How will Arch ever recover from this blow?

What a pathetic headline. My goodness. Dude graduated and they act like he was betrayed by his lifelong friend. Gotta get clicks somehow I guess.

It's on par with many other ridiculous headlines I have seen since Arch committed to Texas. All click baits.

Anybody reading The Mirror deserves what they get

I don't read the Mirror. It showed up on my screen like many other Texas related headlines.

Arch's short interview before the Peach Bowl:

A couple of things to note -

 - He immediately says Wingo and Deandre Moore when asked who he has a good rapport with. Makes sense but still a great sign as our top returning WRs.

 -  When asked about what he learned from his 2 starts, he said that "if I get game-like reps in practice, it will carry over."

Let's remember that Arch enrolled at Texas in January 2023. We are right now entering Year 3 with Sark's offense and playbook. This will be his first Spring getting starter reps. He clearly held the ball too long and was adjusting to game speed in real time vs. UTSA and ULM at times. Better vs. Miss St.

Win or lose vs. Ohio State, he's gonna learn A TON after Week 1, then has a month of cupcakes (and a bye sprinkled in) to get prepared for SEC play.

Nothing to do with this statement specifically, but I wanted to comment that I usually end up disliking most superstars.
Arch isn't a superstar yet, but he's known for two years that he will be the star at Texas.

This is most likely one of the most, if not THE most unique quarterback-in-waiting situation that I know of.
And Arch really seems to be genuinely down to earth.

Meanwhile, his Uncles are commercial-monkeys and I guess that's okay lol.

That family enjoying the media and its opportunities ($$$) are part of why he can sit comfortably on the bench for 2 years without a worry. He will absolutely be doing the same if/when he makes it to the NFL.

I love their commercials.

I’d rather watch their version of MNF than the regular feed/show on ESPN. They bring so much more “insight” to the play calling and pre/post play comments than your average color commentator. Plus they usually have 3Qtr guests that add to the funny activities.

This is a True Fact. So good I can actually stand to watch an NFL game and listen to them tear it apart. Jerrah should hire Peyton immediately... if he could afford it.

The patron saint of not dragging down ANY player has spoken!  "i DON'T SPeNd pAGES DRagGING DOWN Any plaYer...I sPread iT ouT InteRmitTEnTLy So I'M HoLIeR tHan THOU!!"  You seriously compared a 450+ page thread where many different people both praised and criticized a QB, to you not having a 450 page hate thread on a WR? GTFO 🤣  And most of the pages are from people posting accurate critiques of Quinn and you feeling the need to defend every single point and gaslighting people.

First look at who repped you to see your post was shit.

The fact that the thread is 450 pages and the O-line thread is only 88 is blowing up your "accurate critiques" theory. Cam Williams alone has spent all year being a turnstile for any decent pass rusher and racking up penalties but the O-line thread has only moved 11 pages all season. RB thread same thing. Sark thread finally got necro-bumped. The one consistent thread is the QE thread. QE gets sacked it's because he didn't step up in the pocket. QE steps up in the pocket and gets sacked its because he self sacked. Can't run the football it's because QE isn't a running threat. Defense doesn't play well its because QE didn't do his job on offense. We blame the kid for everything. It isn't simply "accurate critiques". All of us are pretty rational all over this board except that thread. And its the same posters over and over. Why? Because they want to see Arch play. The plan has always been for him to sit and learn. Everything is perfectly on schedule.

Yeah, 25 people liked my post, so it was shit. Great point, genius. You said "I don't run around spending pages dragging down ANY player" and I simply quoted 27 of the hundreds of times you've dragged Worthy. I hope you defend Arch half as much as you've done with Quinn.

Arch has the size, speed, arm, and running ability that Sark spends sleepless nights drawing up X and O’s for the future schemes. IMO - Sark can’t wait for Spring Ball to implement 50-75% of the plan. The rest will come on the Fall camp.

We do need to portal 2-3 IOLs to help solidify the plan prior to Fall camp.

He will be one of the first to show up the moment Arch throws an incompletion.

many of you will be surprised at how our offense looks with Arch

I also love Peyton's non-verbal cues when he observes mental mistakes.  In the first half, he's a little more reserved, but in the second half he's quite animated and direct.  When someone makes a really good play, he says.  When someone makes a mistake, he says it.  Moreover, he never denigrates the person, just the play/decision.

I’d rather watch the Wayans brothers do a college last name skit while we’re at it.

Or the one with A-Aron, where are you?

Hook’em!!!

Wasn’t that Key and Peele that did that skit?

Also, sorry for your loss.

You are so correct. I can visualize them going over roster last names but thought the wrong comedians.

in the little bit that we saw Arch I was very excited by how poised he was in the pocket.......I was very excited by his ability to scramble and run, though I hope having him run more frequently is not a major part of the offense and more of a "he can do it when something breaks down" part of the offense

I hate to say his ball security makes me nervous....the ball seemed to come loose at the end of a lot of his bigger gain plays and I am not excited by that.....that is going to require a lot of focusnessness from the coaching staff

I still stand by the thought that when Arch ran for a 1st vs OSU and TV reviewed if he “fumbled,” they should’ve used the same replay for Targeting. He got hit helmet to helmet, behind his ear hole. When he got up, he staggered and looked punch drunk instead of celebrating making a 1st down.

Arch never stepped on the field after that play and frankly (IMO) why he wasn’t used at the goal line with the game to win. Never got brought up in the post-game PCs, but that’s my belief.

Key and Peel. That was a little over a decade ago, the Wayans brothers were 30 years ago.

You are also one of the jackasses on that thread. Arch already threw incompletions. He also threw interceptions, got sacked, and fumbled. I've been here the whole time. Just like I have been for all of our QBs dating back decades. Or any player. I have defended many players not just Quinn. Back when Diaz was the coach I was the main one saying it wasn't the players it was the scheme much to the laughter of posters like you. Until Robinson came in and had the defense fixed in about 10 minutes with the exact same players.  Then all the sudden posters like you got very quiet.

Arch is going to be a good player, but the offense will still have shortcomings. They may be different shortcomings, but shortcomings nonetheless. When that happens bring the same energy you did this season. Blame him for every failure on offense and then start talking about how you don't think he is draftable.
