i was given silent treatment after this incident.

me over text: i have a work call so cannot pick you up from the airport

work call ends early so I walk the dogs

she ubers home without issue

three days later after refusing to talk to me.

her: I guess the dogs were more important than me!

Silent treatment is poor communication and needs to be discussed and removed from the relationship in counseling, but this is stupid things husbands do.

Picking her up was something she wanted and makes her feel loved and appreciated.  Assuming work call could not be moved then explain and okay, but she will still feel less important to you than taking your work call.  Once your schedule changed you could have prioritized her and in her mind make her feel like you want to care and support her by letting her know there was a change and you will pick her up.

Instead you took actions that made her think you don't prioritize or think about her.  She wants to believe you are her man and that you will protect and support her, and here you failed.

However she found out about the dog walking is where he fucked up. Turn your Ring off before you walk out the door. Turn it back on when you return.

Lol isn’t that 1000000x more suspicious?

This is what car services were invented for. Neither of us expect rides to/from the airport from each other. We both recognize that it’s a horrible waste of each other’s time.

Thanks Dr. Phil.

But you're not wrong.

I never really understood the silent treatment.  It's like, hey I'm not going to nag you, or spend hours telling you about meaningless shit that you don't care about, or interrupt you while you are watching tv to ask stupid questions, and, I'm going to keep not doing it until you apologize for the thing that you don't have any idea you did that I perceived as some kind of slight.

I just took my wife’s dog on the porch and shaved it. So far she hasn’t said anything, waiting to see if she notices.

If this was about your wife’s kitty I would be more interested.

I sweeped and then vacuumed the fur, I’m not a madman.

Wife noticed after daughter did. It didn’t turn out bad. Tired of paying for grooming for an incontinent dog that cannot produce tears and needs to be shaved down every time anyways.

This is Truth

This is why my default behavior regarding the female is ignorance and inaction.

If I do something, it's wrong and I should not have done it. If I don't do something, I should have done it. Either way, I'm an asshole.

In the latter case, I have profited by refraining from any exertion of body or mind.

You could leave something brown n the blanket to get back at her.  Let us know how it goes.

Other day my wife was taking the girl to girl scouts at an outdoor picnic/playground. Drinks were her responsibility.

Stopped at Target and got some Capri suns and bottled water and a small bag of Ice. stopped at home. I grabbed the cooler out of the garage and dumped what ice we had in the freezer in to the cooler while she was opening the boxes of drinks. Put it on the tailgate, when she  opens it to drop the drinks inside

Her "oh wow, there's ice in it already!"

I always keep a bag of ice in the deep freezer for situations where we need a bag of ice but either don't have time to hit the gas station or I'm just too lazy to do it. Last time I got the "but that ice is old" comment.

Just tell her that means it was exposed to the below freezing temps longer, absorbed more cold energy, and therefore will last longer.

Yeah.  Always check the use by date.

Unless you're using it in drinks, then yes don't use old ice. It absorbs odors from the freezer and picks up odd tastes.

Better yet, don’t store your victims’ remains in your freezer.

I actually do something similar. I'll buy like a case of cheap water bottles, drink about half of each bottle and put them in the freezer. Then when we go to the pool or park or something. I fill up 3-4 bottles and throw them in my little travel cooler .

I was also told that you should keep your freezer as full as possible to make it run less.

The movie “Bernie” is one of my favorites of all time and Shirley MacLaine’s body in the freezer is a major plot point.

Pro Tip: Bourbon kills the odor and the taste.

I mean is she gonna notice the ring is turned off for 20 minutes?

You'd think that, but 4 months from now, something else will set her off and you'll be getting interrogated about those 20 minutes like your marriage depends on it. At that point, you won't even remember why the hell you did it, but your life and bank account will depend on it.

Are allowed to brag about our wives?

My kids are with my parents and @Knoxtnhorn for the day and night. My wife is traveling a couple of hours away for work. I was planning on taking the day and just working on the yard since no one was home. But rain.

Text to my wife "Well, no yard work today. I guess I'll be lazy. Maybe I'll go have lunch somewhere?"

Wife "I stopped at Jimmy Johns, there is a sandwich in the fridge for you. But you can tell your internet friends that I made it if you want."

Lol from both Dad and me.
