Winter Weather 2026 - I Can Haz Cold Front?

Featured Replies

Record high for Austin today is 83. We might beat that by 5 degrees.

did i see correctly...88 in Austin Friday?? 😳

and we're pushing 65-70 in Denver.

just wow

There are plenty of places in the US for you fucksticks that want cold weather to live. By all means please go.

You're missing the point entirely. We all expect to be burned alive from july to september. Pushing 90 degrees in January is a telling sign of whats to come.

It's not so much the lack of cold right now that portends a shitty summer. It's the lack of moisture. The ground being dry as hell isn't a good moderator when the winds sweeping up from the SW into the state really fired up in May/June.

This cedar pollen can go fuck itself.

Q: “When is cedar pollen season?”

A: “2026….”

Winter-ish returns on Friday

I want to make chili but I don't like making it unless it's cold outside. Looks like Saturday is 59/39. Might be my best shot for awhile.

Currently 75 degrees which is fine. Also 500% humidity which most assuredly is not fine.

looks like we got some "cold" gray days for a while, which should make many of yall happy. Fuck that shit. Move to Michigan if you want 7 months of that a year. Total gloom torture.

Yeah, that’s what we’re asking for.

Do you have any ability to think outside of “me like warm”

You'd think a bschool prof would understand negative long term effects. Just hope he doesn't teach at McCombs.

That's woke.

If you didn't know what day of the year it is, would you like the weather?

I don't like Texas hot summers, I don't like cold and drizzle, don't mind cold, don't mind rain . . . I'll take a 75 to 80 degree day anytime.

Great. Move to San Diego. Otherwise, perhaps you should want places to continue to have the seasonal weather that mother nature first designed.

I don't want it to be -10 in Texas in August, and I don't want it to be 80 in Alaska in January. Places should have their actual climates. And yeah, there's a very narrow band of places on this entire planet that have "perfect weather" 365 days a year. It's the nature of the fucking planet.

It doesn't last all year, but it ends the day the oak pollen starts, which ends the day grass pollen starts. All with random high mold days mixed in.

Wow. I'm not arguing about climate change.

If I walk outside and it's a nice day, I appreciate the nice day.

I am acclimated to hot weather. I love it. But, I love three plus days, a year, where the temperatures does not get above freezing. Because, FUCK MOSQUITOES,

Yep. I just want a little cold weather to stop weeds from growing and keep bugs away for a little bit each year. I have enough endless lawn work and boiling heat and being eaten alive in the evening the other 10 months.

Its 74 degrees out, you'll be OK princess.

I spent 4 fucking years in Michigan. Right after living in Tucson for almost 6 years. I'll take the weather we have right now in DFW just fine (minus the rain today)

Here in Austin we never, ever say "minus the rain." Not even the day after Memorial Day. Never.
