I'm gonna go ahead and guess this actually won't be the worst news he gets in the next week or so.

He's going to have a major stroke pretty soon. That and the rapid onset dementia.

Been several years for me, and I'd consider it.

We’ve said this shit for years now and it’s never come to fruition. The simulation will not allow it.

if his victory speech is any indication, he will die doing what he loved, lying about elections.

He won't be dying until late summer/early autumn.  And I'm trying hard to stay sober.  And I don't know you IRL.  But when he goes, we are absolutely getting shitfaced and launching cocaine bottle rockets into the air and ingesting the remnants.  I am firing my pistol into the air, shitting in public, buying a waffle house, telling 100 people I know who worship him to fuck off and join him, injecting LSD into my skull, shoving mushrooms up my ass, eating viagra with a gin chaser, burning my voter registration card, cooking my steak well-done, chugging the 1976 Bordeaux I still have, telling my doctor to fuck off, and spinning the collective recordings of a Mister Ronan Sinatra on my newfound pre-amped vinyl player.  And only then will I venture downtown to see his people murder one another as God intended.  JFC, we are closer to it than I thought, timewise.  Somebody get the anal beads and Maker's 46.  This may be a good year after all...

365,000 voted for Trump in 2020 in New Hampshire in the general.  Yeah, most don't vote in primaries, but that's interesting.

Also, Tim Scott has as much chance of sniffing the VP slot as Greg Abbott does.

It'll be Kristi Noem (Kari Lake is too looney for him).

Same in NYC.  It was GLORIOUS. Cannot wait!  Dancing in the streets will happen. Bells will peal in London, Paris, and other cities in the world in celebration.  GLORIOUS.

I meant in the primary.  Is there a figure if primary turnout was down this year?

Well yeah, because Biden is the 46th president.  I thought it was appropriate.  The last bottle of bourbon I bought was Maker's 46 before 2020 election night as a nod to Joe winning.  No good?  I mean, I should probably go for something more high-brow but I'm trying not to drink anymore but figured it'd be appropriate if Trump goes down (either in the election or into the grave).  The booze isn't my worry, it's me being shot for flaunting his death in public or not knowing how to handle heroin-laced 'ludes.  And I'm a guy who could handle my shit in the day.

I dunno if it works exactly this way, but NYT’s current results numbers imply about 320k total votes.

You want to look at 2016, not 2020

2016 was 285k

Didn’t realize that Nikki put him in the Senate. Very cold to stab her in the back like that.

It's hard for Tim Scott to stab any woman in the back.  Because he can't get hard.  Ya see?  NTTAWWT.  He's just another guy looking to blow Trump.  But for very different reasons.

This has got to hurt trump so bad.  I love it.  I mean, I'm gonna die after a bender, but it's good for the nation.

If you take the 287k in the 2016 Republican Primary, and compare it to the 2016 General (turnout 345k), there was a 1.2 correlation to Primary to General.

In the 2020 election Democrats had 425k votes to Republican votes of 366k.  In order to out perform that with the same correlation Republicans would need to eclipse about 305k tonight.

Of course all that presumes things being equal.  The exit polls show that certainly isn't the case, and largely in our favor.

Obviously some of us are going to the hospital that night.  But it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

I was literally sitting here thinking about the constant drip of defeatism settling over Trump and the grind of his schedule and legal issues.  That he may go faster into that good night than we previously thought.  And what do I tell my wife about my escapades that night?  What do I tell my Uber driver when I get into the backseat with a bug-out bag, an envelope full of thousands in cash, a carton of cigarettes, another carton of fireworks, my LTC weapon, and then I keep asking him to stop off here and there.  "Are you picking up a friend, sir?"  Yeah dude, one stop here in South Austin for my friend named Blow and then another stop in East Austin for my friend named Xanax, and then one more stop for my friend with a name they haven't invented yet but it's some combination of Old Spice & Molly-infused acid.  So yes, those are my friends this evening.  If we get in a pinch, here's $4k and we're going to Mexico, Alberto Rojas.

I am not exaggerating when I say that I will be celebrating in public like it was a combination of VE Day, VJ Day, the Longhorns winning a national title, and I’ve got Sela Ward on one arm and Susanna Hoffs on the other, and my wife is congratulating me and telling me how she’s gonna join in.
Correction…I’ll be celebrating 10X more than if all that happened.

What a pathetic list. I thought you said you were gonna celebrate, but not a single mention of launching an actual Saturn V rocket while ingesting meth ludes X up your butt while singing To Those About to Rock and performing the cannon parts with actual cannons. Among many other glaring omissions in your list. I’m embarrassed FOR you.
For a whole week.

You misspelled “year.”

Is there like a way we can put a Surly option call on a badass VRBO rental when they announce Trump is on his deathbed?  Because I'm starting to think this party is more of an Away Game event where we need to be away from our families for health and safety reasons?  Don't get me wrong, we're still getting hookers and strippers, but I by the time it happens---we can't just all up and leave.  Like, we need to have some sort of call option in place where if shit goes sideways for him, we have this mechanism in place and we all suddenly "have to attend this conference out in the Hill Country, sweetheart."  And then we have everything ready to go.  Room for 20 of us, dancers, escorts, booze, drugs, fireworks, midgets, celestial telescopes, anal probes, micro-dosing, vegan steaks, professional oyster shuckers, boxed wine curators, knitting station, organ donation, etc.  All that shit.  I think maybe a 3-day bender off the grid pre-paid may be the way to go after all.  Otherwise, I know I'm gonna get shot downtown.

To be fair, I've made some Democratic contributions the last few years and they are just as bad about non-stop emails and texts (and even door-knockers).  That's just the fundraising machine on both sides in a valuable state like ours.
David Mamet (now of UATX fame) told me a story about a certain Democratic State Senator doing cocaine on the set of one of his movies.  I repeated it one time.  And now, I'm on her fundraising list forever.  Politics is weird 'n shit.
Fair enough, I got a lot of movement after Beto from Dems, but nothing beats deleting 15 texts from a bunch of asshole GOP all caps fear mongering assholes daily for months. I know the rhetoric and propaganda, but getting bludgeoned by it gets stale.

Why is a female VP an assumed thing now?  Especially on the R side.
