This movie had a twist that I wasn't expecting. There were a lot of layers to peel off in this movie that make for interesting discussions.

LA Confidential

Wife jumped when Vincennes meets his demise.  Me: It's OK, I've seen it at least 10 times and it's still that way for me.

So many great lines, but one that applies so well to someone fucking up:  I wouldn't trade places with Edmund Exley right now for all the whiskey in Ireland.

The Roses

really enjoyed it, acting was phenomenal, which duh, look who it is.

i am a big fan of the 1989 one, this one was not as dark, much more lighthearted even though the sentiments in both were so relatable.

the sexual chemistry wasn't nearly as strong either, which duh, look who it is 😄 very funny though, in the dry, british fashion.

Spoiler

felt like these two were more best friends and never actually lost that affection, it just got overwhelmed, whereas Turner and Douglas were oozing contempt and disgust for each other by the middle act. especially Turner. like i said...relatable 😆

Watched the Biggest Loser and Poop Cruise "documentaries".

1.  Biggest Loser: The producers come off a complete assholes.  The exploitative nature of a show like that was apparent at time but damn.  The lack of after care plus the doctor who oversaw it were scary.  Huzienga is a real piece of work.

2.  Poop Cruise was exactly what I wanted it to be.  The three chicks came across as the vapid bitches that they probably are in real life.  I've been on a couple of cruises ( one of it Galveston on a Carnival boat) and knowing how the crew is worked to the bone bothers me.  I applaud that crew for surviving and holding it all together.  That situation could have gotten out of control.  Finding out at the end about Carnival's lack of liability was exasperating.  Those ticket clauses were mind-blowing.

Anybody seen Honey Don’t?

Seen scenes of Plaza and Qualley going at it. Intrigued me.

The Cohen involvement has me intrigued but it’s not getting great reviews.
