Happens to me all the time now and I have no clue how I did it.  Bruises too.  I take a baby aspirin everyday and I'm told that makes it easier to bruise.

I bleed like a stuck pig with the slightest cut. I went from 1/2 to 1/4 and still find rando blood trails.

As someone who has always had nagging injuries due to sports and cycling, I hate that I'm at the age where I can't tell the difference between serious and trivial.  The other day I woke up with a pretty severe pain in my groin. I had not done anything active lately, so my first thought was Lance Armstrong and cancer.  Five days later, it's completely gone.  Nothing.  At 20, I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

Shit I will soon be 69 and I have pain all of the time in various areas and I just wait a few days and it goes away.

Fuck going to the doctor.

Had my first colonoscopy (and first time under any form of anesthesia) yesterday.  This getting old stuff sucks.

Good news is I did some blood test for it a couple months ago and failed it so was super freaked out. Turns out I don’t have the cancer but  there were a couple polyps they removed and I get to do it all again next year.  Yea!

Turns out everyone is right though, I am full of shit. Morning before I weighed 205, day of 195.

And it's always a 10mm socket.

Or if you're a real old, 1/2" socket.  When I buy a socket set, for me or others, I always get one each extra 10mm and 1/2" sockets.  They still disappear, but it takes twice as long to get to the point of having none.

I have a set in a molded case that has a spot for everything. No one touches it but me because I live with all girls. I never put it away unless if loaded back up correctly. Profit.

Readers started for me almost overnight at 41. I never wore glasses or contacts. Dr said my vision was still great just time for readers.
I’ve since started wearing bifocal contacts. It became highly annoying keeping up with glasses and if I was doing something outside they would constantly slide down my nose.

Do they have yoga comedy classes were everyone is so bad at it everyone laughs? That’s the yoga class I’d have to start with. Everything is tight, and that’s not always a good thing.

I do the p90x III version at home. No one sees.

Speaking of flexibility and joints, got an xray on my shoulder today because it ain’t been right for a long time. This is what they sent me in the results portal. I’m sure I’ll hear from the doc soon, but in the meantime any of you slappys know what this means?

Advanced degenerative changes of the glenohumeral joint with near complete loss of the joint space and bulky osteophyte formation. Asymmetric loss of posterior glenoid bone stock with at least mild glenoid retroversion and posterior decentering of the humeral head. Mild degenerative changes of the acromioclavicular joint. Maintained acromiohumeral interval on the scapular Y lateral view. Normal osseous mineralization. No suspicious osseous lesions. No acute fracture.

You know what causes that?  Yep, you guessed it - yoga.

The idea of my wife or daughters actually trying to use a set of socket wrenches for anything is both hilarious and frightening.

I hit enter to soon and then couldn't edit. So to finish my post.....

Ok, I'm asking this because I'm old and it happened. If you don't know what this condition is I suggest you don't look it up because it was unnerving, though I might have a future in vampire porn. But if you experienced it you know what it is. Has anyone ever experienced hematospermia? I looked it up on the internet and there could be 100 things that caused it but it's so unnerving I'm having trouble forgetting it. And I can't get into my regular doctor until after the New Year. I'm just hoping someone can say "yeah it happened to me and I got over it. No big deal".

I can't tell you what it is, but both of my shoulders now hurt after reading that.  I hope it's not too bad.

You're a bloody wanker is what it means.

ETA - I hope it's not serious and clears up on it's own.

I had that once after a minimally invasive procedure for enlarged prostrate. Creepy as fuck. That was a possible expected side effect and only happened once.

Isn't there a sex fetish that involves putting sticks down your dick? <hang on, google google google>      Ah, yes, the answer to your problem is you should stop Sounding.

One of the worst parts for me of getting old is I can't do more than 1 or 2 drinks anymore.  If I drink more than a token glass, it's like it ages me 10 years overnight. I feel sore, creaky, and well, old.

My adult boys are back for the holiday and enjoying a large quantity of beverages. I just can't do that game anymore.  40 year-old me would have enjoyed pulling out the old expensive scotch, dropping some odd-ball cocktail, or doing Jagermeister shots at 2AM, but those days are gone.

Enjoy the booze while you can.

I have found it harder to focus on things written on really small objects like coins and whatnot. Trying to read the date on a coin now requires plenty of light or using my phone to zoom in to see it.

Used the camera on my phone recently just to read small print.

Yeah, I had the same thing happen after a biopsy and it is very creepy. But it's never happened on it's own. I guess I need to tell my wife we need to bang a few more times to see if occurs again. Doctors orders of course.

Yup. Had it happen out of the blue 5-6 years ago. I had done a little bit of cycling, but not nearly as much as I had in the past. Freaked me the f out. I was really freaked out until I saw my urologist. No big deal at all. Just cycle a lot through the pipes. Like several times a day. Doctor’s orders. Cleared right up.

I can’t day drink unless I want to nap for 4 hours, I can’t eat a lot of food (quantity not types) unless I want to nap for 4 hours, and I can’t drink more than 2-3 glasses of wine or I’m done for the next day too.

Amen brother. I love a good whisky, and have a decent collection. But any alcohol at all now wrecks my sleep. And I do t sleep well anyway. I hate it.

45, generally good health (slightly overweight but ride my bike ~100mi/mo and other exercise) and heart-related tests have all been fine up to this point. And I rarely get sick.

However, I picked up some flu-like viral thing from my wife and kids (negative to COVID so far) that has manifested itself in the past couple of days and it’s kicking my ass. Exhausted, full body aches, bad headaches, little appetite, etc. I used to get these occasionally but they were never this bad. I blame it on age.

I’m on day four of this bullshit. Finally no fever this morning after no meds overnight. Hoping to be up by tomorrow.
