The kirby lane near me always has interesting art for sale on the walls. A couple of the paintings caught my eye so I ended up buying two of them.

The two paintings reminded me of luna above, chasing birds at the beach and always sleeping on the dog bed with her head off of it

The artist has a lot of dog stuff if you are interested

Took Chester canoeing in the Boundary Waters for the first time.  He did pretty great.  He whined in the canoe on day 1, but didn't move around or try to exit.  At camp, food prep was a challenge because it was all at his level instead of up on a counter.  It took him a while to get comfortable, especially at night, but by day 4 he was in a good rhythm.  Will do it again (occasionally).

Our sweet Penny has had the deck stacked against her for the past five years.  We’ve been managing her idiopathic epilepsy since October 2020 and other than that, she’s been pretty healthy physically if not neurologically.   For the past few months, we’ve  been noticing some weakness in her hind legs and a tendency to fall over while playing.

Vet has been keeping an eye on it and today we got the diagnosis that she has Degenerative Myelopathy - a spinal cord disease that progresses a lot like ALS.

We’ve probably got less than a year with her.  She’ll get tons of treats and hugs and all the playtime she can handle.

Here she is having fun with her frisbee on Thursday.
