Had to look up Gatlin Blair. Apparently has been on an LDS mission the past 2 years and will join the Ducks this spring. I thought being an elite Mormon athlete and not going to BYU would get you excommunicated.

I just googled him too. Idaho had a top player is wild

Sorry, I got lost on the last page. Where did moving Baker to guard come from?

Bobby / Gerry suggested it as a possibility if Texas identifies a Tackle in the portal they really like (over IOL options).

Colston Loveland just went 10th overall in the NFL Draft last year.

I could see that being a good move. Baker is not athletic enough for tackle IMO.

I don't know about the athletic part, but he doesn't look long enough (based on my eye balls) to be a tackle in the league. It may be (in my very non-expert opinion) a good career move for him. The NFL loves lineman who can play multiple spots

There is a very good chance that our reporters gaslit those morons into meeting Reed's absurd financial ask with all the shit they were stirring the past 24 hours.

When Obi Wan Kenobi says "These are not the droids you are looking for" is that happening inside the stormtrooper's head? Otherwise why wouldn't the other stormtrooper be suspicious that his buddy

"Reed is not a good QB."

"You stupid sips, you can't tell us who a good QB is! Marcel Mutherfucking Reed absolutely IS the QB we're looking for! Pay that man his money!!! WHOOP!!!"

Just rotate him 5 degree to the right.

No problems.

That worked for my golf swing. Jk it did not

If there's a bad ass OT out there, move Baker inside for a year. Next year is the year. We're going big across the board, except for one position apparently.

Man….. There better be some better players hopping in the portal than a lotta the spares that are already there

You’ve reviewed all 4000?

I am just going to presume that every do not contact tag means they contacted our coaching staff weeks and/or months ago and are already on board until proven otherwise.

Bobby:

Michigan all-conference offensive lineman Andrew Sprague has entered the transfer portal.

Sprague entered with a no-contact tag.

Texas is expected to be a real player in this recruitment.

So, Sarkisian apparently went into Michigan's locker room before his post game press conference and told Sprague he had a spot at Texas.

Missouri and Texas the two teams to watch for Sprague, per Nakos

He is originally from Missouri. Hopefully he doesn’t want to place closer to home.

Woodyard doesn’t seem very interested in winning if he has Baylor, Florida State, and Kentucky on that list.

Is Baker big/strong enough to be a mauler at Guard? Thought he was real solid this year at RT.

I bet we're all going to be extremely surprised at who we get. If Sark takes his pissiness to the portal to help Arch, watch the tf out. And I'm not even a buy-in usually, but I truly believe he's not wasting this lay season for Arch, and maybe going forward for Lcey and absolutely Bell.

E.g. Calm the fuck down. It's day one.

Bro, he's not moving from RT. That's his natural spot and it would be fucking retarded to move him. If anything, try Nick Brooks.

He brought a volleyball with him and spiked it right in Biff's face and said give me all your good players.

Situation is fluid.

Some good info on Sprague's play this year (PFF).

Michigan starting offensive lineman Andrew Sprague to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

Michigan starting offensive lineman Andrew Sprague to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

Michigan starting offensive lineman Andrew Sprague to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

 Zach Shaw (Michigan 247)

Late Friday night, the Michigan football team saw another 2025 starter enter the NCAA Transfer portal, as right tackle Andrew Sprague was first reported by Matt Zenitz to be entering the portal.

  • Sprague, who was a redshirt freshman this fall, played 740 of the Wolverines' 867 offensive snaps this season, 736 of which came at right tackle. He started 12 games for the Wolverines, but did not play in Michigan's Citrus Bowl matchup against Texas.

The 6-foot-8, 315-pounder and former top-100 recruit finished 73rd out of 256 qualified FBS tackles in Pro Football Focus's pass-blocking grade, 95th in run-blocking grade and 72nd in overall grade. Of 53 freshman and redshirt freshman who played enough snaps, however, he was 10th in PFF's overall blocking grade.

He allowed just one sack on 346 pass-blocking snaps, though he did surrender 19 pressures, ranking him 129th in pass-blocking efficiency. With great size and reach, Michigan was optimistic that Sprague could become a multi-year starter and possibly a star for the Wolverines as an upperclassman.

Of course, a lot has changed with Michigan since Sprague's last game. Head coach Sherrone Moore, who recruited Sprague, was fired for cause. And this week, the Wolverines moved on from offensive line coach Grant Newsome as Kyle Whittingham puts his own staff in place.

Michigan is set to hire Jim Harding as its offensive line coach after 12 seasons in that role with Utah. Harding is an Ohio native who coached high school football in the state of Michigan before moving to the collegiate ranks.

"One of the country's top OL coaches. Has developed a nation's leading 12 first-team all-conference players since 2015 and likely to have two first-round picks in April," Matt Zenitz wrote.

Sprague, who was the No. 68 overall prospect in the 2024 247Sports Composite, hailed from the Kansas City area originally, and was not offered by Harding and Utah out of high school.

This past fall, he was one of three redshirt freshmen starting on the offensive line for the Wolverines, believed be a first for the maize and blue in the 21st century.

Be sure to check back with our Michigan Transfer Portal page for a running list of players who enter the portal in the next two weeks. The portal is officially open Jan. 2-15.

IT said things continue to go back and forth with Kibble and the portal. They thought earlier he was entering but now his side is back in talks with Texas on a potential return.

Seems like the Pitt LB is a higher priority for them.

Pitt LB is from Apopka, FL. He should also be a high priority for Texas, IMO.

Nahlin was the one pushing the Woodyard to Miami ignorance.
Fuck that dude for being a dick.

No, I'm using common sense. You want to move a player who hasn't played inside in his entire career because...transfer guy? Baker had a very above average grade for a first time starter. Brooks can move inside. It would be a Flood disaster to move a kid from his natural position to....not his natural position. Did you not see how shitty Brooks played after he took over from Stroh? Now imagine that with a guy who has done nothing but get better throughout the season.

This talk about him moving inside is stupid as fuck. They're not going to let that happen.

He was the (SIS) All SEC team as a tackle. He's not moving to guard. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wilfully ignorant. He's considered a top prospect for the 2026 NFL draft as a potential first rd pick, but sure, we should move him for a guy who transfers in. He played 873 snps, and was ra ked ahead of Goosby who had 847 snaps. His 873 snaps were the most of any offensive player, including the quarterback Arch Manning (840 snaps) and other position players.

This high volume of playing time indicates that Baker was a central and durable component of the Texas offensive line in the 2025 season. But sure, let's move him for a transfer, even though Baker did great this season. What the fuck? Sometimes this place makes me laugh as the absurdity and stupidity.
