You know how this works. Not saying CDC went up to him and said it  but I’m sure Sark heard chatter

really?  CDC isn't going to talk about coordinator situations during the season.  give me a break.

When is the last time a new head coach has been hired in the NFL before the season ended?  I don't follow closely but has that ever happened?

Wouldn’t you want to know now than at the end of season or end of nfl season? Especially with portal and all the other job openings in cfb

Reconciling over a pregnancy when you are not the father makes no sense.

The implication is that he didn't know he wasn't the father until later.

I disagree somewhat with Nicole that he doesn't want to be at Texas.  I do agree that this is a massive distraction, under both scenarios and exacerbated whatever disconnect exists between Sarkisian and his offensive talent/coaches.

Throwing away the best job you’ll ever have in your life doesn’t make sense either but here we are. Addicts are very complex people.

Would be crazy to reverse a vasectomy mid failing marriage to have a kid.

I’m watching Kiffin stomp OU’s dicks in the ground. Not just keep it close until Niblett seals it, but totally outperforming OU in every facet.

Sark can resign tonight for all I care.

Kiffin has never beaten a ranked SEC team on the road

The real substance is that he and Loreal announced an amicable divorce and then some months later reconciled over the fact that she was pregnant.  That much is 100% public and factual.
The additional gloss is that Sark is not the father.  That seems to be at least semi-credible, but is not verified.
Some other gloss is the rumor that Loreal is not well-liked by the administration.

I was unaware of the reconciliation/baby shit until a few weeks back. The buddy who told me about it has heard the father is a former Longhorn player of Sark’s who is currently in the NFL.

Nicole nailed this. She and my wife both noticed he didn’t seem right and didn’t want to be here weeks ago.

Yep, and him constantly preaching that the “culture” was good plus Taaffe going above and beyond to validate it. Just weird. Hope he isn’t hitting the bottle again and this is a soft landing to avoid embarrassment. Horrible timing.

I’m not in on Freeman. I question if he can replicate what he’s done at ND at a new program. So I’d pass.

Theres no reason Texas shouldn’t have the same success as Ohio State over the last 25 years. It seems like tOSU is never down, yet we are more often than not. If Sark leaves, Texas brass needs to do a hard look at themselves and ask what they need to do—or not do—to get this next hire right.

From our perspective, of course, if this is where it's heading WE would want to know sooner than later.  My question is when has a new HC of an NFL team been announced before the end of the NFL season.  I just can't think of any but I also don't follow the NFL that closely.

Mack and Sally probably leaked this. Now that I could believe.

This makes more sense than anything else LOL.  Mack and Sally both probably legitimately think Mack's a candidate in their fucking fantasy world.

Franklin and Mack are two of the worst ideas in the history of the internet.
Kiffin is interesting.
Freeman is the way.  I don't know if he's gettable, but we need to be talking at 8 am on Monday.

Freeman has it easy. ND can lose 2 and even 3 games a year, no conference CC game and make the playoffs. Recruiting has picked up. Seriously, why would he come to this pressure-cooker?

I have a “Sark” source. Not to be confused with my BMD source who knew 24 hours before Herman was fired that it was going down the next day. I posted that here that night beating all the news organizations bc I had permission to post. At the time, we all knew it was going down just not when.

my Sark source knows a lot (mainly personal stuff but a few professional nuggets) but I been cagey about what I can post. It’s no secret I’ve been pissed as hell at Sark in Game threads during games. I let it be known. Let him fucking leave on his own. We don’t need to pay him to fuck off. His side of the ball sucks, let’s promote PK at this point and have him be HC and hire a really bad ass OC.

JMO. I know stuff I don’t have permission to post. It is no secret he’s not been dialed in this year from the offseason on. The Jets are that dumb of an organization to grab him. NY is a great place as is Miami for an “fashion” wanna be.  And he will absolutely grab Ewers somehow.  We shouldn’t pay him to leave.

Regardless, if he wants to leave….
giphy.gif.2abe313b76ddfc242f2dfd9428b49f9f.gif

I’ve heard some shit too and I ain’t posting it, lol. It just reinforces he ain’t cut out for this. I’ll always appreciate the playoffs appearances but much of it was in spite of him. I.E. Michigan fucking up Worthy, Cristobol leaving Oregon, PK, NIL, etc. But he had a lot to do with our success too. Timing sucks balls.

Mack Brown comes back and here comes shitshow.  UNC probably hired Belichick to force Mack to leave so he couldn't hang around being "head coach emeritus" fucking everything up.

This! It's insane he's been welcomed back.

I don't know, and I had the same questions, but I was reassured on the other thread that he's listening to other options, so now I am betting my future happiness on it.

The blinders and recency bias when it comes to possible replacements for Sark is incredible.

Checking box scores now... how about Indiana's OC? Or their QB coach?  Buffalo just got a safety vs. Akron, how does the Buffalo HC say no if we offer?

Not sure if you’re allowed to answer this question but in the case that Sark does leave which I’m fine with, do the BMDs have interest in Lane?

My BMD source wants to promote PK. Lane has never gotten over the hump as a HC but I can only speak for the one BMD that I know.

I wonder if the BMDs leaked this. They have lots of ears out there. We ain’t renegotiating shit with the pile of shit we have on offense on the field which is solely under sark both as OC and HC.

Loreal leaking this out through whomever her people are actually makes the most sense here.  Way too much smoke there.

Let's add some more facts to the divorce scenario.  They announced it last July. https://www.kxan.com/news/local/steve-sarkisian-wife-loreal-jointly-file-for-divorce/

The baby was born around April 2025.  https://longhornswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/2025/04/04/texas-hc-steve-sarkisian-welcomes-new-born-son-with-wife-loreal/82898381007/

So, that's an amazing 9 months. I suppose it's credible that they kept boning right up until the filing and after, but  . . . .

The reconciliation was reported in October, just a couple months later.
