How shitty would your school have to be in order to have a coach bail for far worse weather, tougher recruiting and a long history of sanctioned sexual abuse?

Maybe he likes sanctioned sexual abuse.

 Texas A&M Aggies

We’d have extended Franklin for 15 years and $200 million if he made a conference championship game here. It’s just a matter of time before we massively overpay Elko.

or

We take a lesson from past mistakes and refuse to overpay Elko, so someone else swoops in and steals him.

Either way, we’re fucked.

Seems like Art Briles is rested and ready to get the band back together.

Oh god please let them finish with 9-10 wins and start really talking statue before he bolts for some other program that they think isn't as good a job.

would be peak hilarity if he bailed on them. Finally got a guy they think is the next coming of Bear I guess...they've been much better than I thought. But I still see 2 losses before us, at least.

Come on, now. Art only looked the other way while adults were being raped. And the rhythmic slapping was kept off campus. Totally different.

The better A&M does the more Penn State will be looking to provide Elko a way out of College Station

Agreed.  and they'll call him every name under the sun on his way out.  They just don't get what they are. Still...to this day.

For a statue,  somebody's gonna have to go back and get a shit-load of bronze.

Moss and Concepcion got banged up in their Florida game.  Any update? Losing either could be pretty big.

Especially since Reed is still not a good QB.  He's far to inconsistent and they think he's great.

Elko had to the super deep "it is what it is" answer at his presser so we can assume both hurt and hurt bad.

Other than Samford I think the rest of their games are toss ups or beat down (Mizz, LSU and Sark are going to put the beat down on this below average team).

Like I said before aggy isn't ready to play big boy football and going up against good teams week after week is going to be one hell of a shock to this soft ass team.

Buddha statues are everywhere. Slap an Aggie hat and a 5-XL ol Sarge shirt on one and there you go…

Question is: will they need a scoreboard for the statue to keep up with their games? Whoop!

aggy is a product of their ridicously unchallenging front half schedule where they played 5 home games. ND's retarded schedule of @Miami, OFF, aggy also set them up for defeat in that game.

Posted (edited)

They have done well in their first 6 games, and I'll give credit for the ND win, even though they have a new QB and lost two good OL, and D starters, but a win is a win, and they did return Jeremiah Love, Greathouse, and Faison. Do I think they're good. Absolutely. Do I believe they're going to the playoffs? No. Nor the CCG. They're fool's gold, imo. It's roller-coaster season. They just aren't because history doesn't lie. They'll drop at least 2 before getting to us. LSU (it's going to be close because Nuss is average, but so is Reed).

LSU D is pretty stout, as they rank #14 in run stopping D, at a 2.9 clip. Rueben Owens is somewhere laughing at that 0.1 drop, and they lead the league in PBU's, so we'll see how they fare against Concepcion/Craver. He's a dude (Concepcion). Craver is pretty good, but not as talented. Their scoring defense is ranked 5th in the country at 11.8 PPG, but 21st in overall defense.

Aggies are 7th in pass D, and and 19tn in run D. Overall, they're 20th in defense, while LSU is ranked 21st in overall defense. After looking deeper, as the conference games just began, they rank fouth in pass protection, and 6th in pass plays over 20 yards.

The difference in the game for LSU will be if Nuss can just be above average, and if Durham, who is averaging 4.2 ypc, but 4.4 against top 25 teams, is playing they're in good shape (even though he only has 286 yards). He was limited against their scrub game for an injury, but came back strong against USCe. Their leasing WR is A-aron Anderson, but Barion Brown, when he decides not to have brick hands, is better, but Nic Anderson the real threat. Nuss has only thrown 9 TD's, and has 5 INT's. To say he's inconsistent would be an understatement.

The difference for aggy will be Concepcion/Craver if they're not blanketed, and Moss, who is a stud at the college level with a 5.6 ypc,and 6 ypc in conference, but only 386 yards for the season (don't let that fool you). It'll be an interesting game, which I will watch, and I hate watching them play. Reed has thrown 10 TD's to 4 INT's, so they're both average.

This will either be a UGA/Auburn rock fight (hopefully without the blatant cheating refs or the print the cups game), or it will be a back and forth scoring from either their FG kickers or playmakers.

Pretty much.  If  Auburn has Nuss they probably lose to them.  If LSU can do anything similar they should beat them.

What's funny about Elko "understanding what it takes" is that he's won 1 conference championship in 16 years as a FBS coach. That was a MAC championship in 2013.

Did someone say Mack?

I saw their OL push thru FL Florida DT that cornholed the shit out of us so I'm not gonna believe they're not pretty good.

Their own 3rd down defense is very good and Elko pretty much said end of last season that he would turn that around.

Should make for a very entertaining Thanksgiving

Lol more like 5.  Poor aggy is about to learn what actual big boy football is like.  You can't play powerhouses like UTSA and Utah State all year.  They drop:

Missouri
LSU
Texas

and 2 of:

SC
UF
Pig

and win:

Samford

aggy and fat elko are in for a bit of a rude awakening.

They get a bye before Mizzou, and as we saw they beat UF, but in no fucking way are they losing to Arky. Not a chance. USCe? Maybe, but doubtful unless Seller goes nuclear. Sellers has only thrown 4 TD's all season to go witg 2 INT's. He's not even their leasing rusher. That would be Rahsul Faison (admittedly, I've never heard of him), who has 3 TD's with 286 yards and 4.3 ypc. Their defense is 11th in the SEC, and are allowing 323 yards per game, but somehow are ranked 21st in ESPN S&P for defense.

I'll believe it when I see it, and again, I will cry tears of joy and shit out a golden retriever who can talk if they lose that game. Dylan Stewart and Nyck Harbor HAS to dominate, as he's their second leading WR with 1 TD and a total of 256 yards with  13 catches, BUT is averaging 20 ypc; their leading WR, Vandervius Jacobs (great name, Btw) has 20 rec for 341 yards and 2 TDs, with 17 ypc. Their RB, Raahul Faison, as already mentioned above, is someone probably none of us has heard of, was a 2* prospect, 4* transfer, and he's a JAG.

Aggy should aggy up a game they shouldn't, and every remaining game they have is on the road, and then they go to get their asses beaten and fucked up by Wisner AGAIN in Austin, and we should hopefully have at least another RB who can do something, anything (Baxter...maybe?, Gibson, Clark, Simon, whomever), but they will have faced only 2 QB's who have more than 10 passing TDs with Arch Manning 12 (5 IT's), and Mizzou QB Beau Pribula with 11 (5 INT's).

They very well could end up losing to Mizzou at home and LSU at home since both have a pulse (at least defensively for LSU), and then by the last game could be beaten the fuck up.

They could use Mangino for the mold since Elko will be busy interviewing in State College.
