Already seeing so many national articles on Arch. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect this to be the most followed recruitment in history, one where even casual sports fans know where he ends up. Short of a playoff run, there’s no quicker way for Sark to flip the perception of our program than by landing him.

My wife who gives zero shits about football asked me about a Manning kid that’s visiting Ut this summer and how he has 5 visits set up. I was Floored. She’s never asked me about the football team, much less a recruit.

I think this was the playcall when Ingram fumbled at TCU.

Definitely has strong Chris Simms recruitment vibes. Famous QB last name. Top national QB recruit. And all that...

IT

Spoiler

WR Anthony Evans, Judson (Converse, TX) - 2023:

At 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, the three-star Judson Rocket is just that; fast.

He currently holds seven offers including Arkansas, UH, and Louisiana Tech.

He hit Austin yesterday and felt like he made an impression on the UT staff.

“The coaching staff was very complementary and said how much they love me as a player,” said Evans. “I ran and they clocked me at 4.3 in the 40 so I was pumped about that, it was honestly such an amazing visit. Coach (Andre) Coleman said he would be in contact soon and let me know how it all went.”

Evans runs track as well, with a 22.12 200 this spring. He also long-jumped 21-3.5 and triple jumped 44-5.5 in 2021.

Texas will keep its eyes open for this kid.

ATH Bruce “Batman” Mitchell, Lone Star (Frisco, TX) - 2023:

If it’s on offense or defense, it doesn’t matter to Batman.

The 6-foot-1, 182-pound wide receiver/corner makes plays on both sides of the ball. He’ll play at Lone Star in Frisco this season after spending his freshman and sophomore seasons at Dallas Parish Episcopal.

“It was good,” said Mitchell, about his camp performance. “I performed really well. All the coaches I talked to said they would be in communication with me soon, which I am definitely looking forward too.”

Mitchell holds two offers - Liberty and Illinois State - but that’ll change over the next 12-24 months. He’s got some unique upside, especially in the defensive secondary.

He hopes to return to Austin soon.

LB Scott Koumado, Shadow Creek (Alvin, TX) - 2023:

At 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, the unranked junior-to-be passes the eye test. He was able to see UT on Thursday, and participate in the evening‘s camp.

“It was great,” said Koumado. “I competed a lot, showed out, and a lot of coaches were showing love to me. UT is amazing.”

It’ll be interesting to see where Koumado projects at the next level, whether it’s outside linebacker or safety. He certainly looks the part, just has to put it together. He has plenty of time.

I think this is Gerry saying Ketch’s time is running out, he’s been taking shots at him for months.

No complaints if an Ewers flip is imminent though.

It is. Rivals is antiquated and Orangebloods has been a big part of their relevance. However, Ketch has been hemorrhaging subscribers for awhile and that's going to continue when the new network Shannon Terry is creating comes online.

Yep Ketch is now moving his shows to youtube now... figured his Yakk thing isn't working out the way he thought it would.  But man, they have the laziest recruiting coverage compared to the rest of the market.  Their lead guy just calls kids homes/cell.. at least Nick Harris travels weekly to different camps and high schools.

Not saying your are wrong and Ketch is shitbird but how would you have knowledge of his subscriber base?

My read is Arch may commit somewhere sooner than later. IT has been hedging a little on the original prediction his recruitment would drag well into 2022. Could be motivated by a desire to secure his spot before any possible Ewers flip.
