Wasn't just me. The whole board lost our shit. Going 0-for on the 3 Oline visits was not a good start. Then news of Harris being a dipshit and running everyone off. Maybe this was the plan all along or maybe we fucked up so badly that we had a come to Jesus meeting to get everyone aligned.

Either way, I'm happy as shit we got our shit together.

Harris is still a dipshit.

If we were a play away in 2023 and 2024, we can get it done this time.

a play away from what?

Gotta stay healthy and get a good playoff path. Any of those things that derail a dream season

Injuries can but you beat who is in front of you, win your games and you are the best.

It's all about the OL now. Best set of playmakers in a while but have to block for them to do anything.

Oof

Seems like a red flag if your incoming portal player’s only available profile picture is in practice gear.

Yep, that’s pretty much the situation. Some/many won’t like this new era. Remains to be seen if that collective dislike will be detrimental to the sport/lead to changes. For emphasis, high school recruiting inevitably takes a backseat to the portal in this environment unless you can identify “immediate contributors” among incoming freshmen

Out of the 100,000 people that show up at DKR every home game, how many actually follow or care about recruiting or know the roster?

He didn't fit in the landscape lens either.

I've learned that the most important phase of the portal period in terms of evaluating the coach and gm is right at the beginning. Whatever judgment one expresses in the critical period must be strictly maintained lest activity in the later periods challenge the judgment. Repeat the judgment to yourself and everybody else as it magnifies your reputation and provides immense insight and entertainment. Pages. Pages. Lots of pages, too.

10%

The championship (and a near guaranteed win in 2024, being favored in 23)

a guaranteed win, huh? some of you people baffle me.

Not to be that guy but we're 1 or 2 OL from probably having a legit argument for being ranked #1 in the preseason polls.

have they decided on the victory parade route ???

I'll go out on a limb here and make a prediction. The people with teams that bring in great portal adds and go on to compete for/win national championships will love it. Those that have teams that don't will say the sport is being ruined and the old way was much much better. Nevermind they weren't winning much before the portal era.

I'm happy with today's development so far. It doesn't hurt that the Aggies, poised to be ranked number two in the final polls if Miami defeats Indiana, are reminded once again that they're not all that.

Thats why they hand out programs. Fans go to see Texas as a collective.

Can we get some site traffic info? Do you have a national heatmap?

It's been 45 fucking minutes since we landed a transfer commitment!

Fuck this fucking useless staff. We suck.

Let Harris cook. He needs to piss off some more 2nd/3rd stringers.

Wait, so Harris isn't fucking everything up? Most of you are just ignorant retards?

ND had 0 chance of beating us. They looked like a little league team against OSU.

And in many ways I am here for it. It truly puts the onus on the Coaches to do their thing. Many here have felt the recruiting rankings were overrated when we lose and now you are taking a PROVEM player on the CF stage to your team. If they stagnate or fail the eyes are where they should be: a team’s HC and his staff. It helps teams jettison a mediocre HC that isn’t the one. It’s good for the sport despite all the handwringing. It allows the Oregon States of the world to compete as well. I am all for ridding the college universe of shit coaches that fail upwards. The portal is as close as an equalizer as it gets. There is still a healthy pipeline for recruits but the emphasis shouldn’t be on a 18-19 year old to carry the team. Or be great out of the gate. I dig it.

Probably 10%, if I'm being generous. I would be willing to bet that a nontrivial percentage of attendees could not explain what is meant by cheers like "first and ten, do it again!"

So far we have acquired the ACC's leading tackler, the ACC's leading rusher (YPG), the Big 12's second leading rusher, the best SEC WR, and maybe the best guard from Oregon State.

Didn't this forum regularly clown Tom Herman for acting this immature in public?

As Harris hasn't flipped off the fans or mocked another players celebration...I dont think its quite comparable.

Fuck Georgia. This is what happens when everyone can now pay money above the table. Welcome to NIL, bitches.

It’s amazing the level of bitchatude these fans of schools have now that the portal has made everyone about as close to equal as we can be. I expect Kirby to be out on midfield every damn play this year.
