Absolutely.  As SHS is continually discovered to be lying (perhaps inadvertently at times) it begs the question why any comment of hers should be taken as truth?

It would be funny if the press corp decided to just stop going to the briefings. What's the point anymore.

My sister in law rants and raves every time we visit with her about how great SHS is and how she stands up to "that media". I am 100% sure she still believes everything SHS says.

You're onto something there.  I've heard from a few conservative relatives that they enjoy seeing/hearing someone stand up to (fill-in-the-blank liberal group) that has pushed an agenda down our throats for years.   Many Americans feel that America doesn't look like them or think like them and that is a bad thing.  They are happy to hear someone stand up for their way of life.

A feeling of impotence is absolutely the driving force behind the Trump movement.

While I know many Trump supporters are not racist, many of the older, white Trump supporters have this attitude because of former racist policies.  America looked very different in 1960.  Some people were forced to live in certain areas of town.  Maybe not directly because of laws but policies.  Many people that wanted to immigrate to the US were denied that right because of immigration laws that forced immigration quotas based on current breakdown of citizens.  It was next to impossible for some people to come to America.   Schools were still fairly segregated, and yes, we all know the North is racist too.

Now all people have the same rights, and they will be vocal when it appears they are treated as second class.  Some Trump supporters like it when someone tells the aforementioned group to shut up.

It’s unbelievable.  Granted, Avenatti is fairly high profile and took this case after Trump was President so he knew it would be big publicity, but we are still left in a reality where some dude representing a porn star is 1,000,000 times more competent than everyone who has ever been associated with the legal team representing an alleged billionaire and President of the United States.

He may be the luckiest lawyer ever.  It’s like winning the powerball, twice, for Avenatti.

Plus he’s probably banging all stormy daniels’ pornstar friends

Just two great back-to-back statements.

But I gotta tell you guys, I THINK I've figured out Team Trump's strategy.........

....Give Mueller TOO MUCH evidence.  See, that way, there will be SO much evidence of criminal conduct, no jury or other finder of fact can sort out the EXACT crime committed.

That's my working hypothesis.  I'm willing to consider other takes, though.

Classic Three Stooges Syndrome. All of his crimes are in perfect balance.

Too much evidence is a great description for this fiasco.

A year ago, if you were to tell me the Russian government set up a secret meeting it Trump Tower with all the top Trump campaign officials on how they could work together to undermine the Hillary Clinton campaign, I would have said that’s the smoking gun that’s too good to be true.

but here we are.

Not only that, but he absolutely revels in fucking with Team Trump.  He seems very capable of walking a fine line between jeopardizing his client's case and old-fashioned trolling of POTUS.

Here we are indeed.  I think I've gotten to the point where I've realized that, at least day to day, this shit doesn't actually affect my life.  BUT it absolutely kills me knowing that we are actually living in a world where reality and truth have no objective meaning.  Even though I don't see it when I walk out the door, I know it is happening and people are doing nothing about it.  There is something wrong with that and it just makes my brain explode.

Honestly I think what's driving it, at least in (part of) my family's sake, is the socially conservative propaganda of FoxNews.

It's like the first Gulf War trained everyone to watch news on a 24 hour cycle, 9/11 reinforced it, and then it started being manipulated as mind control. I have family members that will have the god damn fucking cable news on at 2:30pm on a Saturday. Why? What the fuck is happening that is so important that you need to have your finger on the pulse of the world news on a beautiful Saturday afternoon? What makes it even worse is typically they're replaying the same hateful bullshit commentary that's been on a 30 minute loop since 9 in the morning.

I truly believe that a lot of these people go to church for an hour a week, and they watch Fox News 40 hours a week....and so they don't even realize what hateful un-Christian assholes they've turned into.

I think my Aunt has Fox News on 24/7.  Quite literally.

She will fly in for a visit and then, without asking, switch the TV to Fox News.  On several occasions I've had to (gently) scold her and say "hey, let's wait until after the game" or "hey, let's wait until <grandson's> 'Scooby-Doo' is over".  It's fucking infuriating.  She's 80, I'm not getting in a Battle Royale with her, but come on.

Life was much better when olds like my grandpa watched the Weather Channel all day long.

Maybe we need to launch, as a public service, easy-access free porn that appeals to old people.  Stuff they can look at on their Jitterbug and such.  Get em distracted by boobs, keeping them mostly harmless.

The trick is they aren't going to a traditional church. They attend some megagetrichquick or "cowboy" church that twists the bible into saying things they want to hear like "Obama, the great (black) liberal Satan that is coming for your guns" or  something, something, something Hillary. Because everybody knows Jesus hated Hillary and poor (black) people. Why Christ hisself would have built a wall 1000 ft high to keep the Mexicants out. Things along those lines. Good people.

Mueller can't wrap this up because every day Trump give him new things to investigate and strength his case.

Something easy to forget is Mueller’s investigation is much larger than Trump.

It’s been 70 days since an indictment has dropped.

We are currently in the biggest lull between indictments but there has been a shitload of investigation activity.

Gotta think something is coming soon out of the Special Councel’s Office.

Trump had no idea these people existed before they started showing up at the White House and laying hands on him. To him, the country really is more religious.

I agree that bigots who claim to be religious are far more vocal now.

The swastki originally symbolized peace or something like that IIRC

It wasn’t until Hitler came along and gave it the meaning it has today.

The swastki will probably never get that benign symbolism back.

I still see the original symbol around NE Asia frequently. It means good luck and hope I believe. The only problems come from western foreigners who think it is the Nazi symbol, which is a reverse of the original that they see here in Asia.  The original is on the right.

Native American symbol as well.

To Native American Indians, the swastika is a symbol of the sun, the four directions, and the four seasons.

It's almost like he used to driving a fine line...I kid but really, this is exciting to him.  He lives for living on the edge whether it's racing or tailgating a fat ass DOTUS in the press.

What I've gathered from this page is that it's once again safe to wear all of my swastika gear without derision or provocation from the public.  Finally.  I'm going to start tomorrow.  I anticipate compliments.  "Ah, nice swastika, sir, I find your support of Native Americans delightful."  "Excellent swastika, I'm inspired by your support of the Chinese and your lack of xenophobia.  Good on you."  Probably gonna be a good ice breaker with ladies as well.  There's no downside to this.

Leave a Koran on her night stand before her visit.   Then, when she asks, just say, "No biggie, it's just something I'm interested in..."

To me, it sounded a bit like Fox is thinking about turning on him.  This was put out there to test their viewership's responses.

It was like praising all the "great things, great programs" while calling out the president over his lying like he has a bad case of halitosis.   They can put up with the bad breath and keep supporting him because of his agenda.  But it would be easier if your breath didn't stink.
