Costco opening a free-standing gas station in Mission Viejo CA.  Will not be connected to a store.

Interesting location. Not the best access there. I’ll still use it though…

CostCo needs to switch to Sierra Nevada products.  I'd let my wife go scour the store for an hour and I'd get my drink on.

My (long ago) return experience at Costco.

I have a roughly 6 month old 19” TV with integrated DVD player.  I paid like $399 for it at the time.  DVD player fails.  I take it into Costco in an attempt to either (1) have them guide me with a warranty claim or (2) exchange the for the same thing.

They say, “we’ll just refund and you can go buy a new one.”
I respond, “well, they are $100 less expensive now.  I am good with an exchange.”
Costco person says, “It is a different model number, so we cannot do an exchange.”
They insist.  I tell them that this is an unsustainable model, as people will take advantage of it, especially at the rate of technology change these days.

Took about a decade, but they made the change.

I recently returned a rose bush that had died.  It owned it for about 6 weeks.  The other 9 I bought survived.  After a couple of months, the problem is me.

The assohole who returned a stained bed after 7 years should have his privileges revoked.

Don't know if this is the right thread (or should it be getting old suxes) but I hear Costco's hearing aids were awesome about $4000 cheaper than my doctors brand.  Any comment?  Speak UP please.

We just purchased some for the mil. Went with the 5k pair because her hearing loss is substantial. The dr said the Costco pair can be good for many but due to her age and amount of hearing loss he recommended the more technologically advanced pair.

Not gonna lie, I read the response before the quote, and I thought you were talking about diapers.

If you've heard that, it's likely you don't actually need them.

For 5k, of course he did.

You can read about it online and the pros and cons of each. What's online matched what the dr said. I had the same attitude as you at first but a little research...

Are all the online resources indirectly paid for by the hearing aid manufacturer? Because with medical that's often the case.

If the patient has the capability to fine tune their hearing aids through their phone, or doesn't have severe hearing loss, I think OTC is fine. But that just like my opinion.

They are far from OTC.

Costco hearing aids are awesome and usually no more than $1600. Their audiologists are great and facilities are equivalent to hearing tests that I have done at my ENT clinic.

I went with the Phillips, almost 3 years ago. My dog chewed one up last week and Costco sent it back to see if it could be miraculously repaired. That said, Im getting a new hearing test and will buy a pair of the 9050s because I was so pleased with the previous model. And if the old 9030 can't be repaired, I might buy two pair of the latest model to have a backup pair, since Im 90 miles from the closest store, and I travel a lot and am rough on them. I can't live without them.

Their repair and cleaning service is wonderful, and usually takes no more than 10 minutes, even if they have to swap out new speakers.

They sell about 4 different brands (Sennheiser, Jabra, Philips and one other), and I can usually find a few hundred in other purchases whenever I make a Costco run.

Costco some good prices on ribeyes and liquor but not worth dealing with the crowds unless you're having people over. The whole place is a giant clusterfuck - from the parking lot to the fat fucks waddling around and clogging the aisles while they fill their carts up with junk food and sweatpants.

Get the Executive Membership and you can shop 1hr earlier than the plebs. Also, if you spend enough you get enough cash back to cover your membership. We have always received more back than what the membership costs.

It’s comforting that your bad takes aren’t limited to just football.

Costco Fri or Sat right when they open and you’re in and out in 30-40 minutes, and that’s going down damn near every aisle.

Lucky enough to live near a "Business Costco"- No clothes, no books, no "seasonal sales" that create the crowds. Huge inventory of office/business related supplies (obviously), but it's the best place to shop for produce and food. They always have tomahawk ribeyes (lower cost than even the 'regular' Costco), primal cuts, full lambs/goats for grilling. Better quality produce as well.
