I agree that's what it could be. It's more that they are saying this while the Russian TV stations are now saying they should leave Ukraine at the same time. Probably nothing but just something I thought was interesting.

yeah, that lady seems to be making shit up. nobody in the replies is finding the same info when they look

The simpsons have got so many things right. it is creepy. the movie idiocracy is batting near a 1.000 too.

My good friend was an Asst. Director on Idiocracy and told me that what we saw in the final product was 1/1000th of how good the on set improv and dialogue was.  They cut a LOT out of it to tone it down.

Quote

EXT. CITY

Joe hits the ground hard. He rolls around in pain for a beat, still barely awake.
AS we PULL OUT, we see that every single square inch of everything is plastered with advertisements. Even the passersby's clothes are covered with ads. Everything seems to be in some stage of decay.

WIDER ANGLE. Dumb-looking, overweight people wander around. On the back of everyone's left hand is a UPC tattoo. No one seems to have noticed or cared much about the garbage avalanche, or Joe.
Joe gets up and painfully limps around. He looks across the street, sees something that makes him do a double-take:

JOE'S POV:
A cheerful T.G.I.F.-Iooking restaurant. The sign reads: Buttfucker's! (In the exact shape, color~ and font of Fuddrucker's.) .
Joe looks at the sign a beat, at the kids' birthday party going on inside, back at the sign, and shakes his head. A guy and a girl walk by, each obese and wearing those T-shirts that make it look like you're naked.

Excuse me, (points to Buttfucker's, blurry-eyed)could you read that sign for me?

GUY
Read? Whudda I look like, a fag?

The guy growls at Joe. Joe stumbles off, nearly getting run over by a broken-down futuristic car being pulled by a team of dogs. The car is continually making that annoying dinging sound indicating an open door. Joe rubs his eyes in disbelief, then walks unsteadily, holding his head.

I attached the original Idiocracy script here in case anyone wants to read, pretty hilarious.

Anon compromised and extracted 820GB (364,000 files) from the Roskomnadzor, the Russian federal agency responsible for censorship of Russian media.  I'ts already been packaged into two bittorrents for the community to scour through.

https://ddosecrets.substack.com/p/release-roskomnadzor-820-gb?s=r

Quote

The 363,994 files in this release are in 43,593 directories. The release is split in two parts.

Files
Over 360,000 files from the Roskomnadzor network, totaling 526.9 GB. According to the timestamps, some of the files are as recent as March 5, 2022.

Users are advised to be extra careful as some directories, like ПОЧТА Приемная, appear to contain large numbers of email attachments. Email attachments are often a vector of malware and phishing attempts, so use caution and tools like Dangerzone and others.

Databases
There are two directories that we identified as containing the raw data files in proprietary formats for a pair of databases. Together, they total 290.6 GB. We will soon be releasing the raw data while we look for solutions to extracting the data. One appears to be a legal research database that, according to the file timestamp, was last modified in 2020. The other appears to be a database for HR procedures.

This.  Want to set Russia back for a generation or more?  That's how you do it.

Well it seems like Putin had already set Russia back 3-4 generations in the short span of 2 weeks.

It’s quite impressive to see a major country destroy itself so quickly, but also extremely sad because a lot of common folk in Russia didn’t have any role in this war, yet their grandchildren will now have a worse quality of life because of Putin.

Not much. It is just tit for tat.

They may be doing some of those businesses a favor. A couple had announced their intention to continue paying their employees indefinitely. Nationalizing their property would likely mean those businesses would not feel so obligated.

Little dusty in here…

Ukraine is one of those low-birthrate countries, but I am calling it now: Once the last Russian soldier slinks off down the road, all these young people who came back home to fight are gonna start fuckin. And they're gonna be busy with hardhat construction jobs rebuilding, so they're gonna fuck some more. Then when old habits kick back in and the dudes settle in to have a little incel time playing the pew pew pew shooty game, they'll think about when they blew up a real T-80, and these battling pixels just won't get it. Cute bored girlfriend right there on the couch. Wanna fuck? Sure why not.

You know those little baby-booties that them damn babies always fling off and you never find it so you gotta buy another pair? Well imagine flocks of them lost baby booties because post-war Ukraine is gonna be kids crawlin all o'er you like the kidnap scene in Raising Arizona, get your ass ready to open a chain of baby crap in Ukraine because I called it now, gonna be a wave of those cute little sticky things squirmin around.

Eh, they aren’t a monolith, and even under a very heavy hand many are risking long jail sentences to protest. Yeah Putin is yet one more sociopath in a long line of them but there is still a lot of humanity in Russia, and that’s without the freedoms we enjoy. I don’t hold this against the average Russian.

