Pro-Palestinian Nutjob Shoots and Kills Two Israeli Diplomats in D.C.

Are you suggesting more stringent gun control or that we kill all Palestinians just in case they're nut-jobs?

I'd also accept adopting pre-crime, you know, if you think that's a viable solution.

No it does not. And there isn’t one there either. There, where there’ll overwhelmingly in favor of Free Palestine and anti-Israel.

Nobody posted a thread when an anti-having kids nutjob detonated a fucking car bomb next to an IVF clinic in California.

Not everything gets a thread.

But the important things do.

That's not really fair to the OP. I'm sure he was just about to post a thread about that

if I was a Palestinian dad whose kids were killed by the IDF destroying Gaza, I guarantee you I could do far better than just killing two diplomats at a museum.

Anything that happens to Israel that is less than a one-to-one death response should make them giddy with happiness.

Or when a 6 year old Palestinian child was stabbed 26 times and killed in Illinois by a psychotic Zionist, or when that Zionist freak fired 17 shots at a car carrying two Israeli tourists (he thought they were Palestinian because they had brown skin) in Florida, or the 3 Palestinian students shot in Vermont (one of whom is now paralyzed) for wearing keffiyahs and speaking Arabic on the street, or the guy who stabbed a Palestinian-American after a protest near UT in Austin for wearing a scarf that said "Free Palestine", etc etc.

I could go on but it's a bit exhausting at this point.

I really don't think you'd win this one if we're keeping score.

The notion that this isn’t newsworthy enough to merit its own thread is fucking retarded. This board is filled with morons.

No one ever said it wasn't news worthy enough to warrant a thread. The entire fucking OP was the implication that it wasn't a thread because...why exactly? What's the implication here? Surly is a liberal cesspool?

The irony of someone whining about politics in the NEWS board by making what I assume was a very political fucking statement in their OP on the current events board is rich...and myopic.

If I'm mistaken in that implication, by all means, please correct me? Because that's the only thing I can speculate after MULTIPLE posts asking if this was intended to be a discussion about Gun Control, Killing All Palestinians to Prevent Nutjob Palestinians From Killing Innocent Young People, or Pre-Crime.

Or was it just "It sucks that this happened?" Because it does suck, and that motherfucker should fry. But I don't get how "WHY ISN'T THIS A THREAD" adds to any of those discussion.

So please, enlighten us.

Shouldn’t y’all be in the driver’s seat of your leased F150, recording an inane selfie video about white genocide?

And to be clear: this was a despicable act, just as any politically motivated violence is.

But… good lord. Try having moral principles instead of selectively whining only when the victims come from your preferred race, ethnicity, religion, etc.

BUT IT'S NOT GETTING COVERED BY THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA YOU SHEEPLE!

And my favorite is when one of my boomer relatives who watches Fox News all day sends me a FoxNews.com article complaining about stuff not being covered by the MSM, and the byline on the article is from Reuters.

That’s in and of itself the funny part. Fox News is basically MSM now

Ok I'm not gonna lie, NPR is kinda wild for showcasing this, but they most likely don't know what this flag represents.

A man draped in the Israeli flag, bearing a cross and the name "Jesus" at its center, gestures as Metropolitan Police officers secure the area outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. Two Israeli embassy staffers were shot dead late Wednesday by a gunman who allegedly shouted "free Palestine."

According to some stuff flying around the internet, they were both “Messianic” so this photo would be pretty apropos.

Also point of order, all articles I see frame them as embassy staff. I haven’t seen confirmation that they were diplomats and they could have been attached in another capacity like local staff.

(Neither has any bearing on the hideous violence, but is more interesting than “when the thread started” discourse).

Wait... How does a Jewish person believe in Jesus as the son of God? Do they believe we're in the late stage book of Revelation or something?

Sure would explain a fair fuckin bit, goddamn

I haven't seen anything online (at least in MSM sources) about them being Messianics, other than that tweet, and I wouldn't take anything that account says at face value. I would honestly be very surprised if they are. Messianic Judaism is basically just evangelical Christians cosplaying as Jews in a very weirdly antisemitic way and a lot of people view it as a cult.

As opposed to the other book clubs which themselves evolved from cults.

Actually it just hit me. Religions are book clubs headed by men.

Seems pretty legit man.

Quote

Lischinsky, born in Germany to a Jewish father and Christian mother, moved to Israel at 16 and found a spiritual home in Melech Ha’Mlachim — “King of Kings” in English — a Messianic congregation near Jerusalem’s bustling Mahane Yehuda market. There, he translated sermons for English-speaking visitors and regularly stayed after services to talk about his future with Boskey, who led the youth group.

“We would talk about the future, our goals, what we wanted to do in life,” Boskey recalled. “He was very inquisitive, very bright, a deep thinker.”

Quote

Still, Lischinsky’s religious identity has stirred confusion in the wake of his death. Ronen Shoval, dean of the Argaman Institute in Jerusalem, where Lischinsky participated in a yearlong program, described him to The New York Times as “a devout Christian” who “tied his fate to the people of Israel.” Israel’s ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor, also referred to him as Christian in a tribute posted to social media.

But Boskey pushed back on that framing. He said that Lischinsky, like others in their congregation, saw himself as a Jew who believed Jesus was the Messiah — and that this belief did not negate his Jewish identity.

Professionally, Lischinsky worked at the Israeli Embassy in D.C. as a research assistant, where he was passionate about the Abraham Accords and interfaith dialogue. He held a master’s degree in diplomacy. He served in the Israel Defense Forces (mandatory under Israeli law). His LinkedIn bio called him “an ardent believer” in peace-building.

Two different groups at play: People with no Jewish background who inject cosplay Judaic rituals into their faith. And Jewish background people who graft Christian beliefs onto Jewish ritual.

The state of Israel will accept right of return for the latter based on lineage, although there is a lot of suspicion and have been court cases. For the former, they are not accepted as Jewish at all.

Dang, yeah I didn't see any mention of that in any of the stuff I linked but it does seem legit. I guess I understand why they would accept the latter, albeit grudgingly.

Statsman gets disgruntled if you don’t support Israel’s genocide of Gaza.   Here’s what I believe is a truth factoid: every parent of every nationality and race in every country will not be happy with the innocent death of their child due to some murder-y actions by somebody.  it is universal.  I would not call vengeance by Israeli parents of deceased children terrorism anymore that I would call vengeance by Palestinian parents of deceased children terrorism.   Is just one of the world‘s oldest primal emotions - vengeance.

Why someone can’t accept that fact, I cannot fathom.
