Which nominee should Trump make next?  You have 24 to choose from:

Ginsburg may retire, but I promise you...she will live to see 95, if not 100.  Breyer is the one you have to worry about.  He's several years younger than her, but he's not in the best of health.  He won't retire from the bench under shitshow Trump, but he could die before Trump's term is out.

The only name I recognized was Don Willett and he's a disaster. But I saw an Okie judge on there, so a pretty good chance he's even worse. Regardless, it will be whomever pisses the libcucktards off the most.

If he gets another pick before 2020 then that is confirmation that there truly is no God. And no doubt McConnell is already preparing his speech as to why the Senate needs to confirm the nominee and how this is different from Garland

Thanks to Reid’s dumbassery he doesn’t even need to prepare a speech. Hey, McConnell tried to warn him.

Hip would be worse, but the mortality statistics for ribs in elderly aren't good either.

Yeah but those old peeps don't have the quality of care members of our royalty - I mean, government - get.

I was unaware of those statistics, pretty shocking actually. My comment was mainly based on anecdotal evidence, as a broken hip did in my Nana.

RIP Nana.

2020 Senate map favors Dems. If Trump replaces RBG, SCOTUS will go to 11 in 2020 if Dems win the Presidency.  If Trump wins 2020, I seriously doubt the nation survives anyway.

That's a good precedent to set. Every time we swap the party in power let's just add justices. Can't wait to have 100 justices 30 years from now and have decisions take years to work through.

Which could have been avoided had Garland been confirmed. Surely, you don't expect the Dems to play nice after you didn't.

And theres no reason for any odd number of justices to take longer. Most of them will just vote.

Apparently she fell at the court yesterday and broke three ribs but finished out the day.

She went home and went to bed and still wasn’t feeling great this morning and then went to the hospital.

This is the third time she’s broken her ribs.

She’s going to outlive us all. That’s a tough bird.

Today is Kavanaugh’s official investiture. Trump will be speaking. I think she did it on purpose so she could get out of going.

I will admit, when the breaking news thingy came up and I heard the anchor say “Ruth Bader Ginsburg”, I literally yelled “BITCH YA BETTA NOT DIE!”.

She should retire. I want a 3rd Supreme Court Justice installed. Getting Amy Barrett confirmed to add to Gorsuch and Kavanaugh would be amazing.

The hearings would be incredible theatre.  You have to wonder what Schumer (Chuck, not Amy) and Feinstein will come up with, or will they just stick with "radical selection".  Also wonder if Manchin will again cross party lines.

PS: All of this assumes that Barret did not party with Squi while in high school.

I dont think she would ever retire.  It would have to be her death.  She has been fairly political for a supreme court justice with letting her personal opinions public.  She doesnt want Donald picking her replacement so she is probably saying to herself I have to make it 2 more yrs.

Link to personal opinions not having to do with her interpretations of the constitution?  Or are you alluding to her revealing her personal opinions the way Kav did during his questioning/confirmations hearings attacking a particular party?

McConnell claims, with a straight face, that Garland was an extremely unique situation that would most likely never occur again.  Below is McConnell's criteria:

  • Has to occur in an election year when the sitting President cannot run again
  • The Senate is controlled by a different party than the President
  • The President is black
  • It's 2016 (optional)

If those situations occur again, McConnell is on record saying that he would gladly repeat the same process.
