He gave ou a silent back on his OV... Bet his family realized after the high off that visit wore off.. That long term Texas is the best spot. Still kinda surprised he dropped his dream school, Florida from his list

Maybe they maxed out their DL/EDGE budget on Guervil.

Is Napier's seat hotter than Venables?

I respect the Napier hustle. Took Lagway as a hostage, convinced UF to use his buyout money on NIL, and then sold this bullshit to podcast verse namely Andy Staples and Bud Elliott. Absolute agent masterclass in how to save your client’s job.

UF recruiting still sucks, but they’ve talked themselves into anything is possible with Lagway/dark horse national championship bullshit. Lagway is great, but they just don’t have enough dudes.

GATA ain't winning a MNC with QB Lagway on a pitch-count!

One strategy I think we’ll see get deployed by strategic families is to avoid risky situations even if they’re a recruit’s favorite choice and send them somewhere stable. If that risky situation clears up, try to transfer if you want. Seems obvious, but that couldn’t be done in the past and I’m not sure how many people it’s occurred to yet, but it’s only going to further cloud roster talent and depth going forward.

I wonder if we will also see top recruits commit to second tier schools, like Baylor or Tech or SMU, for the payday and to play right away, then transfer to a contender with NFL development chops after a year or two.

Top schools will have more money tied up on their current roster and fewer opportunitiesto start as a freshman, so this could be a play.  It might not always be the best move for player development,  but if the money is right...

Take it one step farther and you may see recruits encouraged to commit to lower tier schools to finish “baking” and then transfer to the big school later. Nothing stopping an OSU collective paying for the NIL rights for a kid who goes to Toledo for a couple of years.

Feeder programs, basically

LSU is already telling kids to go to UL Lafayette to do exactly this.
