So Alex January is 6’4 325 with good film (needs to work on the point of attack) and he’s ranked a 3*

the math ain’t mathing

Confused Thinking GIF

And playing against the best competition in the state. It’s not like he’s at some small school dominating lesser competition.

It seems like we could project almost the entire class at this point. The only question is linebacker, and I think that will come to light after we win some games and some of the competition falls apart. The offense is pretty much set if we get Baker. Without Baker, we are going to have to hunt for our next tackle.

It’s already been discussed but we may pass on recruiting any LB after last years class.

Justin Williams will come around when we start kicking ass every Saturday.

Also, I posted in the 25' thread, in-state has three LB's ranked inside/right near top 100 recruits in the nation.

Yep, really hoping we get Baker.

I don't have any idea re: the supposed "issues" around Aeryn Hampton or if he is a flake but I just watched his HUDL highlights and holy fuck is he good. I get it that it's Daingerfield and the opponents aren't very good but with some players ---- David Overstreet comes to mind ---- you realize it doesn't matter what level of competition he's going against. There's a play beginning at 1:34 where he shows a Davante Adams move at the line of scrimmage.

Maybe Sark thinks that he's worth taking a flyer on, ala Ramonce Taylor.  If he pans out, he's found money.

Give him $250k in NIL money and a welding torch and just see what happens.

Didn’t we just lose a big recruit that said his major was welding?   Lol.  I’ll accept those losses all day.   But also if a kids willing to weld in a Texas summer he’s tough.   🤷🏻‍♂️   He’s just dumb as a block of bricks but  probably tough as hell.
