I like that TCU, OU and OU Lite are both in this list

I don't like that three out of the five worst losses are by Big 12 teams.
Texas needs to get the fck off the couch.
And start setting examples again.

That's tOSU, not OU lite.

You do realize those in the top 7% are for the most part “scary smart” as well right?

Not sure about that.  For one thing, if you're in the top 7% of your high school class, at a highly competitive high school, why are you looking at UT?  And, if you are "economically disadvantaged," you can probably get into somewhere else that's ultimately cheaper.

This was TCU's Shock the Nation tour.

I know rationally you should be happy to have had such an amazing season but the humiliation at the end sours the whole thing.

It took me years to go back and remember the good times in that 1990 season, the ending was so shitty.

But unlike that 1990 Texas team they don't even have a conference championship trophy to cry into.

"luck" had nothing to do with them coming back to beat Baylor on the road. Duggan willed that team to a win in the 4Q along with FG execution that was as perfect as you could get. A resilient team that refused to be beaten and didn't allow it. Hats off to them.

I don't give a shit about TCU and it getting destroyed tonight, whatever. But it had a great season and luck was the last thing that was involved.

They had plenty of luck, it's okay to be wrong. Lots of fans insist on mythologizing lucky teams and assigning it to some metaphysical winneriness. A year ago lots of posters here were jealous of Baylor and Aranda's clutchitude and will to win. They were also lucky.

A team can be both good and very fortunate. It happens.

Why wouldn’t you be looking at UT? Esp plan II or one of the other honors programs. There’s a whole lot of room between economically disadvantaged and your parents being able (or willing) to send you to an Ivy or Stanford (or vandy rice etc).

i know this is totally off-topic but a spacex launch in to a retrograde polar orbit is heading towards antarctica and will emerge in to sunlight over the south pole in 20 or so minutes and it's just really fucking cool watching it on the Big Board

those teams couldn't be more different in how they won games.

baylor physically beat on people. the only reason scores were closer than a beating would suggest is because their offense was fucking pathetic (and still is). they also railroaded ole miss in the sugar bowl after winning the ccg

tcu won a bunch of games this year, pulling wins out of their ass. good teams can come from behind and win - which tcu did.

great teams don't need to come from behind often because falling behind isn't something they make a habit of doing.

Imagine this year's playoffs with TCU #4 where they belonged instead of artificially preventing a Big 10 rematch in the first round.

TCU gets crushed in the first round.

Michigan - OSU is a good game

Championship is a good game

Yeah, it’ll be absolutely awesome when Georgia snags ~5 of the top 15 recruits in Texas next year.

Stetson Bennett <=> John Parker Wilson

Don't give Kirby Smart that much credit, even if he has all the Saban blackmail one might hope for.  Florida is the farthest he's able to successfuly recruit from.
