'25 name are it it seems. Karen, gonna bring the lulz

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/weather/2025/03/11/hurricane-names-list-for-2025-atlantic-season/81924597007/

CSU hurricane forecast hasn't officially come out but word is, it's going to be normal.

https://www.pnj.com/story/weather/hurricanes/2025/03/10/early-2025-hurricane-season-predictions-forecast/82227720007/

"Normal" seems to track with the neutral phase (El Nino,/La Nina) we be predominantly in during the season as well.

Without accurate data insurers will assume the worst

The insurance lobby likely approves of the cuts as cover to raise rates.

Calling it right now: Jerry (which immediately precedes Karen) is going to be one of those just messin' around in sweatpants storms but Karen is going to come onshore with severe speak to the manager energy.

Due to the nice wind today - our power is out (west Houston - 99 south of 1093). Nice little trial run for the storms this year. Generator is running. OTA works well. We need to up date our pantry and get some new bottled water. Other wise, we are ready for the shit show.

Here are the “comp” years to 2025 where the environment is “neutral”, meaning neither La Niña or El Niño.

^^^ He's posting what NOAA has come up with.  Once he says what he believes to be true I'll pay more attention.  We'll all find out together in a few days.  Ready or not, June 1st is here.
