It's going to get worse. The tech is such that if Fox doesn't do it, they know someone else will....so they do it. Since they aren't "news," they seem to think it's okay. I know other stations have gotten called out for lazy checking on sources and using old photos and misattributing, but actively editing video in such a way as this is crossing the line.

That’s the line?  Not 20+ years of propaganda that has warped the minds of millions?

back when she was writing white papers about how bad clinton's foreign policy was because he kept getting into overseas bombing campaigns with no narrowly tailored plans to achieve clear and definable end goals?  that condi?

Also, she's a former CFB playoff selection committee member who thinks the committee does a fantastic job and nothing about the playoff selection should be changed.  She fucking sucks.

The United States is way too sexist to vote for a woman President.  There are a lot of men who really couldn't handle it, and, unfortunately, a lot of older ladies who thinks that President of the United States is a man's job.  Disgusting all around.

As a middle-aged white,Hispanic, Irish man, I’m way,way,way ready for a woman President.  Warren was my choice but alas, it wasn’t meant to be.  The Dem machine wanted Biden and no one else, of course, he was/is the only one who could beat Trump.

Not that line, the line where regulation or disclaimers or I don't know what is enforced. I understand what you're saying, but it's that gray area that 'we' permitted, not just with the Fairness Doctrine being repealed but also with the transitions from tabloid papers being recognized as such to not recognizing 24 hour cable 'news' in a similar manner. Critical thinkers can and do note the differences, but the slippery slope of news vs infotainment, crossed with First Amendment rights combined with the former President's attack on the media as 'fake' with his intentional broad brush has spawned what are essentially Sasquatch sightings that are believable because the technology renders it such. Sasquatch doesn't fool too many, but when the editor applies it to reality situations, this is the cesspool we've landed in at the bottom of that slope.

It’s not just Fox News and their psycho Republican watchers, the corporate media controlled by the owners is mega pissed at Biden, first because of Afghanistan and now inflation. Hence the barrage of negative coverage on the so called MSM which influences independents.

I want to go and find the number of times there was a single party in both chambers of the leg and the president and see if any have been within 10 miles of being as worthless as this one.

Have you heard of this curious thing called the filibuster rule?

Those darn Republicans and those darn two Democrats.

What else can you expect since compromise with the opposition party will get you anything from primaried to stripped of your committee assignments to your number and address being leaked so a bunch of psychos can send you and your family death threats?  The only thing that matters to the minority party is making sure the majority party never gets a win.

Not saying that the Democrats don't obstruct either when Republicans are in charge, but the GOP operates on an entirely different level.

The days of Reagan working with Democrats and Clinton working with Republicans are long dead, which is why the filibuster should also be dead.

Wasn’t sure where else to put this, but all the CR talk about Trump being an authoritarian or fascist was always fear mongering. The administrative state was never there to carry out anything he could’ve wanted outside the usual Constitutional channels. As this man notes, authoritarianism far more likely to arise from the left and in some ways is already here. It wasn’t where the interviewer expected the question to go.

He's not stupid, he's posting disinformation.

On this particular matter, fascism typically doesn't coopt the existing administrative state. Fascists will do whatever works, but taking over existing institutions is usually a pain in the ass, so they typically sideline them and create their own parallel institutions. The SS is one example.

I guess the Chinese activist/artist who has actually experienced authoritarianism and the Cultural Revolution is stupid too for even suggesting it?

Disinformation?

Hitler purged plenty.

And Trump was never creating parallel institutions to take over anything.

No, he was actively undermining existing institutions.  Just because he's a stupid authoritarian wannabe doesn't mean he's not an authoritarian wannabe.  The most disturbing part is the percentage of Republican legislators and their constituents who are absolutely rooting for him to do so.

Yes he is.
You have to consolidate power before you can create your own. Which was the goal when his mob violently attempted to prevent the transition of power.

Each iteration keeps getting dumber. I am not saying that as an insult. He was a decent poster as GRHorn but then keeps coming back a little more deranged after each resurrection.

Cmon man, one of the resident socialists here equated 200k income with buying second homes. You’ve hit the big time if you hit that number.

In other news, a very curious appointment by the Biden administration to head the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Basically bank regulation. They essentially nominated a communist. Don’t believe me? Just read her writings.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saule_Omarova

https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3715735

Some of the proposals she highlights.

(1) Moving all commercial bank deposits from commercial banks to so-called FedAccounts at the Federal Reserve;

(2) Allowing the Fed, in “extreme and rare circumstances, when the Fed is unable to control inflation by raising interest rates,” to confiscate deposits from these FedAccounts in order to tighten monetary policy;

(3) Allowing the most Wall Street-conflicted regional Fed bank in the country, the New York Fed, when there are “rises in market value at rates suggestive of a bubble trend,” such as with technology stocks today, to “short these securities, thereby putting downward pressure on their prices”;

(4) Eliminate the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) that insures bank deposits;

(5) Consolidate all bank regulatory functions at the OCC

She’s very unlikely to be confirmed due to these opinions, but why on Earth would someone that essentially opposes financial autonomy and privacy be appointed to such a leadership role in our government? These are frankly dangerous positions to every American.

This communist is having a Senate Banking committee hearing today. I really can’t believe she’s gotten this far. A reminder of one of her most egregious positions.

A dangerous person.

Found some nice video of her espousing this nonsense.

No comment as to the relative merit of the concept, but is it your understanding that your bank accounts are essentially little piles of money that go untouched?  How (or why) would a bank pay you interest if that were the case?

I’m familiar with fractional reserve banking. The bank where you chose to deposit your money then lending it out is a different planet than everybody’s money has to be with the Fed and it can be confiscated.

You didn't read the article.  It specifically outlined two sub-accounts per individual/couple/household/whatever, one transactional, one reserve, the latter of which would receive a higher interest rate in a  situation in which the Fed wants to contract money supply by reducing the transactional deposits.

She is not proposing that the government take your money.
