“You want some chicken? You ain’t getting it here, bro,” Wayne Davis can be heard taunting the agents through the door.

About a minute into the video, the agents and Bovino are seen getting into the SUVs and driving away. “Bye-bye,” Davis can be heard saying as he waves in front of the camera, then adds, “f*** you.”

Goddammit.  I usually put a pretty sharp eye to avoid AI garbage, and here we are.

We genuinely live in a post-truth world.  It's over.

Nearly perfect AI fakes used as a political tool.  Nope don’t want that at all.

I do want enforcement of the law.  I’m not in favor of the current means and methods of immigration enforcement.

I can't fathom posters here who have a childlike understanding of politics and how adults have to deal with imperfect decisions day in and day out no matter who is elected.

"I can't fathom someone wouldn't support a candidate who will fix potholes and keep taxes steady but also believes that entire categories of people are subhuman and openly despises even the bare notions of constitutional due process."

There are things you can compromise on, and accept as imperfections.  "Yeah, he's exactly who I want on transportation, taxation, and education issues, but I really don't like his stance on environmental regulations" is really, really fucking different than "Yeah, he's exactly who I want on transportation, taxation, and education issues, but he wants to create a gestapo not bound by any laws or notions of humanity and decency and deploy them against anyone he deems to be a 'suspect' ethnic group."  Shit like that is a deal-breaker for decent human beings.

On the bright side, if AI and its champions of it being completely unregulated and unfettered have their way, "the rest of our lives" really won't be very long.  So, cheer up!  It's almost over!

And don't forget to add "and impossible to seek any recourse for, civilly or criminally," thanks to Elon and his boys.  They can crank out as much AI bullshit as they want, intended to engineer the results of elections, corporate governance, shareholder votes, etc. etc.....with absolute, total, 100% immunity.  Zero laws.  Zero regulations.  Total license to use AI to do whatever they want.  Because they are the lords of us, and don't you peasants forget it.

This circumstance brought to you by a political class that will serve up the people on a silver platter to their billionaire masters at every opportunity.

I completely disagree that enforcement of immigration law through removal of illegal immigrants is the absolute morally superior choice to the deaths and human trafficking issues that have occurred for decades at the southern border all while being completely denied as a reality, most specifically and enthusiastically by the Biden administration.

Quite literally blood on their hands.

But that's not what's happening.  Motte and Bailey fallacy.  I mean, textbook example.

What is actually happening is that the administration (1) has created one of the largest militaries in the world, (2) that military is literally one of the best-funded militaries in the world, (3) it has deployed it entirely within our borders, (4) it acts indiscriminately against people regardless of their actual legal status, (5) instead acting against people based on their ethnicity, then - often after assaulting and/or significantly detaining them -- putting the burden of proof on THEM to prove that they are citizens, (6) all while they are also acting against people who are currently here with legal status (you don't get to skip past the revocation of legal status for Haitian refugees, Venezuelan refugees, etc.....and you don't get to skip past the fact that they are nabbing people who are FOLLOWING the law, have status, and are showing up to immigration appointments).  Oh, and don't forget (7), they want to deny even fucking tourist visas to ordinary, law-abiding people, if their social media has anything on it that even hints at "gee, this Trump guy kinda sucks."  So, add fucking "thought police" to the fucking resume.

If what ICE was an ordinary law enforcement body, and all it was doing was (1) arresting known illegal immigrants while acting as law enforcement not a fucking occupying military force....and that's it...we wouldn't have nearly the issue that the other fucking numbers in my list above create.  We've done this item (1) before, under both Dem and Repub presidents.  It works.  We are doing something WAY different than that, and you know exactly why.  The fucking administration has openly declared that it is acting to create a white ethnostate, using terrorist tactics, and by the way is also ready and willing to deploy that military force against anyone who dissents against he regime.

Well, there's imperfect and then there's ludicrous.

Yep, and you can tell a lot about which side people (voters) are willing to err on - the side of upholding the constitution and all of our civil rights, or the side of selectively 'enforcing the law', while willfully turning a blind eye to obviously illegal, vile, reprehensible shit that would have turned most of their stomachs sometime not too far in the past.

And if we wanted to slow down illegal immigration, reducing the need for rounding people up, we should start by drying up the jobs here - go after the companies and people who are hiring them, proving them an impetus to come here illegally in the first place. As long as there are better jobs here, they will continue to try and come here and they will risk it.

Combine that with trying to improve conditions in those nations so they never leave in the first place, and create new markets for American businesses there if we can boost those countries’ economies. Maybe we could call such an organization….I dunno…maybe “USAID”.

We have nowhere near the labor force here to satisfy the demand for jobs in agriculture , construction, landscaping, domestic care, hospitality and foodservice, and any number of countless demanding jobs that fat lazy “Americans” would never do.  When that labor force dries up from these policies, our economic house of cards is going to collapse.

There were actually deaths at the southern border as a result of human trafficking?

And the Biden administration denied this?

Show your work.

Also, if there was a lot of human trafficking occurring at the southern border (there probably was, but not simply "border crossers"), who are the undocumented immigrants remaining in the US?  The victims or the perpetrators?  Guess it doesn't matter, deport em all, just in case, right?

It is much better that they die in a prison in El Salvador, that's obviously what they deserve.

Why, that sounds like something that would drastically affect their bottom lines (having to pay workers full wages and benefits and what not), thus being something that the GOP would never, ever, ever go for. Much better to make absolutely zero effort to resolve border issues in a bipartisan manner, keeping immigration a wedge issue, and stoking fear about drugs, human trafficking, and caravans every October. Then, waiting until an easily manipulated nincompoop takes office to have the true believers, while nationalists, and racists at the Heritage Foundation (and similar) in his ear to do our absolute worst as a country.

THAT'S how you solve a border crisis.

No, it’s Biden’s fault his administration steadfastly refused to enforce immigration laws and thousands died as a result.  See above.

The fact he scrambled to attempt to cover up his mendacity doesn’t change anything.
