Can't wait for Team R to start bitching in, oh, late January that the House Dems don't want to govern; they just want to investigate all the time.

Expect Trump to start using this angle ASAP concerning the 2020 cycle:  "elect Republicans; we actually govern".

Then the Dems put out via MSM, commercials, mailouts a scoreboard of examples of how the Rs have governed.  A column for things they have passed, and a column for things they have blocked or allowed to be rescinded (enviromental regs, banking regs, etc).

This is what they have done concerning vets for example:

What a surprise - another deplorable dickhead emerges in this administration.  Secretary of the Interior Zinke, regarding the California fires: "It's not time for finger pointing" - and then, he does exactly that:

https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-california-fires-zinke-paradise-forest-trump-20181119-story.html

Ok, fine, let's say there is something to how the undergrowth intensifies fires, Imagine if there were a program out there to help communities understand these things and protect themselves better?

FirewiseBanner700.ashx?h=127&la=en&w=700

But no, let's not get behind this program and use it to improve our defenses against these things nationwide.    They have no intention of actually doing anything of substance, they just pay lip service and blame other people, waiting for things to die down or another catastrophe comes along.

We aren't talking about Puerto Rico much now, are we?   And nothing got done to make sure that doesn't repeat.  No, we just let them shrug off their responsibilities to be reasoning, thinking leaders who seek solutions.  I doubt Trump or Zinke have ever heard of Firewise.  It should be a buzzword right now.   They could do that with one tweet, but no.   Too busy dodging their responsibility.

Just imagine if Trump used his stranglehold on the GOP for benevolent and altruistic purposes.

The most infuriating thing about the Trump administration is he could have taken the Republican Party in any direction he wanted and he decided to go with nationalism based on a constant stream of outright lies, nepotism, and corruption.

Such a squandered opportunity.

Not really. The racism and bigotry is why they loved him. If had been a better person, they wouldn't have ever supported him.

Incorrect.  Ripping off the poor is one of the easiest paths to wealth.  You don't make it off of one score.  You make it off of 100,000 scores of a few bucks each.

Rent-to-own appliances -- rip off the poor for easy money.

High interest rate credit cards - rip off the poor for easy money.

Hell, back in the day, I knew a well-off family who had a simple business model: open a liquor store, make sure it's also fully stocked with cigarettes, and put a bank of payphones outside, and put it in a poor part of town.  The cash flow was amazing.

Poor, stupid people are the easiest marks.  The only challenge is that you need VOLUME to get rich.  The sad truth is...we've got a SERIOUS volume of poor, stupid people just ready to be ripped off.  All it takes is zero conscience, and the riches can be yours.

Trumpkins are dumb sheep, just waiting for someone to fleece them.

These folks really are the stupidest of the stupid.

When I was a kid, I remember my cynic mother explaining to me that "most people are stupid.  And in any election, the person who captures the 'stupid' vote will win."  My mom may have been wrong about some other things (I never went blind), but gotdamn, she was right about that.

Every time I think the Trumpkins MUST have hit peak stupid, they find a way to soar to new heights of absolute idiocy.

And yes, the Bigcoin idea is brilliant.  I'm kinda serious.  It's time for the rest of us to just say "fuck it," and get on board with fleecing the Trumpkins blind.  Never in history has there been such a huge group of marks that has revealed and labeled themselves so clearly.  I almost think that if we DON'T fleece them blind, we're letting our country down.

Team Ivanka's email explanation is beyond ridiculous

Analysis by Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large

Updated 11:38 AM ET, Tue November 20, 2018

CNN)Faced with a Washington Post report that Ivanka Trump had regularly used a private email account to conduct government business in 2017, the explanation from her side went like this: She didn't know that was wrong!

I'm not kidding.

Here's the key snippet from the Post story (bolding mine):
"Some aides were startled by the volume of Ivanka Trump's personal emails — and taken aback by her response when questioned about the practice. She said she was not familiar with some details of the rules, according to people with knowledge of her reaction."
Peter Mirijanian, a spokesman for Ivanka Trump lawyer Abbe Lowell, said something similar in a statement following the Post story. (Again, bolding is mine.)
"While transitioning into government, until the White House provided her the same guidance they had to others who started before she did, Ms. Trump sometimes used her private account, almost always for logistics and scheduling concerning her family," Mirijanian said.

How. Is. That. Possible.

Bitcoins aren’t even coins!  Why is the MSM hiding this from you?  BIGCOINS are actual coins, big coins, made from the finest elements on earth, and they are BIG, BIGLEY.

MAKE COINS COINS AGAIN!

MAKE COINS GREAT AGAIN!

Or Trump vodka, water, steaks, or any of the other poor quality products or services he has hawked over the last 30 years?

Off topic, but Chris Cillizza is a buffoon. He writes in the voice of a teenaged girl. That article is embarrassing to read.

Add buy here pay here used car lots. Know someone in this line. He has GPS locators installed in all of them. Collect the down payment and repo 2-3 months later, rinse and repeat, is the business model.  Inventory is low as you keep reselling the same cars every 2-3 months. He says he earns $8-10K per car a year and still has the car in the end.

Yep.  We could keep this list going, and going, and going.  The point is, fleecing the poor and stupid is a time-honored path to riches.

And we have a ready-made pool of utterly stupid, and mostly not well-off, as sitting ducks all gathered together.  Bigcoin, Caravan insurance, all of these ha-ha outlandish ideas....they could absolutely make MILLIONS off of the trumpistas.

have some respect for yourself, cnn.

Cillizza is a piece of shit and CNN should be embarrassed that they willfully employ him. The dude cares more about notoriety/clicks than being a real journalist. Total clown. Fuck him.

EDIT: When this country tries to pick itself up off the floor after the Trump presidency ends, kicking disingenuous fucks like Cillizza to the curb should be part of the process as well.

I'll assume this is sarcasm. Nothing will happen to Ivanka.

The GOP has successfully gamed the system. Rules/decorum only apply to the left.

That was exactly my thought.  That looks like something that an early middle school student would write as an assignment.  It's infantile, juvenile (and, of course, layered with utter bullshit - the 110 and 450 billion numbers are just flat-out made up bullshit.  And even if the 110 billion WAS real, Trump's idiotic take is that it would be spent in ONE YEAR, which is what it would take to create "hundreds of thousands of jobs.").  Our president writes like a lying middle schooler.  Jesus fucknuggets.
