CDC Y U NO FIRE TOM HERMAN NOW

Recommended Posts

6-4.  Beat WVU and Kansas at home, win 1/3 against KSU ISU & OSU. My money is on ISU at home. Would this result get him fired? I'd say no given COVID and buyout. Hope I'm wrong.

If we can get Meyer, we’re firing Herman if he loses 1 more game. This isn’t “review at the end of the year”.

One more loss and he's done.  Here's the business case:

*4 year tenure

*1-4 vs ou

*1-3 vs tcu

*no conference titles

*only made conference title game once

The above is not acceptable at Texas regardless of the size of the mess you inherited.  Now, the caveat is, we have to wait until it is mathematically impossible for us to win the conference.  Same as when we had Saban on the line mid season with Mack.

During the game they were talking about this weird and dumb shit Tom was doing during the week to overcome ‘accountability issues’, which you shouldn’t be having in year 4.

Can someone e explain to me what Brewer contributes on the field?

That Baylor QB is a major contributor.  Oops, you were referring to our slow tight end that can’t catch.  Well apparently you’re not aware that catching the football is really really really hard.

This does nothing. They came back down 13 points to make it close. If anything this shows how utterly fucking incompetent Herman really is. A team that only practiced 2-3 days and half their team is out with COVID

Yes but against a team that had like three days of practices vs the 2 weeks UT had this narrow victory shouldn’t be something fans are happy with. Texas looked like crap and got lucky that Baylor was crappier.

Oh, I don't think anyone is making anything more out of the win than what it is.  But it was still a win, not a "win".

So there's no chance in hell we win any of those games and a 75% chance we lose all 3?

uhhh, we aren't beating all of them "and" not "or". the poster was saying there was a chance we could run the table.

We’re going to get demolished at OSU. WVU will come down to the wire. We’ll go 50/50 with KSU and ISU. I find it laughable that winning out was even mentioned. TH is beyond post without answers. This team has a higher chance of losing out than winning out.

Agree with most of this except I think KSU will push our shit completely in as well.  That is a tough team and far, far better coached than we are.

Look those were two terrible teams duking it out today at DKR. That game was irrelevant and should have no impact on the Fire Herman train.

Yea it wasn’t a positive day for tom

Baylor might be the second worst team in the conference this year after Kansas.  Plus, Aranda looks like an idiot at head coach- that’s a huge step down from Rhule.

This is a game a typical Mack Brown Texas team wins like 42-7 and plays the backups the entire 4th quarter.  The idea that hanging on to win against that shitty team that hasn’t even been able to practice somehow means Herman is about to save his job is laughable.

Only Mack usually blew shit teams out.  Now for the record fuck Mack just saying

Yeah. All of this. His only way allegedly to hang onto his job is if he wins the conference. I’m pretty sure I’d fire him, win or lose, but if he wants to win the last 7 games of the year after the OU loss I guess I will celebrate the accomplishment, buy a T-shirt- and wait for the firing next year.
but yeah- he ain’t winning the conference.

Where did you all get the notion that Texas needs to lose for Tom Herman to get fired? From where I sit, everything is already aligned.

Bad news for Tom.  OSU is probably the most talented team in the league and mullet is going to run up the score.

Man, screw this guy. How did this garbage Baylor team hold Texas under 30 and keep the game semi-close?

Congrats we won a game we were supposed to against a team that has only practiced 3 times in the past two weeks. If Matt Rhule was still their coach, we lose imo.

I don't like our chances with OSU, KSU, or IS. There will be quite a price for firing him, but it's exceeded by the price of not firing him.

I would not be shocked if Tom Herman wins all of those games out of spite.

Franklin would be a horrible hire. He's expensive, his offense doesn't fit the Big 12 at all, his Gameday management skills make Andy Reid look like a savant

BUMP. Penn State outgained Indiana 450-150 in total yardage tonight, and lost because of awful game management by Franklin - including the Penn State RB running into the endzone for a TD instead of taking a knee to win the game! PSU also had 100 yards' worth of penalties and three turnovers!

Didn't the commentators say Franklin wanted the RB to take a knee? Seems kinda odd to pin that on Franklin when it looked like the RB didn't actually intend on crossing the goal line, he just wasn't paying attention and did it anyways

Franklin would be a huge disappointment.   Plus he has his own questionable history with covering up player actions.

I still have CDC’s voicemail on my phone from when we all bombed his email after ISU last year. I’m willing to do the same shit again. Is this the time?? Lol.

If he were capable of winning out, then we wouldn't all be clamoring for his dismissal. Baylor is terrible. TCU is terrible. Tech is terrible. OU is terrible. He went 2-2 against those scrubs and it should have been 1-3. To paraphrase our future savior, you ain't sprinkling some fairy dust on this and fixing it. Losing to Baylor today would have moved up the timeline but let's get one thing straight: It's a matter of when and not if we are free of this coach. Again, the sooner it happens the better, but it's going to happen.

Herman winning out is prob the only thing to give any leverage negotiating with Urban.

Something like  “Hey Urbs, we got a pretty good little team here and the coach just won 6 games in a row, so it would be nice if you’d take the job. If not that’s cool too.”

Nope.  We lose next week at Okie State.  Checks are in the mail to the Big12 refs from the estate of Boone Pickens.
