I could be wrong, but I really believe that coming out of a couple of years of the world being shut down due to covid had as much or more of an effect on F1's attendance boom as Netflix did. Maybe now we're going to start seeing some regression to the norm. Could be an interesting time. In the meantime, The US races will ride the wave, charging as much as possible. COTA USGP seats aren't exactly selling like hotcakes either, but however many they sell, they'll call it a sellout regardless.

I'm sure there is some, but accessibility there has been heavily criticised by differently-abled folks. IIRC one guy even sued them over it.

We went to Vegas a couple of weeks ago and had a driver from Cosmo take us the airport and got to talking about the race.  Cosmo is going to close their main entrance because it's on the strip as are all the other big casinos.  He was convinced it's going to be a shitshow because they aren't prepared for that kind of traffic disruption in the middle of the city.  No one will be able to get anywhere.

Oof, that’s not good.

I have no knowledge of availability for the upcoming USGP, but the best seats I've ever had there are the HC platform at the top of T16.  Pushing your friend all the way up the ramps is less than ideal, but not a better seat in the house.  You can see T1 down into T2, the esses and 12-16/17/18 w/ some obstruction form the tower.

Koval Street east of the Strip and Sinatra Drive... as well as Dean Martin Drive (west of the Freeway) have been my friends for years.

I got pushback last year for suggesting that Leclerc makes more unforced errors than other top drivers. Oopsie.

Yep. He's quick AF, but the mistakes have always been his biggest weakness.

It was also interesting that when Danica asked what happened to him this year, if he had changed anything, Fernando said he hadn't had the confidence previously from the team in what he can do, including with setting up the car. "I didn't change anything but Aston Martin changed everything for me".

In your face, Alpine.

Heavy rain overnight, so green track today. Very windy with low rain chances this afternoon, but it's Florida, so who knows.

I'm more concerned about KMag lined up directly behind Alonso, with Russell right behind KMag. If Fernando can survive L1T1, he might have a good day.

Valteri is totally owning that mustache.

Got damn Finnish Dale Earnhardt Jr

Watching Martin Brundle work the crowd on the track pre-race is the best. “We’re gonna see if I can find some celebrities to be ignored by. Or whatever.”
