Yea, Sark is losing all kinds of sleep thinking of where A&M ranks among recruiting competitors.

Me, neither. I'm perfectly normal.

It;s hilarious to me that those pea-brains on the Brazos think the only reason one would choose Texas over them is NIL $.

No reference to overall success, recent success, culture, coaching staff, draft success, trajectory of program, national pull/significance, returning players, national brand etc. not even leaning into the "playing school" aspects.

Money=only way

Yeah, but they've got a dead dog cemetery, dorky milk men, toy soldiers, Soviet-style architecture, and a variety of pitiful sadomasochistic rituals to go with the bestest fans ever.

It takes a lot of money to pull 18-year-old kids away from that.

The two things I find most amusing about these comments from the boards:

1) The ministry's full-throated defense of the Elk's regime and recruiting prowess.

2) The (apparently) growing view that Jimbo was fired too early, that he could have been made CEO and all would be well.

Both are hilarious.

Since they are paying him all of his contract, could they force him to come back and work for it?  I’d very much like to see that play out.

I’m guessing got his undergrad at aggy and a graduate degree at Texas.

It strikes me that there is at least an outside chance that he's actually an Aggie,  and he's contributing in someway back to the University.  I think those that financially support the program might be more critical and likely to call bullshit.  Texags might be better served by claiming they are under-gunned and need the red asses to get their checkbooks out.   Course it's Aggie,  so that would make too much sense,  and while it might help the program,  it might cause less support for TA,   so it's more likely that Margot Robbie tracks me down cause she's lonely than the TA's calls out the fanbase or admin.

“Leading the list of 13 independent contractors paid six figures or more was Maroon & White LPthe parent company of the online fan forum TexAgs.comwhich received $1.1 million for "external marketing services.”

After reading this last week, I’m not sure why TexAgs subscribers expect any objectivity from the copy writers.  TexAgs is a marketing branch of the athletic dept, not an objective news outlet or discussion forum.  There isn’t another light to look at it in.
