IIRC it was 2018, definitely under Northam.

Exactly, so not that easy to compare to previous cycles of the laws changed after 16 and 20 was an anomaly election

Sarah Longwell and Tim Miller confuse me.  They're anti Trump now but we're Republicans pollsters/strategists before.

Both are gay.  How is any sane gay person a Republican?

We have two bears down the street that are the most MAGA people you will ever see, mostly because they are 100% insane. One was a nurse at my sons pediatric, and he is legit nutbar.

78 year old Trump sexing up a nasty 31 year old. 70 year old RFK Jr. getting noods from a decent 31 year old. Play on, players.

I try not to judge anyone for what they do in their bedrooms and who they're attracted to, but you're 31 and look like that, and that's the dick you risk your career over??

This feels like a challenge to see how long Cheryl Hines will stick around. It's been getting increasingly ridiculous for awhile now. The next one will be that he actually had sex with the bear.

It seems we are at the beginning of the phase where people that only vote in presidential elections are starting to bandwagon on the perceived "winning side".  I'm sure dotard will get his normal jump over polling data because so many people are too embarrassed to admit to a stranger that they support the bag of shit, but the shift towards dotard may be more muted this time around.

We have no idea what daddy issues that chick has which could explain that shit.

I just saw a totally wild trump add with Harris next to outlandish transgender images talking out how she supports taxpayer funded transgender surgery to prisoners. It was absurd but I’m sure some will find it effective.

2020 was R+1 (40/41/19) and 2022 was R+3 (37/40/24). Fetterman won by around 5 points (51-46) which tracks closely to the poll result.

Interesting

Right, I was just trying to think of a state with an even number of House reps.

As it currently stands, assuming straight party line votes, we're looking at 24 Trump to 23 Harris. DCCC is targeting two AZ districts (AZ-01, AZ-06) which could bring it to a 23-23 tie. Minnesota and NC are deadlocked but those districts are all very safe R and most of the current reps are MAGA nuts and/or election deniers, the closest race being NC-11, 53-44 (Madison Cawthorn's former district). Patrick McHenry of NC-10 voted to certify the electoral votes of Arizona and Pennsylvania, but he isn't seeking re-election and his district was redrawn to be even more MAGA. That seat will be held by Pat Harrigan, who is loony and would not have certified the results.

Even if the Dems take the house, I don't see any of the above flipping besides (possibly) Arizona. Much better to avoid an EC tie.

Scratch that, it's 25-23 Trump, but if you look at the Constitution it requires "a Majority of all the States" which in this case has to be 26. In other words, there's a pretty strong argument that there can be no Trump president until one of the MN or NC deadlocks are broken, and no Harris presidency unless AZ switches to a deadlock and all three deadlocks (AZ, MN, NC) are broken in her favor.

Just a friendly reminder that NC is 7-7 now but was redrawn to ensure it is 10-4 after November. It will not be a tied delegation.

I can’t imagine any of that shit helps him with non MAGA people. Just more fear and weirdness.

Good thing Biden has full immunity, can stay in power, and hand things off to Kamala.  Thanks SCOTUS!

10-4 good guys or 10-4 Trump?

I don’t know who she is, and while  I have a feeling there are no Trumpanzees in attendance, it still triggers them on the socials so good for her.

She's insanely popular (along with her band Paramore).  They basically lift their music and style and art from other artists -- I could show you something that would make you laugh -- but she's on the Swifty train and reaches a ton of people as Taylor's opening act.

The NCGOP and the complicit SCONC pushed through horrible 10-4 GOP maps.

As much as it pains me to say, you are correct

LOL. Bret Stephens is a Republican and has been very critical of Kamala in his editorials. However, I do not think he supports Trump, so this rant sort of makes sense.

Donny showing his misogyny by calling Stephanie Ruhle a bimbo.

Well he's a total loser who seems unsure of himself and confused. Sad

Just gonna parse this out for my homies who think this could go to the House (it will not, and thank God) - I did the math.

The GOP will likely have a 26-23 edge in House delegations after the November elections - Dems would need to flip 2 seats in IA and 2 seats in WI to force those into a tied delegation and you'd have 3 delegations abstaining with Trump ahead 24-23.  They'd also need to keep their slim edge in CO, AZ, PA, MI and ensure MN stays 4-4.

DC gets 3 EVs but does not get a vote if it goes to the House.  Womp.  Even though I have the House at likely 230 Dem, 204 GOP, all those beautiful blue seats in CA and NY don't help if it goes to the House in a 269-269 tie.

I don't even want to know the politicking to get Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota to pick a candidate if they are all tied delegations and keeping anyone under 26 votes.  You'd be asking Wisconsin and Minnesota to vote against their popular vote and same with Iowa.

If he's interested at all in the possibility of winning, he needs to accept that and hope for a Hail Mary.

I still think he wants to lose just so he can keep playing the victim and keep asking for more money.

His whole life is whining and asking for money regardless of his station at the time.  If he loses he could face the dildo of consequences

Dems don't have an edge in AZ if you're talking about house delegations

I watched about five minutes of this last night. Stephens think democrats shouldn't talk about Trump in terms like "danger to democracy" or "wannabe autocrat" because it will upset Dotardarians.

A great example of republicans can do anything and democrats have to be perfect.

“Hurr durr she should do a different kind of interview. Then maybe I’ll vote for democracy.”

I don't even understand why her alleged lack of a platform is a thing.  She has spoken in more detail than Trump ever has about her plans.  He just says dumb shit like "I will slash your insurance premium bump in half!".

I watched Stop the Steal this week and it's simply amazing to me that the "just keep saying it in an attempt to will it into existence" strategy is still as effective as it is.  It is a sad indictment on a large portion of our countrymen and women.
