Baby steps.

First, let's try to have more first downs than punts.

Maybe even double digits!

Let's focus on having more yards rushing than penalty yards. I think that is a better baby step

3 loss Texas is making the playoffs

Went to aggie but isn't a 2%er AT all. Pulls for his team, but loves the game and didn't even shit on Texas in 4 hours of hanging out.

In aggy lingo, a 2%er is an Aggie who isn't "redass". A student who doesn't help with bonfire, doesn't go to yell practice, and - gasp - doesn't go to every home game @ Pyle and stay until the bitter end while standing the entire game.

By not giving you shit about "tu" and "dem dern liberal, hippy t-sips who didn't help win the wars", it proves he is indeed a 2%er.

Depends on who the 3rd loss is to, and absolutely must include the last thing the committee sees being a win over A&M.  If 3rd loss occurs in SEC title game?……that path is a little more murky to me.  3rd loss to Miss St or Arkansas, cancel Christmas

My bad on incorrect aggie lingo. Amusingly, he is absolutely more liberal than my tsip ass and that's not a slight, just an observation.

The few aggy friends I have are 2%ers.

The redass ones, especially those who were in the Corps, are insufferable goobers who still "whoop" in public.

I’ll begin by saying, thank God this isn’t a night game. That said, State is very similar to Kentucky in that they haven’t won a SEC game in a couple years.

I hope they stick with Shapen because freshman QBs are our kryptonite.

Okay.

I'd be elated if we only lost 1 more game. We won't but even so, we will have beaten only 2 teams in the top 25, aggie and Vandy.

That isn't getting Texas into the play offs. This assumes the 1 additional loss is Georgia and also assumes Georgia doesn't lose any other games aside from Texas, which is in no way certain.

3 fewer hours for these backwoods MS rednecks to get drunk before kickoff may help.

Going to Starkville doesn’t seem fun after this last week. It’s crazy because Arch had a coming out party last year against this team. Yet, now it feels like he’s regressed.

Milwee may be the worst QB coach ever. Idk

You know how we won last night because Kentucky shit down its own leg?

Mississippi State and Arkansas have a touch of IBS as well.

Vandy and aggy are at home and this program has generally played to the level of competion under Sark. The defense will certainly bring it. You can expect those games to be competitive. So we'll herp derp our way to a hard to watch 7-5/8-4.

I would find something else to on 11/15 though. Honestly I may not even watch the Mississippi State game. We will probably win because they are bad. Either we play better and it's uneventful or it's another brutal, coin flip slog like last night. Doesn't seem like a great use of time either way. May just need to detox from this team until Vanderbilt.

I've never been to StarkVegas, and that is one SEC road trip that I doubt I'd ever take.

It probably makes Collie Station look cosmopolitan.

I don't want to watch the MSU game. I'm going to white knuckle it, but I think there is a good potential for a loss. Of course, I believe that to be true of every game left on our schedule. There are no given wins wherever the offense produces an offensive output rivaling Strong coaching and Swoopes at the helm.

At this point I'd be stoked with beating pig and aggie and winning the Nobody Gives a Shit Bowl sponsored by Another Fucking Company.

It actually has one of the best Ramen shops I've ever eaten at which is insanely perplexing. Aside from that, the people I was meeting with asked where we were staying, explaining that they just wanted to make sure it was a safe location.

Unless you are the biggest Ramen fan on the planet or have a bucket list of visiting all college football stadiums, hard pass is in order.

Knowing this team is wildly flawed, I'll enjoy any Texas win and hope it plays out like that Herman Sugar Bowl season where we struggled with Tulsa and every game was one score but ultimately ended up with a satisfying ending.

I came up as a fan during the Strong years, this is so much better than that.

This is my philosophy. My experience being a Texas fan has been Charlie, Herman, and Sark. I will celebrate any win.

They are moving to Nashville together. We talked in depth about the various SEC and non-SEC games we could attend. Memphis, Tennessee, Bama, MTSU, Louisville etc.

At one point I brought up Miss State. I said he's welcome to go but I won't join him for that one. Business has taken me there and even if Texas was dominating and undefeated this game would be the hard pass for the season.

