I followed JJ for a few holes, at the Houston Open this year. Nobody else following that group, he had lost TPC in a playoff a few weeks before, and didn't have fame factor.

He's going to get a lot more attention now.

Great win!

I tried to tell you amigo. 😂

Kudos to Spaun. That rain delay was what he needed. But he’s the only one who sacked up down the stretch. Well earned!

Burns should have stomped around like that in front of the rules officials if that’s accurate because his feet definitely weren’t splashing anything close to that.

I wasn’t rooting for Spaun at the start of the day, but really impressive to grit through that start and have the resolve to push through the conditions after the restart while everyone else wilted.

He played the inverse round to the other leaders.

Bob MacIntyre, who Rory put a dagger in him last year and came from behind to beat him in the clubhouse, similar to JJ today, birdies on the last two.  Last one was 60’+!  Props to JJ.  Bob lead in the clubhouse and everyone was leaking oil, so I thought he had won, until Spaun birdied the last two holes, thinking playoff tomorrow at worse, but no, props to JJ Spaun for just taking it!

Bob MacIntyre is a Scottish golfer that played at McNeese!  It’s amazing how even smaller schools find these players come to the US to participate in collegiate sports M/F, as I see it in other Spring sports.

Hook’em!!!

You'll come around on Bryson just like you came around on Spaun today. I believe in you.

I was very happy to see him miss the cut. There are so few courses that can punish the holes in his game because he can overpower almost any course.

2 rounds at Portrush and I won’t have to see him until next years masters.

Now I just need YouTube’s algorithm to stop trying to get me to watch him.

He'll always be a douche. He can't out run who he is.

Spaun was the best all week at handling Oakmont until his string of bogeys today. Dude was consistently in the fairway and firing at pins.  His drive on short 17 today was sick. No one deserved it more than him.

I wasn’t sure if you were going for the most tiger looking dude joke. Your posting history, while not deep in racial jokes, is a little bit on the farcical side. Other than posting about pipe.

I actually don't mind watching him on YouTube...it's fun watching a generic golfing freak overpower "normie" golf courses.

But I don't give the slightly of shits about watching him on Saturdays and Sundays.

And Spaun was by far the best putter all week. In case anyone was wondering about that weird-looking putter he was using, it was the DF3 putter by a company called L.A.B. Golf.

Spaun's always been a great putter. Made everything when he won at Valero a few years ago, using a SC prototype.

Gotcha. I heard before play started what they were looking for. The way Spaun played down the stretch today made me think, "This is the dude they were looking for." Watching the others fade and wither, the USGA got their man. All good.

I watched much of Spaun's match with Xander Schauffele in the Dell match play a couple years ago. Spaun wasn't playing well and seemed indifferent. It was great to see him win today!
