The ACA subsidies isn’t going away. A friend of mine just had his costs go from $1700 a month to $2800 a month. While he and his family can afford it - that is a massive hit on anyone’s budget. That $1100 a month kills spending money. It’s insane.

Exactly.

I can afford a similar increase, fortunately.  But that money still comes from somewhere else, for all of us.  Maybe some of us don't travel as many times per year, or we stop going out to dinners, or we buy a cheaper car for the lower monthly payment.  Or maybe we refuse to change our monthly spending and the huge new insurance premium eats up some or all of what was left over at the end of the month, so it's not going to our bank or our brokerage accounts.

And for some folks, it's way worse: they stop buying as many groceries, or new clothes, and they cut their electrical usage, etc.

I mean, if someone actually wanted to tank the American economy, this would be fantastic place to start.

A $200 or $300 premium for the Trump version.  https://www.bondarms.com/www.bondarms.com/Stinger-P8525.aspx

Being in Granbury and 2A oriented, they're probably Trumpy as fuck.

But also may be a brilliant grift that we failed to take advantage of.

That gun is ugly as homemade sin.  I wonder if they had inventory that they couldn’t move, but a simple engraving session and double the price and suddenly they are in demand.

Full List of Degrees Not Classed As ‘Professional’ by Trump Admin

Students doing certain degrees may no longer receive the same amount of reimbursement for their studies now that the Department of Education is implementing various measures from President Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill.

One measure coming into action is that whether a degree is considered "professional" will influence how much reimbursement a student receives for their higher education.

However, there are a number of what many see as "professional" degrees missing from the new list, such a nursing, which sparked significant concern among nurses and nursing organizations.

That said, the occupations not deemed professional among the health care space include nursing, physician assistants, physical therapists and audiologists, according to the education news outlet Inside Higher Ed.

Per the outlet, other professions not included are architects, accountants, educators, and social workers—which sector representatives pushed to be included in the list, given that they are high-demand occupations.

It has also been reported that engineering, a business master's, counseling or therapy, and speech pathology will not be considered "professional" either.

Easy there assuming they’re trumpy, that’s a major leap given those details! About on par with assuming a realtor in the north dfw burbs is maga, how dare you!

Newsweek needs a professional editor, that article just about broke my brain. This paragraph in particular was something

This means that those doing high-costing degrees, who may no longer receive the same amount as their degree may not be deemed "professional," could financially struggle to cover the costs—which could deter students from choosing to pursue those high-demand careers.