That's a really long winded way of saying, fuck no.

…and I’ve got LSU buddies that tell me it’s a fun trip. Drivable for us. Bookending the trip with Thursday and Sunday night stays in New Orleans. And we’re well traveled people who just like to have fun on game day weekends and aren’t seeking some life altering cultural experience.

I still have faith in Sark to fix this. Defense has been strong (minus Gilbeaux), and special teams have completely flipped since the start of the season.

Yeah, it hasn’t been pretty, but every game’s another chance to improve. We’ve seen Arch play better, so we know what he’s capable of, it’s just about finding rhythm and confidence again.

My first experience with them was the Cotton Bowl when Jackie Sherrill was the HC. It was cold and wet like the Cotton Bowl always seems to be. Fortunately, it was after Ricky won the Heisman and we trounced them pretty good. Between the ass beating and the shitty weather the cowbells didn't play much. Also, beating Jackie did NOT suck.

Our defense will keep us close. But our 3 and out loser retard of an offense is what’s going to drain them all that’s why Vandy UGA aggy and probably Arky crypt walk to a victory. Zero sustained drives. Zero top even the best defense gets tired and by half time they’re gassed.   This is the bottom of the barrel in all of competitive college football offenses.  This is Sam Houston big brother offense

You forgot OU. We would have won 3 top 10 games (at the time) teams (if Vandy beats Mizzou- root hard for that) and lost to the likely big 10 champs, sec champs and a talented Florida team by 1 score at their places.

That resume sounds and looks on paper better than what you’ve seen on TV. That beats out a 10-2 Georgia tech team, or something like that.
the big thing would be that team likely finishes third (in a tie) in the SEC with tie breaker over every other 2 loss team in there. That would carry weight I’d think.
9-3 bama with some fugly wins was a Clemson FG away from making it last year. And that was with 4 big 10 teams. There will only be 3 this year from the big 10 I would bet. Name me a 4th. I don’t think you can do it.

Ill wager you right now OU isn't in the top 25 at years end and call Florida talented if you like its a shitty team who will fire their coach at the end of the season.

Big 10 gets

OSU, IU, Oregon, and one of USC, Iowa, or whoever runs 4th.

More importantly, I'm not holding my breath for 9 wins.

No bet. I think they sort of suck. And their schedule isn’t easy coming in. But, they get Ole Miss and LSU in Norman/ right?  At Bama likely an auto loss.  TN isn’t real good. They could go 9-3 or 10-2 if they get lucky. I’d bet on 8-4 or 7-5 as most likely, but who knows.
for whatever reason teams still get credit for “besting a top 10 at the time” team in some corners.
put another way- Saharan has us rated 9th in his computer dork ratings. Our schedule:

Buckeyes- 1

georgia- 6

aggy-7

OU- 13

vandy- 17

florida- 24

MSST- 47

kentucky- 53

arkansas-37

that would be 1-2 against top 5 teams, 3-0 against 6-20 and a loss to the 24 team and then 3 more wins over top 50 type teams that’s a top 10 team in the computers, a top 5 brand in the country, a TV draw etc  it’s not a guarantee- but show me 11 resumes that’s would be better than that

the main argument is- that won’t happen- bc we suck  and will find ways to lose more than 1 more game- which- probably true  but the team that played OU could absolutely go 4-1 against that schedule- probably the team that played Ohio state too

Really good defense and special teams can win games

Yeah, two percenters can be pretty rabid fans without going psycho over all the traditions and delusions.  We have several of them on the board.

I have a lot of high school friends that are aggy and very few of them are two percenters.

We mostly agree. I just sadly know the offensive game plan that we saw against OU has been send to the grave and the team we saw against OSU probably isn't coming back.

Our D can win a lot of games, but our ST has not been consistent all year, if better. Remember the false start penalty on the field goal against Kentucky? Pepperridge farm members. If our offense struggles so much against the Florida and Kentucky teams its logical to conclude that based on the very data you provide losing more than 1 of our remaining games is likely.
