Cruz vs Beto

Cruz has absolutely nothing to attack Beto with. It’s pretty pathetic. I have seen tons of Beto signs in Lower Greenville in Dallas and all over inside the loop in Houston. What’s surprising is I have seen them very sporadically in my travels to Democratic strongholds in south Texas. I think Beto is going to be pretty moderate. I’m going to vote for him.

The Valley could potentially put Beto over the top but enough people opt to not vote.  Most of the larger counties in Texas had between 40-50% of the voting population vote in 2016.  Hildalgo County (McAllen) - 28%.

Yes Beto will win the southern counties but he won’t get many votes.

In all seriousness, this race is basically like life, which is formed in high school. One one side, there is the really smart nerd who is socially awkward and became a jack ass when he was getting bullied in middle school. In the other, the dumb privileged jock who's uber charming and never really had to work for much in life. Not shocking which one the Interwebs and M Streets love.

plano, although I do not know where (am not from or very familiar with the area)

Is that the Legacy West food hall? I’ve never been but kinda looks like that area.

That’s far north Plano. Almost Frisco. Very Republican area.

Thats an unbelievable turnout for Beto in that part of the Metroplex.

Just got an email from the Beto campaign looking for volunteers to host watch parties. They didn’t waste any time.

yeah i got that too - thinking about it, sitting here in my game room with my big tv where I just had people over to watch the UT - USC game.  It looks like they're talking about it as if you'll need to have a TV that can be hooked up to your laptop - I wonder what the deal is with that?  Surely the debates will be televised?  I'm going to e-mail for more info, but am curious if anyone else finds out.

Fox 26 Whats Your Point had some dumb bitch auditioning for Fox News with her Cruz talking points:

coastal elites

texas values

hillary clinton

far left progressive

national aspirations (LMAO, Ted ran for president halfway through his first term)

Male commentator dropped far left socialists, Nancy Pelosi, Hollywood liberal, Wendy Davis into his arguments.

Q: What do you call someone of European heritage from a Spanish speaking country who no longer speaks Spanish?

 A: A white dude.

right.  cruz is a Canadian born white hispanic of Cuban heritage who went to Second Baptist.  But to the dumbass Cruz namer argument, that makes him a hispanic just like Texas hispanics, and the only explanation for Beto's family adopting elements of tex-mex culture is that they want to confuse Mexicans into giving them power.  White people would never do that for any other reason, it's cultural appropriation.  Meanwhile Cruz is eating tacos with a fork.

That was a good quip to a dumb question, though.

That right there is where Cruz’ base will have a hard time not voting for him. They can hate him in every other way, they can hate Trump, they can become open to Beto’s appeal, but they will dig their heals in to keep those AR-15s.

Beto's position is to stop the sale of AR-15 type weapons but not confiscate them if you currently own one.  I do get your point though.

Cruz campaign has been pulling this shit for years.  Cruz, of course, would claim he has no knowledge and would get to the bottom of it asap.

EDIT - here's a story of his campaign doing this in 2016.

Saw 3 new Cruz signs on the drive down 29 to Llano today. One big one in front of the trailer park just west of Burnet, then a small one in front of some ramshackle old house with a front yard full of junk right before Inks lake, then a small one in front of the Lake Buchanan Baptist Church. Looks like someone stole the big Beto sign on the ranch gate just west of Burnet (probably the shitass kids from the run down Cruz house), but saw a few more, including one big one on the side of a law firm in Burnet.
