Tom Brady

A bunch of other guys way the fuck below him, and I’m a Cowboys fan.

maybe start with

Jim Brown

Jerry Rice

Lawrence Taylor

From Michael Smith / Pro Football Talk:

Brady has had 17 (healthy) seasons as a starter and been to the Super Bowl 9 times. The last 6 QBs inducted into the Hall of Fame (Warner, Favre, Stabler, Moon, Marino, Young) were starters for a combined 76 seasons and went to a total of 8 Super Bowls.

SB is a factor, with regard to ‘clutchicity’.

Brady’s whole body of work is a little bit supportive of him being the GOAT as well.  It’s not like he’s Larry Brown or Timmy Smith.

4. Barry Sanders

That's it.

#4 arguably wasn’t even the best RB of his era and you’re suggesting greatest ever?

Lolz.

Even Jim Brown says it was him, Earl and then however you want to list the rest.

The sad thing is that many of the greats, we have never seen play in real life, as in Terry Bradshaw or Joe Namath...

Much like Eli Manning, those guys were really only great during playoff runs. Pretty pedestrian the rest of the time.

edit: the 3 put on the board in the first quarter of LII was the first time they scored points at all in the first quarter of a superbowl under brady.

I’m not questioning its veracity.  just its relevance.

for example, I’d say the fact that he has won the game five times is a touch more relevant than his 1st quarter stats.  but that’s just me.

it's relevant as to why you keep montana up there with 4 rings and having destroyed people in the SB.