What you have to understand about the Russians is their very unique history.  Going back 800 years to the reign of the Mongols, the Russian regime has periodically killed its "intelligencia."  And throughout that time, the government in power at the time has killed anyone who was willing (or that they even thought was willing) to express dissent.

When you do that generation after generation after generation, it has an effect on the remainder of the populace.  You're constantly removing many of the most intelligent people from the gene pool.  But more importantly, you're instilling a collective memory and instinct to avoid dissent.  That's particularly the case in a place like Russia, which has never had significant levels of immigration.

The result is a people who are uniquely servile and, frankly stupid.  It's a nation of slaves.

Now, do I blame the slaves?  Yeah--I kind of do.  Because they have had opportunities time and time and time again to throw off their shackles and adopt a more modern, liberal government.  And time and time and time again they reject the opportunity and instead opt for the authoritarian.  And at some point, that's blameworthy.  At some point, it makes them culpable for the crimes of their government.

I mean, I get why they culturally are they way they are.  But that doesn't excuse it.

Someone Who Isn't Me can confirm that this is absolutely the case.

In fact, Someone Who Isn't Me has been on multiple calls lately where the sentence "well, how long until we have to leave the country again and get our assets seized?" has been asked.

And if I didn't know very certainly that that Someone Who Isn't Me wasn't you, I would think it was - in fact - you, given how accurate this statement is.

So what's the end of this?  Even without nationalization, what's the end of this?

Even if Putin were to reach some agreement with Ukraine--presumably with some cession by Ukraine--are we going to just lift sanctions?  Are businesses just going to go back?  "Yeah, you undertook a war of aggression, but since you didn't really succeed we're fine going back into business with you"?  Is that what we expect?

I mean, sure--the Germans will.  At least to some degree.  They kind of doing have a choice in the immediate term.  But haven't even the Germans learned that they need to diversify their energy portfolio so as not to be tied to Russia?

And presumably we'll put the Russian banks back on SWIFT.  And that'll definitely help.  And Exxon and Shell will go back in.  But at the same time, anybody who deals in consumer goods will have to consider the public backlash of going back into Russia too soon.

well, we will stand together in buying Russian gas! Fund Russia with billions and at the same time send arms to Ukraine. Genius!

How about sanctions that will cripple their economy implemented across the globe in just 2 weeks, unifying the EU, NATO and many allies? Is that not good enough for you? Germany will get there on NG. They have some internal issues to deal with first. There is no modern example of a large economy that just a few days ago had its hands in so many pots but which has been quickly and devastatingly isolated. Russia is getting it's ass thoroughly kicked by the US and Europe. They were not prepared for the price they're paying and it's only going to get worse.

Crimea is amazing.  20 years ago my first trip to the region was to Kyiv, Simferopol, and Yevpatoria.  I believe I will return one day to a free Ukraine, free Crimea.

It's not just public backlash.   For companies not concerned with that investment risk is multiples of what it was before.  Particularly as long as Putin is in power.  Good luck finding financing, etc. at anywhere near the same pricing as a month ago.

In case any of you think I was exaggerating about the looniness of the Russian bio weapons lab claim—-  I present the Russian Embassy in Slovakia’s Facebook statement.  Please don’t mistake this for being just directed at Russians. This is for all of us. I machine translated, they worked hard to get this into good, professional Slovak.

It would be like Ronda Rousey kn her prime against a bound and gagged NowThis.

She laid in ambush and beat a midnight egg thief half to death with a broom, I'm told. My teenaged grandad got her to stop short of murder and the guy escaped down the alley.

Knowing my grandad, he had probably felt sorry for the dude and had told him to come get an egg if he was hungry.

This is the one that gives me hope Putin will be removed. Oligarchs will want their previous life back.

"The Zionist entity gathered all the rats carrying the Bubonic plague in Norway, and released them in all the Egyptian provinces near the Sinai. According to several Egyptian sources, this operation took place in 1967, and these rats still exist in very large numbers. These rats breed very quickly and cause significant harm to crops. They devour these crops very quickly, and destroy grain silos. Even children are not safe from them. These rats often bite children's limbs. According to these sources, the Zionist entity, since the beginning of the normalization of its ties with Cairo, managed to smuggle chemical fertilizers and rotten seeds into Egypt, leading to the destruction of vast areas of soil and crops in Egypt. This is a well-planned strategic operation, with both short-term and long-term implications, but the clear goal is to annihilate the Arab world."

Putin and russia don’t get it but they’ve united most of the world. New trade partners would be nice…Translation:

“President Erdoğan said that the time has come to lift the sanctions imposed on Turkey against US President Biden, He said that he expects the request for the modernization of F-16s to be finalized as soon as possible.”
