I still have two episodes left of Black Rabbit, but I have loved it for the most part. The push and pull of two flawed, unlikeable characters competing to see which one is king dipshit is fun for me.  But I also wouldn't recommend it to everyone I know.

Obviously most on here have seen it, but goddamn this Sheen doc is good. About 3/4 of the way through ep 1.

It's kind of an obvious redemption effort by Sheen.   It was Ok but damn if he isn't still a smarmy prick.

Binged all for episodes of Adolescence last night.

Really good.

Last episode was hard to watch.

Watched Wind River again today.   Man, such a great but heart wrenching movie.  I forgot how well cast this was;  Renner is fantastic and Olson does a good job, in a limited amount of time, of making her character really stand out.   Graham Green is excellent as well whenever he's on screen.  The scene at the end with Cory and Martin is so good.  It would have been easy to end the movie in the hospital room but having Cory visit Martin really makes it all hit hard especially when Cory sees the picture of the two girls together.

You’re forgetting peak Elizabeth Olsen and Monica are pieces of ass.

Monster is pretty brilliant. It's horrific, but not gratuitously. I'd never heard of Gein.

Anyway, I think it's elite.

My wife is a big Son's of Anarchy era Charlie Hunnam fan, so I told her there was this new show on Netflix that he's in that we should start watching.

Yeah, no sex for me tonight.

I don't know if its gonna be worth the time investment yet.  Does not feel as good as Dahmer to me after one episode.

Ed Gein? Maître d’ at Canal Bar?

The show is done really well. Never seen this actor before but man he goes for it. We usually watch something lighter right after to try to cleanse the palate.

I want to know what happened to Taylor Sheridan that he went from writing female characters like Olsen and Emily Blunt in Sicario to...literally every female character since.

Marriage does that to a man.

I knew I recognized something about the actor but couldn't place him. As said above your post, it's the actor from Sons of Anarchy. He's brilliant in this. We watched it the same way.

Goredho, I was wondering if we should proceed after the first episode. We were fascinated but, more than that, we were unsettled. It's not the same thing episode after episode. There's are real character arcs and a terrific cast to dramatize them. The tie to future movies is used in a very interesting way. The second to last episode includes scenes that border on the obscene as my beloved noted. Richard Speck became maybe the most depraved human to enter my sight. The portrayal is dead accurate. I recall seeing a photo and video of him in prison in the news last century.

It's pretty simple.  Look at the money made from his great writing vs the money made from his shit writing.  He knows where to spend his time.

Yeah, I will keep watching, not sure if my wife will.  I can't imagine binging it, though.  Unsettling is a good word for it.   After one episode, I wanted something else to remove it from my brain.

I am late to the Unknown Number party.

Spoiler

I am going to go ahead and say a prayer for the dude that marries Lauren and any children she may have.  There is no way she is going to be able to be a mentally healthy person in this lifetime.  And she was the only sympathetic figure in the whole mess.  The sociopathic mom is obviously off the charts, but the other kids, their parents, I kind of want them all to be sequestered away from the rest of society.

A colleague told me that they are bringing back Mindhunter for a third season, so I went to look it up, because Mindhunter is incredible. Turns out the end of this show recreates a lot of Mindhunter including using the same actors, actors who look similar, and scenes as well. Apparently it drew some backlash from the Mindhunter faithful. I'm not at the end yet, but I'm curious how it was done.
