Falling off a cliff here in the 3rd again

How predictable was it that we'd get shut out in the third again? Quinn finding new ways not to score.

Quinn is the reason we’re in the game AND the reason aggy is in the game. Tough feat to pull off.

No, he's more so the reason this is still a game.

It should have been over in the 3Q.

This underscores how fucking hard it is to be a QB. Quinn’s played at such a high level tonight but two singular plays have the chance to overshadow all of it. And both of those mistakes rest squarely on his shoulders.

I really want to see him pull through here. As much for him as for us.

I’m more in the Arch camp than the Quinn camp, but that’s unfair. He was absolutely nails up until the pick. You have to give him credit for the good.

Quinn is a great kid and easy to root for and was a big part of the reason we won the big 12. But he makes a lot of mistakes and wisner, the d and the OL are why we’re in this

Wide open and wasn't even close. Another drive where the RB does all the work, the second you need Quinn, disaster happens.

In that situation it sure looked like Bond missed a check to a different route. Had Bond run a stick that’s an easy first down.

I’m not even mad at him anymore. He is what he is at this point. Really talented but stupid fucking player.

I’m embarrassed for him.  Wisner has 30 carries.  Sark no longer trusts Quinn apparently.

in other news, dipshit beck threw for three touchdowns last night. No picks

Quinn needed something in this 2nd half that redeemed those errors but it doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen.

In many ways this was a classic Quinn performance. There were some scintillating plays early, and then he seemed to do everything he could possibly do to keep the other team in it in the 2nd half.

He remains a guy that we can win any game with, but it sure doesn’t look like he’ll ever be THE reason for our success.

Texas has a Quinn Ewers problem.  It's that simple.

It sucks to have to write that, but he continues to make huge mistakes which turn points and momentum to the opponent.

We know what the solution is..... but Sark will enable him and this team won't reach its potential.

His pick six and fumble inside the red zones almost cost us the game. Quinn’s performance is not our standard. Does he even know the words to The Eyes of Texas? He’s just moving his mouth like he doesn’t know the words. I’ve never been so disgusted by a Texas QB in such a huge victory. But I’ll take the win, pussy.

Two terrible plays that would have cost most teams the game. But most teams don’t have our D.

That said, even though I continue to think Quinn is a liability, I’m not going to  take away his first half performance. That crowd was out for blood and he never seemed phased by it.

A deeply inconsistent and flawed performance by a deeply inconsistent and flawed player.

2 bad plays all game from 3 kept this from being over in 3 quarters. But he did enough, and those back to back long drives around the pick 6 gassed their defense, who had all the rest of a kickoff in between.

Did cost the team a shutout though.   But our defense and their offense know what happened when they were on the field.

Quinn was balling in this game. He started to have trouble with the added pressure. The receivers weren't really on the same page as him at key points, but he was dealing for most of the game.

Good game overall #3.

Sit him next week. Say it’s to let him heal. It doesn’t really matter since we are in playoffs. It would be nice to have a bye but second-half Ewers doesn’t stand a chance against UGA. And if Arch beats Georgia, maybe you roll with him moving forward. Go ahead and neg me if you must but Ewers has a busted wheel.

You don’t get to just hand waive away two back breaking turnovers inside the red zone. Especially when one of them went to the house. You don’t. That was not a good game.

Period.

You know we haven’t won’t the conference championship yet, right? I know you and Quinn are BFF’s because you have money to light on fire, but that doesn’t mean we get to crown ourselves.

I think it is important to point out that he made a lot of really good plays and I’m pretty sure that most, if not all, of the miscommunications with the receivers were them running the wrong routes. It’s just those two huge mistakes at the wrong place and time.

I don't doubt his heart or his guile.  Dude plays hard and he's not a scrub, let's not hate on him.  But, Texas is at the elite level of CFB and to win a playoff style tourney, you need your QB to play nails.  He simply hasn't shown he can play 4 quarters in a game against an upper echelon opponent in forever.  Even tonight..... the first half he was mostly good but it could have been very. tragic.  He should have been picked in the RZ in the first quarter AND on the play to TE that went right through the safeties hands.  Better teams take advantage of those and pick those..... now let's see what that final score would have been?  He simply makes too many mistakes.  Many good plays (although his deep ball is still ridiculously bad), but too many bad ones.

The pick 6 was not on Wingo. He needed to eat that ball. Plain and simple. 100% on Quinn and nobody else.

He also threw into triple coverage and inexplicably missed that throw to wingo.  Quinn has a cannon and is easy to root for but he’s in his head.
