  1. That Perroni post is awesome. "Yes, OU backed off because they see him at LB, as does Clemson in the Isaiah Simmons role. It's true aggy is the only school that'll tell him he can play safety, oh, and by the way, he also likes A&M." Come to aggy, where safeties play corner, linebackers play safety, and students play army.

  3. Pages and pages of evidence of soldiers kidnapping, abusing, and tear-gassing peaceful protesters. Not once did you feel called to say anything about the clearly thuggish and illegal behavior by the soldiers. As soon as you thought you saw something you could jump on from the other side you piped up. You're a moron and a coward.

  6. When did protesting become a sacrifice? We are talking about walking in Portland, not navigating the jungles of Vietnam. The fact that you see that risk tells you more about how unconsciously we expect police violence during a pretty standard expression of free speech.

  8. Exactly this. The posters who like to think they're smart are admitting that the soldiers will fire on children and they take the time to admonish the adults who support children's right to protest peacefully. Not the soldiers who would illegally fire on children. That's not the issue. Complete morons.

  10. alright, @Axiom of Choice this is going to get real simple. My site, my rules. Pick your side - this isn't a logic game question this is picking a fucking side. Which side are you on? A) The side that fights unequivocally for equal rights for all american citizens. B) The side that doesn't fight unequivocally for equal rights for all american citizens. I will delete every fucking post you make from now on until you answer this question.

  12. here's the disconnect, dude. i have a 12 year old and a 13 year old. while they may not be old enough to make certain decisions, i would not hesitate to take them to a peaceful protest. because we have that freedom of assembly, as ensconced in the first amendment of the constitution. it is not the protesters, those peaceably assembled, that are starting most of the dangerous conflict. by and large, it is law enforcement that drive the violence, through shooting pepper balls, tear gas, rubber bullets. and i would argue that taking a 12 and 13 year old is worlds different than bringing a 2 year old, but nevertheless, we should have an expectation of peaceable assembly remaining peaceful. my family and i have a reasonable expectation to walk down the fucking street carrying signs and yelling slogans without being assaulted by the police. that we don't, and as you point out, it will actually be dangerous is the exact fucking reason to bring them to protest! at some point, we'll be turning this world over to them to make better. the police need to stop inciting violence upon peaceful protesters. that's the whole fucking point! fuck them i won't do what they tell me. they are OUR employees, for christ's sake. they should be listening to US.

  16. Libertarians are the exact opposite of people who expect others to act like responsible human beings. Ideologically, they want a government that holds people to the absolute lowest moral standard they can utter with a straight face, and in practice (as evident by their silence on this issue) their bar is even lower. In reality, Libertarians have proven time and again to be simpletons who adopt a contrarian stance on everything because it makes them feel smart. That they believe that in the absence of government “encroachment,” the better parts of human nature will somehow win out has got to be one of the all time stupidest self delusions adopted on a broad scale. It goes toe to toe with believing that leeches will cure disease.

  20. i know you already know this, but axiom is doing what axiom always does: try to cloud the issue with vague rhetoric. i mean, the government shot pepper balls at a naked woman last night. they tear gassed a line of peaceful mothers who were doing nothing violent. you are correct that the only way forward is to face down the jackboots and brownshirts, and that takes all of us.

  21. Ha! The effluvia from the Chinese damn burst will poison the seas and render all seafood inedible. Trump will cancel the election, declare martial law and be assassinated and replaced by a mid-level Lt Colonel who will insist on keeping the title. The wall with Mexico will in fact be paid for by Mexico after all to keep us here. 2021 football will be replaced with that sport the aztecs played to the death. And there will still be fucking COVID.

  29. Here's what rubs me. Father asshat knows that Texas is way more than a football team. Texas is a revered educational institution. What starts here does change the fucking world. For the most part, we do not partake the blatant cheating that institutions of lower learning (most of the entire fucking $EC) do namely because they do not have any sort of academic reputation to protect. He knows that in today's world with the NCAA turning a blind eye to the blatant cheating, Texas is at a disadvantage competing with glorified community colleges like bama. Texas is his and his father's alma mater. So instead of trying to continue the legacy of helping Texas hold to that high standard, he wants to ship his kids off to help a glorified community college continue to ruin the integrity of college football. Yea FUCK that entire family.

  39. Negged for disingenuous argument. Your statement is an absurd attempt to twist Brisket's statement into "I want to see children teargassed and beaten." No. He's saying children should be able to walk in the street during a demonstration without being attacked by imported federal jackboots. They've attacked Moms. Will they attack whole families who present no threat? If they attack a child, is it the child's fault? The parents? You seem to be in your last ditch of justifying what you won't recognize in yourself as fascism. "Well, the other side wants to harm children! I must stand against that!" It's your side doing the harming. It's the right declaring that the demonstrations are actually riots, sieges, and horrible displays of lawlessness. Lies and exagerrations used to justify the deployment of force. If you support this, you're the problem.

  42. Libertarians are those who have no clue what the answers are, so they espouse a policy of no answers/no regulation/no government. They even developed their own party to support this idea. That way they have someone to vote for, safely knowing their candidate has no chance. But they can say they did their duty. They voted. When whoever wins and tries to solve things with answers/regulations/government and it fails partially or completely, then they can sit back and say "We told you so. Tell us how smart we are now." The plan is not to ever actually accomplish anything, but to boost egos of those too afraid to actually try to make anything better. They bring nothing of substance to the maintenance of our country.
