I think they beat South Carolina this weekend, they are the biggest train wreck in the conference compared to expectations. I also think they split their final two home games against Missouri or LSU. LSU's offense is pathethic and Missouri has really never been a team that goes on the road and wins a lot of SEC games. So, likely 7-5. Venables is fired, Arbuckle heads back to the G5, where he needs to figure out how to run the ball without a QB heavy scheme, and Mateer likely heads to another P4 team where is he underperform expectations.

I also don't see a coach worth a shit coming in and allowing Nagy to dictate personnel. Joe C needs to become the hatchet man before he leaves, because no new AD will want to deal with that type of dysfunction.

Not sure why you think they can beat Missouri. Missouri will control the time of possession and likely will bury mateer on his runs.

ou at least grasps the new nil landscape at a basic level, and they got both recent and historical success
but they don't have the MONEY for the new nil landscape, and that's gonna relegate them to mid major status ultimately
well first where do we find virgins

College Station. Duh.

Does any new hire, whenever it happens, have to accept Nagy as gm and recruit pool czar?  Or will he be one of the scapegoats?

Stephenson was CEO of AT&T and President of the Boy Scouts, so he’s the prince of darkness. The guy is a master of finger pointing and throwing subordinates under the bus. He’s tight with Nagy now, but once they burn Skeletor at the stake, they’ll be looking for another body.

I am torn on this one. With all the movement in the coaching ranks already, where would you put OU in the hierarchy as HC landing spots?

Would you rather go to UF or PSU or OU? It is not like you have a Sark or Lanning, or Kiffin hanging out in the coaching rehabilitation clinic as a known top level candidate. Would OU fire BV to hire a retred like Jimbo?

Well - there is a list of jobs that are very obviously better. Texas, tOSU, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, LSU. Maybe Oregon but their travel situation is kind of a mess. I would think Notre Dame is a better job.

Past that I would need to know more about NIL and what the environment is like. OU is probably in the 2nd tier with PSU, UF, FSU, Tennessee, Clemson (which you could argue is still 1st tier - hard to know with the mess Dabo has made post NIL). Miami is probably in there. I don't really know how to rate aggy as a job. I have no idea how to rate USC anymore and they have the same travel issues as Oregon.

It's a better job than anything in the B12 or anything else in the ACC. It's still a very good job but not a T1 job anymore.
