  2. Acting like a fucking toddler. Afraid to go coach at a real program. What a loser. Suck that big Bevo dick ISU.

  4. Ewers had his freshman game. Defense sucked on a lot of third downs. Made stops when they absolutely had to. Fuck it, move on and play better next week. We still have Ewers and Bijan. I’m still jacking it to 49-0, and a close win over ISU won’t change that. Nice to be on the other side of this shit for a change.

  5. This is all accurate, but the flip side of that coin is that we are one injury from being 7-0. And that injury was an anomaly because we've kept Quinn almost completely clean otherwise. Hence, the O line is doing better than I think any of us expected. The Achilles heel is obviously the secondary. And there's no fixing it this year. It's got to be a blitz and pray defense, and I'm not sure why we keep dropping 7 or 8 guys into coverage when none of them can cover. Especially in that soft zone bullshit. But I don't agree that 7 wins is our ceiling. I'd say that's more like the floor. An optimisic person could say we're undefeated with Quinn and we can probably go 4-1 down the stretch for 9-3. Or maybe we split the 4-game gauntlet then win the finale for 8-4, then we go to a decent bowl game and probably win it. And if we go from 5 wins to 9 wins while bringing in a top 3 recruiting class, we ought to be feeling pretty damned good about how we're positioned for the next few years.

  8. the football board in-game is the biggest bundle of bitches, ever. Cannot stand this joint during the game. It's like being stuck in front of that dickhead at the stadium that bitches about something after every. fucking. play. Cunts.

  9. Buncha frikin non LHB nerds up in here! Bertha was bought from University of Chicago for $1 in the 50's and quickly became an icon of UT and LHB. Fun trivia about Bertha - she was probably under Chicago's stadium when they were first splitting the atom with CP-1, also under the stadium lol. This year marked Bertha's 100th birthday and retirement, because she had a load of miles on her (multiple presidential inauguration parades, rose parades, etc etc) and was a hundred year old drum lol. Bertha II has a much more robust build and is made from modern materials with travel and football games in mind, and will proudly count out our touchdowns for generations to come 🤘

  12. So we watched the game in Sugar Land with a bunch of my wife's friends who are all Astros fans last night and wife ends up getting pretty tipsy throughout the evening, see the ending and hang around a bit before heading back into town and stop at Sassafrass for a night cap. Listening to the post game show on 790 my wife decides she wants to call the station and give her boys a shout out. After about 15 mins on being on hold, in the parking lot at Sassafras, she finally gets on with MC and Gordy, and during the conversation ends up dropping a "Big Booty Yuli", says JP3 now has "BDE", with a emphasis on "you know what the D stands for!", gives Stanek a random shout out for his hair, and finally tries to make a reference between Kanye's "Golddigger" and the "18 years..." part and the 18 innings before they mercifully cut her off the radio. Hilarious coming from my wife. End up watching end of SD-LA game, finally made it home, had sex. Great day 5/5 stars, would recommend again.

  13. https://amp.foxsports.com/stories/college-football/texas-retires-famed-drum-big-bertha-on-100th-birthday-unveils-replacement I hadn’t seen this, my assumption is that there hasn’t been a lot of band discussion. 100 years is a pretty good run for a drum, Big Bertha II looks like a beast. Long may she reign.

  14. Here’s my entry. Pretty much followed the NEISD recipe but made a couple of tweaks (lard with the flour mixture, beef broth instead of water, etc). Also, I ran out of cheese so the top looks incomplete. The enchiladas were packed full tho. Suffice to say that next time I know it will take at least four bags of Colby jack. I made 2 batches. Think I may wake up tomorrow and throw an egg on top of one for breakfast.

  15. It’s always a bitch move when leaders try to clown those younger or beneath them. It’s not a good idea in business, sports, or anywhere. Herman clowning the mizzou QB, this ISU asshat talking shit to a player, Baker Mayfield trying to troll Ehlinger. It’s all pussy shit.

  16. People see a line like Team A -7 and they say things like, "Wow, Vegas really likes Team A in this one." No, they don't. Vegas does not think Team A is going to win by 7 points. Nor do they care. What they do care about is getting the same amount of money on both sides of the line. If they do, the losers pay the winners and Vegas keeps the juice -- risk free. If they don't, Vegas is exposed to potential loss, which is why lines move once the money starts rolling in. The only thing a line is predictive of is how Vegas thinks bettors will respond to it. Vegas does not predict games.

  17. I look at it like this. The season is over half over, our high was our play vs OU. Today or Tech was our low. That’s our spectrum. On any given Saturday, we are going to play somewhere in between those levels. Compare that to last year, where our high was our play in the loss to OU and our low was probably the 3+ TD loss to Iowa State. Last years team would have folded today, probably after ISU’s early surge. This year’s team found a way to win playing at or near the worst they have all year. Will we lose more games if we play like we did today against the next 4 opponents? Absolutely. But we also are capable of showing up and playing like we did against Bama and OU. We are drastically improved as a team this season, and this is a phase of growth that needs to be passed through to get back to being a national power.

  21. !!! Latest on 5-star TE Duce Robinson Blair Angulo Texas now has another date locked in with the dynamic two-sport star from Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle. “I’ll be at Texas for the TCU game on Nov. 12,” Robinson told 247Sports. Also, re: Oregon 😂 😂 😂 Coach Drew Mehringer is one of the best in the country, so I’m super excited to get up there next month.

  24. I honestly can’t believe this board. Texas just won and is definitely much improved over last season and there’s so much potential with Ewers and there are so many miserable fucks who want to focus on the negative parts of this season. The last 2 weeks have been incredible for Texas fans.

  31. Sunday morning confession: Still ecstatic over the big win but I have a lot of guilt to work through as well. I feel like a shitty fan because I had to work yesterday and was not able to watch the game at all but was checking in on gamecast and listening to the Ford/Sparks pbp when I could. I kept thinking about my old high school/UT friends watching the game and texting me and I was thinking about you guys in this thread. When it went to extras I started to think it wasn't our day, especially those times I'd steal a look at my phone and see mid12th/B14th/mid15th/ etc and assume we were about to get walked off. I was lucky enough to actually see the Pena HR but not the bottom half of the inning that followed until I saw the congratulatory hugs of Garcia on the mound. Holy fucking shit. EIGHTEEN GODDAMN SHUTOUT INNINGS?!?!?! Y'all must have been suffering some roller coaster emotions with every third out of every half inning. Playoff baseball just thumps the heart differently and when it goes to extras for that long, the prospect of being on the losing side of it makes the heart race a little faster. It's like watching a horror flick with a hand over your face, peeking through your fingers waiting for the inevitable to happen. I fuckin love this team and love you guys in this thread who've been here holding it down all year.

  32. It's funny that for a war of choice outside of its borders, in less than a year Russia has gone straight to things like drafting Grandaddy and dragging 50-year-old weapons out of stock, things you'd expect if they'd been invaded and the invaders were at the gates of Moscow.

  33. I know it's the consensus around here, but I just wanted to say how much I fucking love Roschon Johnson. His selflessness, his running/athletic ability, his fucking stick on the kickoff and his shit-talking pettiness are all top notch. If I were a jersey-wearer, I'd undoubtedly be sporting a #2
