Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Shit In One Hand, Hope In the Other, Tell Us Which One Fills Up Faster

Problem with Hawkins is Cooper. Reportedly Texas made a big investment in Cooper. Not sure they would put big money into a RB that would be a sophomore next year. That could tie up a lot of NIL money in one room. Just a thought, I could be wrong

You’re probably not wrong. I just hate to see the guy go to fucking OU and kill us.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hank_Fraley

Trent Fraley's dad, Hank, was undrafted and also played center and blocked for Donovan McNabb from 2001-2005. Those were some solid Eagles squads and the 2004 team made it to the Super Bowl and lost to the Patriots.

Trent Fraley has had an NFL future at C since birth. Texas needs to get Trent Fraley at any cost.

OU has really been good at developing their RB room the past few years for sure.

Ott had a lingering injury before joining OU. Dude had a 3.3 YPC 2024.

He’s a poor comparison to Hawkins.

ETA: the main reason I brought up OU is that Hawkins is from Oklahoma.

What? He turned in a solid 7.5 sack and 12 TFL season. He left and developed elsewhere, and now can take one more shot at a big pay day from a p4 team. This is a guy where the process actually worked out.

If he stays he's crushing it is what I meant. And likely getting paid the same or more.

Fraley is as close to a sure thing for the IOL in the portal as you are going to find.

The beautiful thing about watching someone subject themselves to the open market of a competitive workforce is that we're all going to find out their actual worth. If he gets $1M from someone, cool, hope it was all worth it for him torching his relationship with Texas on the way out. You can dispute that, but he'll be persona non grata to the alumni base and likely the

TBF, they pretty much know who both DB Cooper and Jack the Ripper are.

DB Cooper's identity is most prominentlyassumed to be Richard Floyd McCoy, Jr. His own family brought forth extremely strong evidence confirming it to be him.

Jack the Ripper, as of recent DNA that was just found this year from one of the victims (Catherine Eddowes' shawl) prominently points to Aaron Kosminski, a Polish-Jewish immigrant and barber, who was also a prime suspect at the time, as well. DNA just linked him to it.

spoiler alert. watching those documentaries. come on

No way he beats out Colin Simmons or Burke. He left once Simmons arrived and he was obviously recruited over. He wasnt going to develop here.

He's a case of a guy with talent who needed to develop but needed playing time for it to happen. Transferring was the best thing for him.

It was mentioned above that Texas may have made Wisner an offer of @$750k. I guess my question is, does that amount reflect his value in general for a rb of his performance level, or is it more his value to Texas, given he has been here, potential leader, etc, plus his general performance level?

I ask because, rightly or wrongly, that offer seems like more than I would have thought for strictly anticipatory performance

Are there any reliable sources that discuss the prevailing wisdom of what various categories of players are worth in the current marketplace?

If Texas has its pick, you take Koju Poku (all team name, btw) for RG as he has double the starts as the guy below and is arguably the same size.

This guy appears to be an OT? Does he have OG experience? Anyone actually watch Pitt games this season and can share where he played on the OL this past season? @PittsburghTiger do you happen to know?

I don’t remember him getting in at all this year. Unless it was just for a couple plays. He’s very big, 6’6”, 325, for a Guard. He was second/third on the depth chart at RG.

He’s from Florida.

Was waiting for the “I’m too cool to care about sports” post on a sports message board. You sound like a loser. I cried for 45 minutes when Aaliyah Chavez signed with OU instead of us. If you’re going to care about something, be all in. No one successful got there being half-assed.

This bit finally paid off. Bravo

So he would have played every snap at LG for us this year. Got it.

FCB portal/NFL update:

  • Goosby: "There are some big arrows pointing to Goosby returning to Texas next season, but Goosby is getting a lot of positive feedback about where he could be selected if he entered the 2026 NFL Draft." Gave it a 55% chance of him returning.

  • Endries: "Endries went to New York City for the Heisman Trophy presentation as an invited guest of Heisman winner Mendoza, and sources said the 6-foot-4, 240-pound Endries indicated then that he was done with college football and would be entering the NFL Draft.". Gave it an under 50% chance he returns.

  • Kanu: "There are arrows pointing toward a return in 2026." Gave it a 55% chance he returns.

  • Robertson: "sources close to the situation believe Robertson will return in 2026"

  • DL Emmanuel Oyebadejo (Jacksonville State) is a name to know in the portal. He shares an agent with Brandon Harris.

  • "There are two Power Four receivers who have yet to announce their intentions to enter the transfer portal who could surface as options for Texas with the Longhorns likely only taking one.

The most appealing of those two receivers, in my opinion, had a nice game against Texas in the 2024 season." (Sounds like TJ Moore)

  • "The Longhorns have at least two high-priority players on the current roster (not named Arch Manning or Colin Simmons) they really, really want to keep who are being pursued like crazy by other programs. The market cuts both ways."

  • "I was told by a couple of agents of players on the Texas roster when a high school recruit who gets a six-figure commitment from the Longhorns and then doesn't play significant snaps, those players will receive a reduced offer the following season. Experienced agents, such as those certified to represent NFL players, understand that and explain it to their clients. But as we heard from Sarkisian on Tuesday, Texas isn't always dealing with experienced agents."

Hopefully he has other redeeming qualities. I see he is from England.

Excuse you, sir? Are you throwing shade at John Bull? What did England ever do to you?

@closetojumping It's almost like the program can go into the shitter when a head coach that hands on and that involved with all aspects of the program keeps over-indulging in everything a major urban area has to offer and then has to spend a key block of time somewhere out of pocket to pull his shit back together on the health and female side of his life.

I’ve heard this mentioned numerous times but was there ever an original post with details about wth was going on?

Take it to the Nicole and BO&W and smarter then you thread

I assume this is directed at the 2 WR that saw little action this year.

Not just them. There's some expensive 2nd and 3rd string players that are more on the development conveyor belt but had to be paid like starters as recruits.

Theoretically, agent representation should instill some discipline and professionalism to a negotiation, but not when the agent's experience is wholly comprised by watching all eight seasons of Entourage.
