Certainly assuming there is some element of mental illness in play.  Really odd, that the guy who has 2 ivy league degrees decides to hang out in Pennsyltucky (couple of hours from home and 4 hours from the scene of the crime) while keeping the murder weapon and the fake ID on him (along with a few other IDs, if I understood correctly).  Why not, shave part of the unibrow, cut / bleach your hair?  He's bound to have known his images had been captured / shared everywhere.  I could understand if he had been constantly on the move but it seems like he probably arrived there within a day or two and just decided no one would ever look for him there.  On top of that, who eats inside a McDonald's???  You get that shit to go!!

Read his manifesto rag.  He didn't just want to kill this dude and get away with it while no one knew who or why.  He's wanting to spark a movement.

Well he’s definitely wrong about that. We have really profoundly stupid media and political representatives because the American people really are that stupid. It’s not the other way around

Actually, for those of us who have been around that long.....on Hornfans, there WAS some live-blogging type stuff.  Posters reaching out and communicating from NYC because that was the only way they could get messages out, etc.  Historically, it was kind of fascinating.

Crazy how the British have an easier time getting a suppressor than Americans. Founders rolling in their graves over this.

Yeah but the British stand in those rows, wear red coats, and musta been a 100 of them beatin on the drums. Silencers don't even figure.

we see that already. i'd wager a lot that there's a significant crossover in the venn diagram of posters with the vapors over the general 'meh' reaction to this murder and posters that had very similar reactions to a punk gunning down some guys in Minneapolis. or a guy pardoned for actively looking for trouble in Austin and finding it.

yeah, not great bob...but we are already here, we've been here for a while, and it's only been reinforced of late. so...yeah.

Yeah fuck thats an excellent point of context for @Skipper. Just going out looking for trouble, finding it, and killing a guy just because you disagree with him is explicitly legal in our Great State of Texas. Abbott out front shoulda told ya.

Luigi just needs to get a sympathetic governor that doesn't care about the rule of law or a jury verdict to pardon him like Daniel Perry did

Seem to recall several posters throughout all the BLM protests vocalizing support for drivers plowing through and running over people in the streets, too.

The problem we are facing is that basically everyone thinks they and no one else should get to edit the social contract line by line. But really all you’re doing is using a lighter.

The "social contract," is god for atheists.

There are a lot of people who yearn for the Purge too. Wait that's me, kind of. I'm more team orca than team man or team octopus, though.

A whole town killed a dude cause the law wouldn't do anything about him. Not condoning but I get it.

But also a dude killed a whole town because the law just wouldn't let him be.

And that man's name was...

you guessed it.

Frank Sta...

no wait...

Cool. I'm sure if we just ask the people in Washington nicely they'll help us change the system. The people have spoken, the trans girl playing volleyball out west is a far more important outrage.

Hate to break it to you, but that’s not a “girl”

I heard at least one “manifesto” was a fake

The 1st one posted was an obvious fake. Whoever wrote it was bitching about being poor and having a mother with neuropathy they couldn't afford to treat.

The actual perp is a little silver spooned bitch.

We just need a few copycats to start murdering rich windbag lawyers and software engineers. We'll definitely see a sharp drop in murder support around here.

Or will we?

Moving past whether to condone outright assassination attempts is morally acceptable or not...my question is for the Surly legal brigade. If UHC employs a tactic to delay and deny coverage because patients will die first before they can win an appeal does that open them up for potential civil lawsuits? If the families could prove that the failure in coverage directly led to death wouldn't that open up for a windfall in penalties?

Just wondering if hitting them in the pocketbooks could be more effective in beating back that corporate greed. Why isn't that happening? Explain it to me like I'm a third grader.

If a couple of rich left leaning lawyers got whacked this week, there's at least one ambulance chaser here that would have his whole family on a plane to Europe. Or threaten to.

The CAD file for the lower and the parts kits are readily available. People have been building these for several years now. This is the 1st high profile crime committed with a printed gun as far as I know. If it’s unclear, the lower (or frame) is the printed part. The lower/frame is the grip that holds the trigger, magazine, etc, and it is the legal firearm.

I really can’t believe that this is the correct picture. Are people really stippling 3d printed frames?
