I mean, who even knows where Marist and SFU are located?

Well, I do, of course.  Marist is in Poughkipsie, NY.  Rik "The Dunking Dutchman" Smits played there.

Well, it seems that technically you would if you could spell Poughkeepsie, but...

What's Trev's buyout?  Aggy won #1 in something this athletic year, and another good buyout might maintain that momentum.

Its an AD, so nothing that will break the bank like a HFC.

Their Bobcat drove off the upper deck of the stadium some years ago, so they would have to borrow a larger piece of equipment to get Elko out the door. Not saying it’s impossible, but…

I feel like she's using her son's NIL to her benefit clearly.  She's on like baby daddy 3 and just divorced the last one in the last year or so.

Either he needs to engage directly these clowns, or he needs to hang his hat on a solid 5 year college career, and move on to either the minors or a career in the real world using that aggy degree he earned.  Looking at the TxAgs thread, I think the ones "supporting" her have seen her social media and don't want to slam the door on a single mom.

Bro, have you seen their budget? Of course they will because they have more money than anyone....  But...  right now the football roller-coaster is boarding, fire Elko talk is for late October.

Gotta replace the baseball and softball coaches first.

I'm confused, the kid was enrolled at St. Edward's and ATM at the same time and was playing baseball.

How the fuck is that even possible?

Why would a kid  smart enough to carry 24 hours receiving all A's and play baseball spend 3 years at a Juco unless he didn't have the credits needs to transfer or wasn't good enough to catch anyone's attention.

This is nothing short of greed if the play is to stay in as long as possible to get paid for what reason? He was forced out by the NCAA?

Hell, sue all the D1 coaches who didn't recognize your son's talent because obviously someone that smart and that talented didn't need to spend the first three years of his career at a juco.

Here I am still celebrating the SEC Coach of the Year award and now there's something about a Chestnut lawyer needed, a Christmas ho in a Leander tavern, and a long post sorely in need of a tl;dr. What's going on?

Spoiler

Travis began his career at Temple Junior College, where he played two seasons. Due to the NCAA's COVID-19 relief policy, JUCO athletes were granted an extra year of eligibility for the 2020-2021 academic year, allowing Travis a third year at JUCO, he did not play a 3rd year at Juco, he transferred to Texas A&M and played two full seasons (2023 and 2024), contributing significantly, especially during the team's College World Series run.

Despite being academically enrolled and on track to graduate, Travis was denied a fifth year of eligibility at the Division I level after the CWS, not due to injury, misconduct, or grades, but solely because of the NCAA's "five-year clock" rule. That rule limits all student-athletes to five calendar years from their first full-time enrollment (including JUCOs) to complete four seasons of eligibility.

Travis didn't give up. He stayed enrolled at Texas A&M and simultaneously played his final season at St. Edward's University (DII) in 2025. This spring, he carried 12 online credit hours at Texas A&M and 12 in-person hours at SEU, a 24-credit academic load while playing a full season of college baseball. He broke the 45-year-old SEU stolen base record (currently has 40) with 11 homeruns on the season AND finished all 24 hours with all A's! That kind of effort reflects a student-athlete who has gone above and beyond to stay on track academically and athletically.

Travis odd playing history

Okay, here is what I gathered in this cluster fuck.

Temple DI (Where he apparently started and allegedly played)

2021 (covid season)

2022

Aggie NCAA (Where he allegedly got his degree in remote learning)

2023

2024

St Edward's DII (where he played)

2025

So because covid and Diego Pavia case Leander Thirstrap Chestnut wants free legal help getting her son a 6th year of play in D1.

Oddly, there are no stats that I find in the link above at Temple, but his great contribution at aggie was batting about .255

I actually found doing a search for Temple College 2021 baseball roster that the played 98 games for them in 2020-21 and 2021-22:

https://tcleopards.com/sports/bsb/2021-22/bios/chestnut_travis_754t?view=career&pos=h

I don't know when he graduated from Pflugerville and the best I can tell is he isn't very big, but can run.

As you pointed out he didn't hit much for the Ags and reading his bio there he was a utility player whose biggest contribution was as a pinch runner.

He goes to St. Ed's where he hits well and racks up stolen bases, but he is 23 turning 24 next fall and I doubt he gets much attention from any MLB team aside from an offer to sign.

So I am confused where according to Mom he got "pushed out" by the NCAA.

Having heard some stories about Ray, this might explain his playing for the Banditos.

Based upon any actual second hand knowledge, no idea, but this is the internet so yes.

Thirst trap aggie mom is simp trolling Texags for a lawyer to help her son to get a 7th year of baseball eligibility at I guess a 4th school (or at least a sugar daddy to help pay her bills).
aggie is bad at all sports with a bat.
Texags is melting down cause the fall football roller-coaster has yet to board.
Randolph Duke made an appearance.
aggie is, "shockingly" still a cult with lotsa bizarre myths.
