I’d love to see a reboot

It's been a tried a few times. Shane Black has supposedly been "working" on something since 2014.. Also got a TV show to the pilot stage but it fizzled.

I think a more faithful telling of The Destroyer series would work well in the post-Marvel world. Tragic creation of the hero, every conceivable form of martial arts, an ancient league of assassins, spiritual legend underpinnings, a smorgasbord of enemies (vampires, shapeshifters, cyborgs, Gods, androids). Remo was the Avatar of Shiva the Destroyer ffs. Tell it right, spend for the effects, and you've got a franchise.

Oh, and not to go all SJW, but after Joel Grey and Roddy McDowall as Master Chiun, maybe get a little more close to the actual character description/background.

RIP Earl. Also great in The Right Stuff, Swing Shift and The Player.

Loved him in Miami Blues which no one probably saw.

Saw it in the theater when it came out.  Terrific and underappreciated film.  Ward was good in it, and a very young Alec Baldwin was outstanding, plus Jennifer Jason Leigh gets nekkid.
