Also of note, there's going to be a lot of really pissed off victims who are going to be doing a lot more interviews, not to mention more documents and emails coming out.  The Trump administration does not understand the Barbara Streisand effect.

Poor Venezuela, we hardly knew ya.

Ok that last line made me chuckle.

I wish I was being funny, but the House committee said they are going to continue looking into the Epstein stuff, so there's going to have to be some distractions.

I'd appreciate any commentary from conservatives regarding these "answers" and  behavior from Kash Patel.

Is this acceptable? Are you ok with this from the FBI Director?

I mean, of course its acceptable. They are already willing to ignore Trump's proclivity for having sex with minors, so why would the Director of the FBI covering for him matter?

What is the point of the House hearing with Patel? Just more political theater? Congress isn’t going to do shit, just like they aren’t going to do shit to RFK Jr.

If anything, it plants reminder seeds into some of the MAGAs still focused on Epstein after Charlie Kirk.  And apparently a lot of those MAGAs are turning on Patel.

Public oversight. It’s one of Congress’s jobs they haven’t willfully given up.  You may be dismissive but there is value in having the director of the FBI answer questions under oath and on tv

Yep, he spent years helping to wind these people up, and they get excited that he’s given the FBI, only to have him tell them that there’s nothing there.  It’s not going over very well.  They wanted Hollywood elites nailed to the wall.

And there are probably some who, if/when shit hits the fan, want to be able to say that they were asking questions and that they weren’t part of the cover-up.

Yeah about that...

https://www.nbcnews.com/world/united-kingdom/email-calling-epstein-supreme-friend-adds-new-fuel-royal-scandal-rcna232705

Just days after Trump, the royals and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer largely skirted questions about Jeffrey Epstein that had threatened to complicate the sunny spectacle of his trip, the British press offered new revelations.

A newly surfaced email revealed that Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, described Epstein, the disgraced financier, as a “supreme friend” despite his conviction for sex offenses.

The email was published in two newspapers Sunday. It was sent by the duchess — the former wife of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York — in 2011, just weeks after she had publicly distanced herself from Epstein.

Newsweek: Donald Trump Says He’ll Speak to DOJ About Ghislaine Maxwell Pardon

President Donald Trump said Monday that he would need to "speak to the DOJ [Department of Justice]" when asked about a potential pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking in connection with Jeffrey Epstein.

Speaking during an Oval Office event focused on approving a new mining road in Alaska, Trump told reporters he hadn't "heard the name in so long" and would "take a look at it."

The exchange with CNN's Kaitlan Collins came after the Supreme Court rejected Maxwell's appeal to overturn her conviction earlier on Monday. When Collins pressed Trump on Maxwell's sex trafficking conviction, the president reiterated: "I'll have to take a look at it."

Mike was probably real nervous there for a second before he heard "protector."

Shit is going to come out.  The birthday card was the tip of the iceberg.  Musk wouldn’t have talked shit about him being in there if he hadn’t seen or heard something, not to mention it went from Bondi saying she had the list on her desk to saying there never was a list and Trump playing dumb.  Something spooked Trump Bigly.

There is a pretty rabid group that overlaps with the right and are obsessed with the Epstein stuff and child trafficking and they care more about that and conspiracy theories than any party politics.  Even if they are small, they are vocal, and they give no fucks if any Republicans go down as long as they expose Hollyweird and Clinton and Prince Andrew or whatever else is their obsession.

I don’t have a timeline handy, but it feels like Trump has been ramping shit up to distract people, whether it was Venezuelan or the ICE/National Guard stuff.  Recently bias, maybe, but Trump knows how to distract his base.

Ask any MAGA types in your life if they support releasing the Epstein files.  You’ll get some interesting responses.

I don’t have an ounce of hope that any of this will amount to anything.

Maybe, maybe not, but if they didn’t involve Trump or potentially any other Republicans, they would have already been released months ago and Bill Clinton and Bill Gates and others would have been dragged in front of Congress and/or Trump would have tried to have Bondi go after them.

With that said, the fact that it’s still a thing in the House does indicate that not all of the Republicans are willing to cover for Epstein. I’m still amazed that Johnson didn’t make it go away.

Marjorie Taylor Greene on the Epstein files: "I can't conclusively say if that's why the House isn't in session, but the House should be in session ... there is a new Democrat that's been elected that does deserve to be sworn in ... if it's to avoid the discharge petition, why drag this out? That is going to have 218 signatures."

I assume MTG isn't afraid of the files, because nobody wants to have sex with a Neanderthal, child or adult.

you know MTG was raped as a child.  I bet she was cute until about 20 when the gnomism and dry pussy disorder hit her.   I bet her vagina smells like a basement.

The Independent: Epstein claimed that Donald Trump ‘knew about the girls’ in private emails

In one email to Wolff dated January 31, 2019, Epstein apparently wrote: “Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever...of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop.”

In another email from April 2011, Epstein claimed to Maxwell that Trump had “spent hours” with a victim, whose name is redacted.

“i want you to realise that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump...[VICTIM] spent hours at my hours with him...he has never once been mentioned,” Epstein told Maxwell, according to the emails.

Wolff apparently wrote to Epstein on December, 15, 2015 — the night of a debate in the Republican presidential primary – where the author told the disgraced financier that CNN was “planning to ask Trump tonight about his relationship with you – either on air or in scrum afterwards.”

Epstein replied: “If we were able to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?”

“I think you should let him hang himself,” Wolff replied to Epstein, according to the email. “If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency.”

“You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt,” Wolff apparently continued. “Of course, it is possible that, when asked, he’ll say Jeffrey is a great guy and has gotten a raw deal and is a victim of political correctness, which is to be outlawed in a Trump regime.”

While it's not salacious, the most important part of this story is actually Epstein's financial dealings. Pedophile island was an MO, but the financial shit is probably how and why someone powerful was so motivated to take him out they were able to get to him while he was in federal custody and all of these things just magically lined up so that there's no video, and the guy who made a podcasting career out of revealing the truth even after being installed as FBI director is suddenly terrified to reveal the truth.
