On a different note, but one all too common for everyone I'm guessing.

2-3 calls a day, everyday from "American Pharmacist" trying to sell me Viagra.

At least "George" (yorzt) from 'american pharmacy' is a real person.

You don't need viagra, you need Yak roin.  Good to keep the yang up.

Here's my "Full Surly" response. As a professional I don't respond to many emails if:

1. You've sent the email to 8 people. Who is it directed to? Do I need to contact all 8 people and find out who needs to do what? No. That's on you.

2. You've cc'd me. CC means FYI to me. Read, understand, then trash it.

3. You are spaming me. I get hundreds of emails per day wanting "to sit down and meet and discuss your cleaning needs/insurance/website. Fuck off.

I'll clarify.

Supposedly professional people who don't respond to individual emails directly related to their position and responsibilities, from another professional directly involved and/or dependent on those responsibilities and timely attention is required.

There's this trend now on tech and consumer "journalism" where they title articles and videos plainly and literally.

e.g. "The Bose Sound Touch is a music system";  "The BMW i3 is a $40,000 electric vehicle"; "The shaggybevo is a website where retards post scatporn"

cmon...thats lazy as fuck

I much prefer that over, "You'll never believe the 5 simple things you can do to be a healthier you" or "The one thing in your house that could be killing you as we speak".  Literal media is leaps and bounds ahead of sensationalist, clickbait media.

That's buzzfeed spam - that's a step lower and not worthy of comparison.  These are supposed to be articles

and does anybody know why video games are now taking up more space than in the library of alexandria?

so i basically almost never play games, but wanted to dabble in a flightsim on PC..... 50 gigs.  Formula 1 on PC.... another 50 gigs.  X-Flight simulator... another 20-30 gigs or so.

I get that modern graphics are highly detailed and such, but 3 games and 1 operating system basically filling up an entire harddrive... what the fuck

I should have specified that my response wasn't directed at your post. You just reminded me of something that makes me surly.

It's part of the "because feelings" form of writing now.

Leaving a sticker of the brand of hat and/or the price tag on the hat while you wear it.  If you do this you look like an asshole.

Oh yeah, try buying a hat online that you think has the stickers, but it's actually FUCKING printed on the bill of the cap!

I assume you're still working at the same place you had been, MIA.  In that case, not surprising at all.  Having worked with the higher ups in the IT department there, you're lucky they have a working connection to your location, as well as workstations on something newer than Windows XP.

It think it's a response to the backlash of clickbait article titles. Yes, SPAM still uses the clickbait titles but it wasn't that long ago most media outlets were using them with regularity.
