Why didn’t it mushroom?  

Not a hollow point. Full metal jacket rounds don’t deform that much. Shot plenty of 9mm and 40 SW into a dirt backstop that were later dug out and looked perfect except for rifling grooves.

Yes, but they had to do it 3 or 4 times before it finally happened. You have to shoot at a specific angle and the ice has to be thick enough.

Both of my IHC pickups are like that. My TravelAll even has a front fender port for a firewall mounted secondary tank. That seems safe.

One of those grain trucks has an additional tank mounted between the seat and the rear of the cab. I don’t use that one.

My C-10 has a behind the seat tank and two saddle tanks in front of the rear wheel wells.  I only use the behind the seat tank.
