against the 3 straight crap teams would have helped with.

But even still it has not been the absolute complete dumpster fire it's been all year with Stroh playing. OU is a good defense.

That is entirely too reasoned an observation , dude.

it's easy, just call the plays that end in a touchdown and avoid the ones that don't!

You keep missing the point: if Arch can't execute that play, he shouldn't play at all. I agree, I want to win today. If Arch isn't capable of making that throw, play Caldwell.

Please sark.. let arch be arch

Caldwell isn’t playing. So call plays that might work. You can Hope all you want but Caldwell won’t be playing

Other teams eat us alive throwing it in the middle in front of our secondary and Sark is allergic to any pass that isn't behind the line, a short screen, or 30 yards down the field.

I look at it this way: Sark and the defense allowed Arch a half to get settled into his first OU game.  The score is 6-3.

Fucking no way we can't win this 28-10.

God sark sucks in the redzone

Agree Sark does suck in the red zone, but we had the play, we had the td, just had ole sleepy at qb.

Yes.

NFL Films did a short video based on that clip, and the consensus from multiple coaches and players was that that's true 😃

Sark has to let Arch use his feet.

If you're scared to get him hurt, well that could happen in the other 6 games, too.  Stop coaching scared.  Go win the game or at least go down knowing you threw your best punches.

I wouldn’t say that. Matter has converted a ton of 3rd downs today.

Most of those were in Q1.

Also, which team's running game would you rather have right now?  That's what I thought.

Prioritized high school recruits rather than proven college players.

Texas might want to re-think that approach.

4 yards rushing on 7 attempts by RBs

when you take out that 37yd rush

its just unacceptable

We had two other successful RB runs that were negated by penalties that didn't affect the play. Wisner already had the edge on Brooks's hold and Mosley's had nothing to do with the play.

That's the case in most of our red zone fails.  At least one of the play calls scores if the players execute.
