Depends on what you poison the person with.

In the case of Jonestown, cyanide.  First few symptoms are vomiting/nausea/headache, but then the heart issue starts and pulmonary edema sets in, the bodily instinct is to bend over and suck air like you would after a sprint while holding your breath.

In most instances-due to body mass, the parents of the 300 children at Jonestown first watched their children bend over, fall, choke out, and cardiac arrest to death while their symptoms were still in their early stages.  Must have been something to see while you're dying too.

But they were all so sure that despite his many flaws, Jim Jones was sent by God himself to save them.  Sound familiar?

Good to know, I've never worked with cyanide, so never bothered learning about it.

Well, despite my given name, it's not like I've "worked with cyanide" either, asshat!  I learned about it researching the holocaust.  The hydrogen form is what you're thinking of when you think of Zyklon-B.  Like most chemical weapons throughout history, a grossly unintended consequence of an otherwise fruitful discovery by a Swedish chemist.

Some stuff, you just can't shove back into Pandora's Box.  And yes, South Austin's mom's name is Pandora.

have no rep left to give, but that's magnificent.  Don't wanna know how you found it though.

"Tell you what Clark, I dunno why they call this stuff Placenta Helper...it does just fine by itself."    Now let's go find your sister.

Famous un-aired SNL skit.  Censors got it.

Ha ha, I trolled my current girlfriend by telling her my ex wife and I saved and ate her complete placenta with various recipes including Placenta Helper. (To make my claim more mainstream.)

She freaked the fuck out and was about to break up with me.

For a moment, I thought you were telling us that you told your current girlfriend that your ex and you ate your current girlfriend's placenta.

Tiger droppings (LSU board) thread about a poster’s wife dying of Covid. The husband is apparently unvaxxed. Who knows about his wife. https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/politics/mrs-m-is-in-lane-hospital-struggling-with-double-covid-pneumonia/100628019/

the husband is asking for medical help even though the wife is in the hospital. Leads to pages and pages of questionable care. The advice from doctors on the thread are ignored.  Sad.

the worst advice is telling him to print out certain webpages to show the docs to change up her treatment.

good lord...i just skipped to the last few pages of the tigerdroppings thread...

some guy trying to be reasonable:

"Because I think the Clinical Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Harvard University writing in a journal put out by Oxford University can be trusted.

Will he ever be wrong? Of course. Nick Saban and Bill Belicheck don't win EVERY game. But I'd rather trust Saban/Belicheck over some internet poster or internet blogger about football questions and strategy and I'll take the word of the Clinical Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Harvard University over some internet poster or internet blogger when it comes to Covid related issues."

18 'down' to 4 'up' votes 😳 they refer to actual doctors as 'covidians' throughout the thread.

insanity. i can't believe we are voluntarily going to join that conference of neanderthals.

Their world is simple: the more credentials, expertise, and experience a person has…stands as increasingly greater proof that the person is in on the great global conspiracy to control us all.

Getting advice on how to fly a plane in a particularly dangerous situation? Sure, you could listen to someone who flew 4 different types of aircraft in a military career, and then 4 more in a 15 year commercial career….but really, all of those affiliations and experience are proof that he’s part of the “Deep Pilot” conspiracy to control how we fly. Instead, listen to someone who isn’t tainted by all of those affiliations and experiences, and who has 100 hours of “training” on Microsoft Flight Simulator. Because that guy isn’t tainted and doesn’t have an evil agenda.

This is how they think. Credentials and experience not only fail to count, they count AGAINST the person taking that position.

this is precisely correct.  Take my proctologist for example.  I didn't want my previous one, some fancy-ass UT Southwestern graduate with residency at the best hospitals.  No, I chose a real "outsider" for my last colonoscopy.  A Frisco Chiropractor who'd just recently got their real estate license.

Printing out a bunch of webpages from Surly football threads, running up to Tom Herman and shoving them in his face and screaming "LOOK TOM, DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT THEY ARE TELLING YOU, YOU NEED TO READ THESE PAGES FROM THE INTERNET!" does nothing but get you a restraining order.

Why do these superhumans keep going to the hospital in the first place? Stay home, stream joe rogan podcasts, and own some libs on twitter. You'll be better in no time.

This was my favorite response (screenshot below) to that post which does raise the question on a football board devoted to LSU athletics; would the title of Director of Performance Innovation for the sport of Football in the Athletics Department at Louisiana State Football qualify similarly? Because we could do this all day for this keyboard genius.

That kind of personal detail doesn't seem germane to the story they're reporting. And now I can't unsee it. She looks like she had a gunt. Blech.

99% of the people who are dying of covid these days have refused to get a vaccination. Draw your own conclusions.

I guess you haven’t looked at the Big 12’s academics in a while. Other than Texas, it’s a bit downsy

That’s fine. The world needs people to eat paste too. Our conference mates are just dumb. That’s curable.  Thats the whole point of education.  In the SEC it’s intentional.  There is no path out of that.

We're joining a conference that considers aggy a cultural fit and one of its most respected universities.
