I mean, yeah. It's one of the least surprising things to happen, except pretty much every liberal Zionist or genocide cheerleader that sees this will probably be shocked, as they were all dutifully parroting the "Trump is going to turn Gaza into a glass parking lot on Day 1" and "There's nothing Biden can or should do to pressure Israel" lines. Not that I'm saying Trump is going to be good for Palestinians at all, the entire region will be much worse off because of him.

The point is, Biden could have put a stop to this very quickly but he very clearly did not want to. Instead he decided to permanently damage his party's reputation/credibility, both internationally and domestically, and hand Trump one of the easiest W's he's going to get as President on a silver platter.

It was plain as fucking day what was going on from the very start, and we had to fucking argue about it nonstop for over a year and listen to the administration's lies from the pulpit about this conflict every goddamn day.

Bullshit that Biden could have put a stop to anything. It was Bibi's inentional plan to never do anything to help him and to get his good buddy trump back in office. Follow along in a few weeks when the corrupt US President goes to the UN and advocates for the exoneration of his corrupt friend Bibi because "witchhunt." They played the left leaning protest voters like a fucking fiddle. Not to mention the new administration will triple down on calling Arabs in the US terroists and will probably try to have them deported, so good work to the protest vote/nonvotes.

I disagree with you on Biden being unable to stop anything, but agree with everything else you said. They played everyone like a fiddle for sure.

I guess to be a little more clear, if Biden pressed to stop all aid to Israel and assuming Harris was in support, she'd have lost far more votes than she would have gained. It doesn't matter if I agree or disagree, just facing reality that Harris would have been far better for Palestinians that trump, under any metric, and the above articles don't change that regardless of Bibi's current nonsense.

not a person here on either side doesn't know he/she would have lost more support than that if he'd announced a cessation of support for Israel. the biggest catch22 of the entire election imo.

pfff....that region will continue to be a fucking shitshow for decades, and there will be countless opportunities for the arab vote to see exactly how Trump/GQP will make arabs lives miserable in the middle east. As long as we continue to march along the path towards a Christian theocracy, its more likely the arab vote will realize they have no allies here.

I'm saying this was a total unforced error by Biden. He got played not even like a fiddle but like a child's plaything. All that matters is Biden looked weak and Trump didn't. Kamala's bullshit "working tirelessly around the clock" talking point gets blown apart.

people largely have recency bias. Lets check back in on the matter in 4 years and see if Arabs are 100% on team GQP. My guess is the answer will be "fuck no"

This was a completely avoidable genocidal campaign. I don't think they will forget their lost and maimed loved ones, nor the homes that were destroyed, any time soon. We agree that the QCP's policies are worse domestically and abroad, but remember W had a 16 point lead over Gore in 2000 among Muslims (turns out, there's a fair amount of overlap between what used to be the platform of the GOP and the values of a traditional Arab household).

I'll let you figure out how much the Iraq War changed their vote.

I don't think Arabs have ever been a naturally monolithic voting bloc. It was only the perception of one party as clearly better than the other on one key issue that caused Republicans to lose so much ground with Arabs in the 2000s. But now instead of seeing Democrats as a lesser evil (which they are), both parties were seen as equally evil because they presented themselves as equally supportive of Israel, which I believe established a permission structure for Arab voters to return to their pre-W inclinations.

All because Joe Biden refused to actually enforce his red lines.

Biden fucked it up just about every way he possibly could've on Israel.  There's no sugarcoating it. The only real question I've got is to what extent was that a result of how he viewed Israel (based on him being old as fuck and still having a romantic view of the state from when it wasn't just completely fascist) vs how much was craven domestic political fear/calculation. Though it doesn't really matter, my guess is they were both substantial factors. But regardless of the reason, letting himself get dogwalked every fucking day by Bibi for over a year is embarrassing.

This isn’t why Trump won. Inflation was the biggest reason by far.

Trump won cause Biden overstayed his condition, and the Ds were left in no tenable position to run a proper democratic primary.

Puts a big smile on my face to see innocent people released back to their families, Israeli or Palestinian. I hope we see more of this and less death across the board. We all get swept up talking about who's to blame and who's evil and whatnot and we often forget that the vast majority of these people on either side are just trying to live their lives and survive.

That doesn't mean that Trump gained the votes, it just means that neither party gives a shit about brown people. Or Jews, or the welfare of anyone in the Middle East whose lives we directly affect with our actions for that matter.

Like, yeah Trump fucking sucks, but Biden was the sitting president until yesterday and demonstrably sat on his hands while tens of thousands died. Do you expect them to be happy about that?

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today released the first set of results from its 2024 exit poll of 1,575 verified American Muslim voters.

The national results show Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein received 53% of the Muslim vote, followed by President-elect Donald Trump with 21% and Vice President Kamala Harris with 20%.

CAIR also released Michigan-specific responses from 502 registered Muslim voters, revealing that Dr. Stein received 59% support, with Trump at 22% and Harris at 14%.

no and they definitely shouldn't have been expected to vote for Biden again.

Brian, that would be great, but I am afraid its not going to happen. Here's why. These exchanges

have been going on for 20-30+ years. It's the only power hamas has over Israel. Years ago,the was an exchange between

the palestian terrorists and Israel. Israel released 1000 criminals in prison for the remains of 1 IDF soldier. That's right, the

remains of 1 IDS soldier. In addition, a ceasefire is meaningless to hamas. All that does is give them a chance to reload to they can attack

they can attack again and they have already admitted that they will attack as often as they can. And yet, the Israelis are the bad guys.
